Melody Assisted Living and Memory Care is a wonderful community. We moved my mother from another facility to Melody's memory care and couldn't be happier. The entire staff is caring, compassionate, and always engaged with the residents. The atmosphere that they have created is so welcoming, loving, and fun. You really do get a sense of family here. Alma, Chia, Jessica, Lisa, and all the caregivers are wonderful, and always have a smile on their face. The food is also good. The activities they provide are engaging for all the residents and the caregivers go out of their way to get the residents involved. The nursing staff to include Robyn and Julie are caring and involved in the daily care of the residents. They take the time to answer questions and concerns. We used to worry every day we couldn't be with Mom, now we have confidence knowing that she's well taken care of.

Jessica B is a joy to be around. She does a million things at once with a smile on her face. I can tell the residence really love and appreciate the time and care she gives to them. She's a gem of a person and Melody Living is lucky to have her!

I do not feel these reviews reflect an accurate picture of the team at Melody Living. Monica is a very caring and kind individual, as is the Director Chia. Monica holds the staff accountable and takes a lot of pride in making sure those who are admitted to Melody Living receive the best care. She goes out of her way day or night to communicate with families. It is apparent that Sandra Lynch is upset, and I am sure disappointed that her family member was declined admission. Not everyone is fit for assisted living or memory care. Instead of bad-mouthing staff members accept the information however difficult it may be. If a facility says no to admitting someone it is for a reason. Their family should be understanding and move on with their search. Harassing staff members because a family is told no to admission is uncalled for and won't change the outcome that Melody Living cannot meet your mother's needs. Sandra Lynch your family member doesn't even live there. You have no basis for your judgements. I encourage anyone to speak to those who have family that reside at Melody Living to get a firsthand review.

My father has settled in with the help of the wonderful staff at Melody Living. All the staff are professional and nice. Lisa at the front desk is so helpful and nice. The cleaning staff were so kind when my dad put a piece of cake in his shirt pocket, don't ask...the cleaning staff came into his room and helped us clean up the mess. The kitchen staff work so hard, how they provide such good food is beyond me. If you need an assistant living place I highly recommend Melody Living.

My mother resided at Melody Living between June 1 and July 22, 2021. During that time my mother experienced 1 hour + wait times on call button pushes, medication errors, missed meals, unappetizing meals, missed bathing, inadequate record-keeping, and high staff and management turnover. There was an ambulance ride to the hospital because she had been left unassisted too long in a chair, and an incident where she was left for over an hour undressed sitting on her bed due to the understaffing that was chronic at that time. The caregiver helping her change for bed left her int that state to help with another resident who had fallen. Staffing was down to only 1 or 2 people evenings, and there were many resident falls that kept the staff too busy to help everyone who required it. Assisted Living and Memory Care shared this sparse staff. The facility was in constant COVID 19 “outbreak” status, so we never saw much of the building. They tried to prevent us from visiting my mother in her room to help her. The ombudsman was able to tell us our rights and we got access via lawful compassion care visits. The management and staff turned over constantly from the time we signed a contract to our departure, and the company relied heavily on temp agency staff. We were lied to prior to the signing of our contract regarding the RN staffing at the facility, and the company did not honor our contract, which included a specific rental rate and a discount of 50% off rent for the first month. My mother was assessed at the lowest level of care with no records to justify this assessment given her physical disabilities. The RN who assessed her prior to move in had left Melody Living (in the space of about 3 weeks), and the RN who was doing her intake assessment on June 1 had already given her two-week notice. We requested records and begged for a bill. I went to the ombudsman for the facility with all the troubles we were having that were not being addressed, and she recommended that I file a complaint with Colorado State due to the seriousness of the issues. She had also spoken with my mother and other residents there with similar issues. I filed the complaint with Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and learned that we were not the only ones currently filing a complaint about Melody Living. An investigation ensued which verified all that I have stated above. I received the verification letter from the state after we had moved my mother out of the facility to one that is consistent and well-staffed. I paid Melody Living the amount we owed had my mother gotten the care agreed to in her contract and followed all the procedures required for terminating our agreement there. This payment was accompanied by a letter to the Executive Director, and both were accepted. Later in 2021, the facility started sending us bills for charges that were unexplained and un-itemized. I requested explanations for the charges, and each time I was either put off or not responded to. We are still living the nightmare of Melody Living with these unexplained bills, and I am having to seek legal representation at this time. We did not sign their arbitration only clause, so I run the risk of being sued for writing truthfully about this. Watch out for facilities that assess care levels below the needs of residents because they can then justify hiring too few staff to handle the work load. Also, ask about staffing levels and the number of in-house staff versus temp staff. Check to see that management has not turned over and that the actual RN staff is consistent. We found that the hourly caregiving staff universally want to help the residents, and at the right facility, they can do a very good job. Melody Living is the wrong facility and a drive to get residents to sign on is the focus, not the care. For my mother, it was a dangerous place.

Natalie took out time on a Friday at 4pm to make sure we had a full introduction to the community and facility. Two month in and mom is happy with each visit. Her attention to details and communication are the primanry reason that made this our community for mom of choice!

Nathalia is hands down the best tour guide/marketing rep I have ever met (Sebastian is a lose second over at Independent Living). I have plenty of experience shopping for assisted/independent living for parents. I learned the lingo and what to expect when I shopped for my dad… independent living first, then assisted living then funeral. I recently started shopping for my mother in law, P.F. Who lives with me and her daughter. PF lived alone on a mountain side until she totaled her car. She tried to move home months later, but contracted COVID immediately. Hospital, Rehab, back to my basement. She cannot live alone. She has worn her daughter out completely. I know the signs. Time for a place to park mom to everyone’s benefit. I had one hour. I know the lingo and basics. Nathalia gave me a complete info package including all pricing. Toured the Assisted Living common areas and rooms appropriate for my MIL. The place is gorgeous. The staff goes above and beyond. I questioned everyone I met. Long tenured staff. Happy to work here and it shows. Not cheap, but certainly in line with my predictions for this level of care. Penrose St. Francis Hospital across the street. Walmart across the other street. Woodmen Road/Powers Blvd intersection. Everything included you could reasonably expect. Cell phone/beauty salon extra. 24hr on site RN. Secure, safe, warm, homey, views of the Rockies and Pikes Peak. Parking! The list goes on. My search is over. When mom is ready, this is her new home. She toured with me a few days later and she loves it. Now she has a viable option when she and her daughter can’t take each other anymore. Not funny, just the emotional reality of taking care of your aging parent when nobody else around to help. Melody Living is here to help.

Melody Living has definitely been the best choice for our situation! My Grandpa is fitting right in and seems much happier and healthier here than he's been at other facilities in town. The staff have all been kind and super attentive! Nathalia made our move so easy, and I love that she genuinely cares about the residents and their families!! Everyone on staff has made an effort to get to know my Grandpa and me, and they even seem happy to answer my constant questions. The facility itself is bright and warm, kept very clean, and feels safe and secure while still being easy for residents and loved ones to get in and out. Chef Michael meets weekly with the residents to make sure they're happy with their food options, and the meals are always delicious! A nurse is in the building 24-7 in addition to loads of care staff. This is unique to this facility, as most assisted living facilities don't have a nurse in the building at all hours of the day. I'm so glad we happened upon such a great place and great people to help care for my Grandpa!!

I recently contracted with Melody Living for my elderly parent. I had the best experience working with Sales Coordinator, Nathalia. She toured the facility with me and explained how the process worked. She is super friendly and professional, and kept me advised throughout the application and leasing process. It's a beautiful facility and all the staff members I've met have been great. I wish I could live there! We ran into some complications just prior to move-in. Nathalia contacted me and advised that mom's room was painted, and the carpet was due to be replaced, but carpet layer was a no-show! He was completely unreachable and simply didn't show up, even though the job as scheduled well in-advance! It was imperative that I get my mom loaded in on that specific day as I had booked the truck and couldn't take additional time off. In addition, bad weather was coming in. I was up against a wall. Nathalia took personal responsibility and kicked in to high gear! She went way above and beyond, and used her own personal contacts (Jason), to get the old carpet ripped out, well after hours the night prior, and installed early the next day, just so I could move my mom's stuff in. She even arranged for the movers to stage the furniture on the same floor, until the carpet was done. After installation, she even cleaned the room with another staff member (Sharon), who also wanted to help get it done. Great Team! She even helped me move the furniture into the room and set it up!! I was overwhelmed by her dedication, determination, personal sacrifice (stress and long hours), just to help me take care of my mom!! I won't forget it! So far Melody Living has been fantastic, and I would refer anyone to Nathalia directly! She should get a huge raise...today!

My mother has been there since soon after opening. Fantastic facility. It is very clean and well maintained, as well as the residents apartments. Good communication with administrators and staff which is very important. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. If family has any questions or concerns they address them immediately. This is the 3rd facility we have had our mom in (due to lack of care issues previously) and I believe Melody is the best assisted living, memory support facility in the Colorado Springs area. To Melody Living: thank you for the highest quality of care! Excellent job! Our family appreciates yall so much!

My mother has been at Melody Living since they first opened and has been very happy. We have found the staff to be extremely skilled, helpful, and nice. The facility is new and very pretty. There are more and more events for the residents to participate in, which we all find important. Great job Melody, and keep up the good work.

My parents were some of the first people to move into Melody Living when it opened. From the very beginning the staff made them feel at home. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, inviting and very functional. My parents have commented so many times that they feel spoiled living there! Every request my parents have made has been listened to and implemented if at all possible. They have always felt they are part of the team that is coordinating their care - not just residents who are receiving care.The staff always makes us feel welcome as well, including our kids (12, 10 and 7). My kids are greeted warmly every time they visit Grandpa. There is a media room with video games and movies and a playground outside. Our kids want to move in!My mom passed away in July this year and the staff were fantastic. Several of the care partners even visited my mom in the hospital - on their days off! My Dads birthday was the week after Moms death and the staff rallied around him with a birthday cake, songs and lots of hugs. They continue to make sure Dad is doing well in this new season of life. My siblings and I are all at peace knowing our Dad is in a safe, healthy, happy place.

The bathrooms are off the bedrooms for the convenience of the residents who need their trips to the restroom from bed to be as short and quick as possible. As a cna, this makes assistance most convenient. The floor plan seems to match the thoughtful layouts I have seen at every other LTC facility.Disclaimer; I do not work here. I can however see the floor plan on the website and its logical and standard.

I was looking for senior assisted living facilities in Colorado Springs. The photos and layout look like an excellent place for my dad. After calling and speaking with one of their representatives who was very friendly and informative, I am going to go to their Information Center. The location is perfect and close to my work. The inside is absolutely gorgeous. I think it will be the perfect Colorado Springs Senior Living Area.

My parents are the first depositors to Melody Living and were treated with such respect and care! The ribbon cutting ceremony was amazing. My parents were delighted to cut the ribbon with city officials. The amenities and views, food, care partners and administrations couldnt be better. I attended the ribbon cutting last week and it is breathtaking. Not only are the exterior views from the facility one-of-a-kind, but the interior is a combination of a 5 star hotel and personal touches you would find at your own home. Theres a vast array of activities, incredible dining options, gorgeous spaces to enjoy with family & friends as well as specially trained & dedicated staff. Melody Living is a great addition to the Colorado Springs community and I cannot wait to see their impact on the community grow and expand for years to come! I would highly recommend Melody Living to anyone and everyone looking for assisted living or memory support for a loved one.
