My dad looks happy and taken cared of, and that’s all that matters. The management team is great, making the registration process quick and easy. The staff is helpful and friendly, which contribute so much to my dad’s comfort, happiness and living conditions. I’ve heard horror stories about how elders are left to themselves in these types of homes. I don’t see that happening here (I visit my dad weekly). My dad has been there a little over a month. So far so good. I will keep you guys posted.

I have been here for over 2 years now, and living on the 7th floor has been a great experience”quiet, bright, and peaceful with nice views. The staff is attentive and supportive, which makes a big difference day to day. PT/OT services are a big plus”they’re consistent, helpful, and focused on maintaining independence. The recent room upgrades have also made the space feel more modern and comfortable. Overall, it’s a good balance of care, independence, and a pleasant living environment.

Castle Senior Living is a beautiful and welcoming community. The recreation program really stands out there are always fun and engaging activities that keep residents active and social. From group games to special events, it’s clear that a lot of thought goes into making sure everyone feels included and entertained. The flooring throughout the building is especially impressive. It’s clean, modern, and very well maintained, which makes the entire space feel polished and upscale. The decorations are also lovely and thoughtfully arranged, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere without feeling cluttered.

My grandma is a patient here and she’s loves it !! I love how clean and welcoming the place is and let’s not forget about the staff. I recently toured this community and was truly impressed, especially with the Memory Care unit. They have an entire second floor dedicated solely to Memory Care residents, and the space is beautifully renovated. Each resident has their own private room with ample living space, which really stood out to me. The recreation area is warm and welcoming, featuring a lovely fireplace and a large TV. During my visit, music was playing, and it was heartwarming to see residents enjoying themselves and even dancing along while seated. In the dining area, residents were engaged in activities such as coloring and listening to an aide read aloud, which created a calm and engaging environment. I also noticed there were at least four aides present on the floor, and with only around 20 residents total, it’s clear that the staff is able to provide attentive and personalized care. Overall, this is an exceptional community, and I was very impressed with the level of care, environment, and staff involvement.

My God-mother was a resident at Castle Senior Living for about 2years and I want to highlight a particular person, who took extra time and effort to insure that my she was cared for properly. Her name is Nancy Zabala. She went above and beyond the call of duty and cared for my Godmom as if they were family. Kept great communication with the family, always answering our calls and texts promptly. I know that every resident has a unique situation, difficult at times, but in spite of that, she always made us feel like we were the only ones she had to tend to. Nancy, I/We Thank you and we deeply appreciate all that you did for our Aunt and my beautiful Godmom. You are truly a blessing.

As recent new residents to Castle, we are exceptionally pleased with the facility, and even more pleased with Amina, who is the heart of Castle. She has real, palpable compassion for the residents, and is an exceptional person, working to make residents’ lives better every day. We looked at many ALP facilities, and all were lacking. Then we heard of Castle and met Amina. My wife and I were in a serious car accident with my wife suffering an internal decapitation. Of all the ALPs we saw, only Amina assuaged our concerns, and Debbie, the PA who runs medical assured us of proper treatment of my wife’s incredibly rare injury. We have been here a year and both Amina and Debbie have been absolutely true to their word. We are both getting the medication and care we need, not an easy thing to find in New York City. Abe, who efficiently runs Castle bent over backwards to arrange our residency. We are very grateful to them all. The facility is still in a state of flux with new management, but from management to housekeeping to medical to food service to personal aides, the staff are universally kind, caring and respectful, always cognizant of maintaining the dignity of residents. We are deeply appreciative of Abe, Avi, Fareeda and especially Amina’s kindness and compassion, and are very pleased to be Castle residents!

Castle Senior Living is a great Assisted Living! It is always clean whenever I visit. They have a spacious patio/garden for their residents to get fresh air. Most importantly, staff knows the residents really well and takes good care of them. The administrator Avi makes sure he stays on top of residents’ needs. He checks on hospitalized residents and their residents in rehab facilities. It’s all anyone could really hope for, that the place where you bring your loved ones are cared for. Castle Senior Living is that place.

Since last August our father has been a resident at Castle in the Serenity Garden, a space designated for dementia residence. Very recently, he had a traumatic medical event which required urgent hospital care followed by discharge but only to a hospice facility. Fortunately, Castle offers hospice care through their collaborators so he as sent "home". The care that he has been given there, principally by the Case Manager Nancy Carmen has been outstanding in our view. She was recently promoted to the position and under her leadership the space has transformed to one more lively, inviting and uber caring and fortunately for our father, the change came just in time. Our father is making great strides thanks to encouragement of all the staff as well as the excellent hospice service that was arranged by Castle and the team of staff doctors and therapists. I would consider them highly skilled as specialized training is surely required but beyond that they have a sensibility and empathy that no training can instill. Special people they are. We are truly grateful in knowing that dad is getting great care by people with the know how but also the passion to improve the lives of those in need. Thus, the five stars. for Castle and Nancy Carmen.

Sadly this place is not what it was a few years back!! They do not take of the seniors as they should, they stopped providing alot of the services that are essential for these older folks.. in addition the elevator is always out of service, leaving these elders staff walking up to 7 flights si inhumane, many have health conditions and this complicates it all adding unnecessary stress. Lately personal items have gone missing from the from the seniors bedroom, and the cleaningness has been in question. We will be reaching out to higher directors to look into the manny issues this place has.

After being jn the new facility for 2 days I called Castle back and asked to come back as castle is the best assisted living out there. Im back 2 weeks now and have never been happier. High recommend ! This place is amazing ! My mum live there and she love it . They have a pet terapy , they do it a lot things for residents for example bingo , yesterday they bring her for concert , art and crafts , staff is very friendly and always happy ! My 100 year old aunt lives at Castle. We visited this past week and were so happy with the care and amenities. All staff always helpful, I am so grateful for my brothers choice here at Castle! What is here at the castle which I have been established that for almost half a year now I can tell you the staff, the food, the entertainment and living structure is one of the best I have ever seen out of any assisted-living in New York City and furthermore even outside of New York City because I’ve had dealt with places in Florida Connecticut and also New Jersey as far as the standards are concerned here at Castle senior living I can say it is more than five stars as even eating in the dining room here myself I have been served like a guest at a five-star restaurant I want to recommend very highly this place for anyone who’s looking for an assisted living . My Dad recently moved into Castle. What was a difficult decision, became easier with each visit to Castle. The people there, particularly Valina Oswald, showed kindness and compassion with every step. Ms. Oswald was continually responsive and helpful, even with her busy schedule of dealing with new admissions and tours each day. We were able to get a private room for Dad, something not so easy to come by with ALPs, which he is able to customize to his liking. The staff was friendly, the facility was clean and well kept, and the rooms were spacious and accommodating. There are plenty of activities for Mom and the menu looked great. We were provided a complimentary lunch, which Mom enjoyed. Parking was made easy with a huge lot right in front of the building. We are looking forward to Mom moving in very soon.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
