Great place for your loved ones to be with like minded people. Staff is caring and kind and are always there for the residents needs. Beautiful landscape with pond and waterfall. Residents can grow their own vegetables!!!! Fishing is also an activity do to large pond next to facility. Laugh, live, and mingle at the Palms.

My sister's been there for 3 4 years and she loves it she walks around and can understand everybody and does everything for herself mainly and she's treated very well and a very clean place I come there unannounced as always clean and the people really like the residents I recommend it

As an employee, I advise you to read the state surveys for Indigo Palms and note the bankruptcy that hangs in the hall next to the lobby bathrooms. I must raise grave concerns regarding the suitability of Indigo as a care facility for your loved ones. Despite recent renovations aimed at creating an inviting atmosphere, my experiences reveal deeply troubling issues within the establishment. The facility's sanitation standards are shockingly inadequate, with rampant outbreaks of contagious conditions such as scabies due to chronic understaffing and neglect. Furthermore, the facility has been plagued by repeated COVID-19 outbreaks, underscoring a blatant disregard for effective infection control measures. Nutritional provisions are abysmally inadequate, resulting in widespread dehydration and alarming weight loss among residents, largely driven by draconian dietary restrictions imposed by management. Moreover, residents with dementia are routinely left to fend for themselves during meals, leading to food being left to spoil in their rooms for extended periods. Incidents compromising resident safety are routinely downplayed or ignored during communication with families, and the provision of genuine memory care services is practically nonexistent. Residents have been discovered left unattended on the floor during daylight hours due to negligent room lockouts, while bathing assistance is inconsistently provided, often only upon explicit request. Disturbing instances of resident-on-resident violence have been inadequately addressed, with insufficient intervention from staff exacerbating an already precarious situation. Furthermore, there have been egregious breaches of medication administration protocols, with uncertified personnel often tasked with dispensing medications, posing a grave risk to resident safety. Attempts to address these glaring issues with management have been met with hostility and intimidation tactics, creating a culture of fear among staff members. Additionally, concerns regarding COVID-19 safety protocols have been callously dismissed, with infected staff members permitted to continue working without appropriate precautions or guidance. In light of these alarming revelations, I implore you to reconsider entrusting the well-being of your loved ones to Indigo. It is abundantly clear that the management prioritizes profits over the fundamental rights and dignity of residents. For the sake of your loved ones, I strongly urge you to explore alternative care options.

It’s not a 5-star glamorous establishment. It is run by a staff that cares deeply about the health and welfare of the residents living there. The Administrator is a person that knows and greets each of the residents by name. He manages a Not-for-profit facility with many years of experience and focus on the needs of the residents, their families, and staff. He physically helps with tasks that improve the operation and environment of the facility. During Hurricane Ian he staid inside the building to insure the safety and quickest possible recovery from utility outages. The Director of Nursing, wears many hats. From managing resident care, to transporting them to Dr. visits, to assisting his staff personally, to make sure the proper medications are provided in a timely manner to residents. His communication skills are extremely positive and effective and show a great deal of care and understanding for all he come in contact with. He takes on many roles in addition to his Nursing job description. Marketing, to the state inspections, to food server, he is competent and dependable. The Activities coordinator has more than 20 years of experience in assisted living event planning and activities. She spends her days in direct contact with the mobile residents, providing hands on support to their needs in this area. The Cleanliness coordinator is unparalleled in his diligence to maintaining a sanitary environment. He is in constant movement, zipping around the building get things done with urgency. Yes, I’m bias. After 5 years of close observation to make sure my wife who has dementia, is well taken care of, I do recommend Indigo Palms for families that need help with the some times overwhelming care of a loved one that is not able to function independently.

I wrote a review for Indigo Palms two years ago at the beginning of my father's care there, and wanted to review again for an update. When my dad was first admitted, he was violent and confused. After 5 years of caring for him in our home, we made the very hard decision to place him in a care facility. He was kicked out of two and baker acted several times. We had a very difficult time finding him a place after that, and were very relieved when Indigo Palms accepted him. They were really there for us in a hard time, and worked with my father to get him stable and comfortable, in spite of the difficult nature of the situation. My dad has since declined greatly and hospice is involved. Now that he is stable and cannot be violent, we have moved him back home. The staff seemed genuinely sad to see him go. They are very caring and attentive, and our entire family is so thankful for them. I don't know how we would have gotten through this time without them. Special thanks to Darren and Kevin for everything.

After caring for my dad for 5 years, the time came to seek help. He had large behavioral issues, and was very unmanageable. After two failed entrances at other facilities, my husband and I were beginning to feel very hopeless. It was absolutely shocking that no one wanted to accept my father due to his behavioral problems (Isn't that the reason a care taker makes this extremely hard decision?!). Then we found Indigo Palms. These people have "saved our lives" (both my hubby and I, and my dad). He went from being a person who was very outspokenly unhappy, to someone who seems content. He no longer asks us to take him home, and he seems to be making friends with the other residents. The staff seems to really care, and Daddy is well taken care of. My husband and I are beginning to actually have a life again, and really we couldn't be more thankful. The fact that this place is affordable is just the cherry on top!

My father lives there for several years he had the best care ever the people the staff were so friendly kind helpful and willing to go out of their way to do anything to make my life and my brothers and sisters and families comfortable I would highly recommend it to anybody who's looking for assisted living or looking for somebody to care for their loved one because they do care I thank them very much

I toured Indigo Palms and met with the caregiver support group. I was so pleasantly greeted by a group of caring professionals. You could feel the warmth and concern of the staff and all the details they must attend to on a daily basis. I also spoke to several women whose husbands are long term residents. They have certainly endured much with their loved ones having dementia and alzheimers disease. They spoke very highly of the staff and are so very grateful Indigo Palms can accommodate their husbands who once were extremely successful business owners. They spoke at length of the lives they once shared with men before memory loss occurred. Indigo Palms has a loving, caring environment as well as organized activities. The security that needs to be in place for a facility like this was certainly exhibited. I would wholeheartedly recommend Indigo Palms for your loved ones.

First I want to say, it is very hard placing your loved one anyplace else but home. But there comes a time when you absolutely have to. Indigo Palms was exactly what we needed for the wonderful man that I was private caregiver for. The living area was so nice and spacious. Always clean and neat. The CNA staff were so good to us. Always friendly and helpful. The food was VERY good. Always tasty and hot. They care so much for everyone, they have a difficult job because they care for so many different issues with each resident , Alzeimer's ,Dementia, Mental disease, . They went the EXTRA mile. God Bless Them for the Care they have in their HEARTS. Thanks to ALL the STAFF.
