Nathan and the team jumped in and made things happen very quickly so that I could get him discharged from the hospital and into a nice, comfortable and quiet space. They went above and beyond. Our mom’s apartment is lovely and with all of her own things there it really feels like home. It is also a lively community with lots of options for activity and families are welcome to join in. We really feel that we have a team supporting our mom that includes our family and the Enclave family. We all have the same goal to ensure our Mom is safe, happy and has the best quality of life possible.

My brother and I recently moved our dad into this assisted living community, and the experience has been wonderful from start to finish. The staff made what could have been a stressful transition feel smooth and welcoming for our entire family. Everyone has been kind, compassionate, and attentive, taking the time to get to know my dad and help him feel comfortable in his new home. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, friendly atmosphere. Communication with staff has been excellent, and it's reassuring to know our dad is receiving the care and support he needs while still maintaining his independence. In particular, Nathan Schuster has been absolutely amazing! He has provided exceptional customer service and always made us and our questions feel important. He is responsive and went above and beyond to make our experience positive and as stress free as possible. Moving a loved one into assisted living is never an easy decision, but this team has exceeded our expectations. We are grateful for the care, professionalism, and genuine kindness they show every day. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for quality assisted living for a family member.

I absolutely recommend Enclave of Scarborough if you are looking for a wonderful facility for your loved one. My sister and I began our journey of placement for our dad about six months ago, and out of the dozen places we visited, Enclave is by far the best one we saw. The staff and administration are just terrific, responsive and genuinely caring people. Nathan, in particular, has been just amazing through the entire experience for us. He took time to get to know my sister and I and finding out about our father during our first meeting. He has always been responsive to emails, texts and phone calls to make the transition smooth and answer all of our questions as they arised. Our dad moved in about 3 weeks ago and is really enjoying himself. He has always considered himself an introvert, and even hermit, but he is now socializing during meals, and making new friends. The entire place is just great and almost has the feel of an upscale hotel, with terrific food as our dad declares. Great activities, live music, nice walking path around the building, library wing, gaming wing, etc. I could go on and on. My sister and I are at great comfort knowing that our dad is there now with his new friends and people who are taking great care of him. Again, could not recommend Enclave of Scarborough more.

He certainly had joyful times while living there and felt connected to the people, both residents and staff, and to the flow of life at The Enclave. Lastly, The Enclave encourages families of residents to be part of life, on a daily basis and at the many events. My almost 90 year old mother in law has been living in Assisted Living at the Enclave for 3 weeks. It was a challenging adjustment for her moving from an independent living facility an hour from where her son and I live here in Scarborough. Although her studio is considerably smaller, she did not require so much space, and the new living situation addresses her additional support needs. The staff has been wonderful helping her acclimate and promt to respond to our inquiries. Nathan deserves high marks in helping the family with multiple tours and facilitating the studio preparations including fresh coats of paint. The maintenance guys were prompt getting her photos and precious paintings mounted. The space is cozy and inviting. The directors met with me to go over her Care Plan, and they explained the process while receiving my feedback. The support staff are friendly and patient. Concierge are always welcoming and helpful. New furniture was recently brought in as part of a decor update, and when residents complained the new theater chairs were uncomfortable, leadership wasted no time addressing the issue with more appropriate seating. I was happy to see they cared! My mother in law will continue to adjust, but I feel confident she is in a living situation that will provide a safer and rewarding environment. The location is ideal. Close to many beaches and parks, the facility can offer opportunities for outside excursions once warm weather returns.

I want to give a huge shout out to the team at the Enclave for accommodating my very unique request. My brass quintet, Harbor Brass Quintet (one of the small group ensembles of the Maine POPs Concert Band), needed a practice location and it was suggested I contact The Enclave. The Enclave team enthusiastically agreed to let us rehearse for which I offered to play a formal concert for the residents. We have now rehearsed in the front lobby at least 3 separate times. At each session we have at least 10 residents listening, singing or clapping to our music. It has been such a joy to see the residents interact with us (and not mind our occasional "redo"). It brings special meaning to the Maine POPs mission statement - "Building Community Through Music". Thank you Enclave for hosting Harbor Brass!

My husband & I toured a variety of assisted living facilities for my 90 year old mother. The Enclave was, by far, #1 on our list. Initially, mom wasn't ready to make a move. After passing on a couple of apartments, she agreed to give it a try. It has only been a week since she moved in. We are both ecstatic as to how the 1st week has gone! The staff is top notch; very professional, friendly, caring & welcoming. It was important to us to find a place that was not too overwhelming yet offered a variety of services & activities that mom may need to enrich her life. The Enclave exceeds our expectations. From start to finish the staff at the enclave have been incredible. We started our journey with Nathan who explained the process and gave us a very thorough tour. From the moment my sister toured the visually beautiful Enclave of Scarborough with Nathan, the charismatic and compassionate marketing director, she knew this was the place for our mom. I felt the same welcoming feeling of community when I soon visited. Beyond the obvious visual perks such as gorgeous common areas, outdoor spaces, and updated rooms, it truly makes a huge difference when staff regard each other as well as the residents so kindly by name, as it reflects the positive culture and atmosphere of the facility. Thankfully, this is also what our mom has felt and consistently remarked about throughout her entire process, from touring, visiting the dining room for a trial meal, accepting a room offer, moving in over the course of a few weeks, connecting with the staff, and ramping up her participation in the wonderfully creative and stimulating activities. Nathan is very communicative, knowledgeable, and collaborative with other staff in preparing us for move-in. A direct quote from Mom on her third day...."it feels like family." We appreciate that mom is safe, nourished, mentally and socially stimulated, and is already having fun as well. We look forward to enjoying the change of seasons in this vibrant community.

After a 6-month search, my mom and her fianc© recently moved into The Enclave of Scarborough, and we couldn’t be more relieved and happy with the decision.** Choosing a senior living facility is never easy”there’s a lot of emotion and uncertainty involved”but the kind and knowledgeable staff at The Enclave made the entire process surprisingly smooth. The community offers a wide variety of activities that help break up the day and keep residents engaged. Some of the highlights include trips to museums, orchards, restaurants, and even the ocean”wonderful opportunities for fun and enrichment. Meals are provided three times a day. There's always a daily special, but residents can also choose from options like sandwiches and pasta, which helps keep things flexible. We've also enjoyed joining them for meals and excursions”it's great that family and guests are welcome to participate. What stands out the most is how much the staff genuinely cares about the residents. Any concerns we've had have been addressed in a reasonable time frame, and everyone we’ve interacted with has been friendly, respectful, and professional. Overall, we feel confident that they’re in good hands at The Enclave, and that peace of mind is truly invaluable

The decision for your loved one especially a parent, to go into assisted living is one of the biggest transitions for a family. Since the moment we contacted The Enclave, Nathan, the marketing and sales director, is really a kind and resourceful person to help navigate the new and maybe daunting chapter. Nathan had great advice and guidance as we were just learning the process. Whether we would choose The Enclave or not, we appreciated that he gave much support by reaching out to us often. We met Jessica, the Wellness director, who understood what my mom’s individual needs would be. She is caring and reassuring as well. I felt very good about our decision when we finally knew it was time to move my mom. Nathan helped support and make the initial process easy. We moved my mom into her new home at The Enclave and have been welcomed and treated with much care. We live out of state and stayed close by while my mom adjusted to her new environment. We had a very friendly greeting by Randi the entertainment director with an ambassador resident who took my mom under her wing to help her not feel alone in her transition. What a great idea. This is more than a facility or institution with events and activities in a nurturing environment. We shared some meals with my mom and were always welcomed with a nice staff and residents. There is a wide range of meal and food choices. They also have events where they go out to lunch for a nice social outing. Whatever concerns we had during this transition, from the CEO Samantha, Nathan the sales director, Kimberly the nursing director, Jessica the wellness director, Randi the entertainment director, the other nursing staff and maintenance person Dawson, were on top of it to make the transition better with some humor on the way. The concierge, Terri, is also a caring professional and you feel you can talk to her and she will connect you to the right person. When we left to go home, I knew my mom would be ok and safe. She is in good hands with a very caring staff. To add, my mom's friend Jennifer, who visited my mom thought maybe one day she would consider The Enclave.

The Enclave of Scarborough is a wonderful place! Mum transitioned to the Enclave after multiple hospital stays and falls at home. The safest option for her was to find the perfect fit , and we certainly did! She’s geographically close to all of her children and she’s in very capable hands, the staff being attentive, caring, and knowledgeable. The activities and the staff coordinators are amazing, as well as available for transportation Love Lisa. She takes a special interest in everyone shes transporting! In fact , will give a shout out to Alyssa as well, she approaches every activity with enthusiasm and care the residents love the staff members!!! The dining room represents a social gathering at every meal and their weekly Happy Hour with live entertainment is well attended and great fun for all! In closing, we would recommend the Enclave community with 5 stars! The administrative staff encourages open communication with our family and we feel Mum is well supported and enjoying her best life in her 87 th year! She feels independent and her apartment reflects her personality and family ties! One of her sisters is now a resident too so the theme of family and support and continues!

My mother has been a resident at The Enclave since September 2023. She initially resided in assisted living and transitioned to memory care (Lilac Trace) about a year later. From the moment you walk in, you can feel that The Enclave is a special place with a strong sense of community. The size of The Enclave is just right”not too large”which allows the staff to truly get to know each resident. In Lilac Trace, they strive to have consistent care associates, which helps ensure personalized and attentive care. The staff do a wonderful job engaging the residents, often planning activities based on their individual interests. The director of Lilac Trace has created a safe, warm, engaging, and joyful environment. I genuinely consider the staff and residents part of our extended family. Although moving my mother to an assisted living facility was a difficult decision, The Enclave was the best choice we could have made. I’m deeply grateful for the entire community and the care she receives.

Having successfully reached our late 80's, my wife and I decided it was time to move to an assisted living facility. We really didn't want to leave our years of independent living, as the transition represented a huge change, but it was time. The residents at The Enclave welcomed us immediately. The staff made us feel like we were joining a big family. The rooms are very comfortable. The Housekeeping staff ensures the rooms are spotless and that laundry is done weekly. The food menu is diverse, and meals are appetizing. The Activity staff get kudos for their tireless effort in providing opportunities for the residents to keep busy with movies, lectures, Bingo, outside excursions, baking and crafts. The Medical staff are professional and caring. Moving to The Enclave was one of the best decisions we ever made.

My family and I had started looking at dozens of assisted living locations in this area of Maine for our elderly mom, knowing "at some point" she would likely need to move out of her small house in Buxton. My sister & niece met Nathan at the Enclave and had a tour of the facility. They informed me "this is the place!" We felt we were now prepared - we had all the information and a location, in case we needed it. Unfortunately, my mom fell and broke her hip a couple weeks later, at the start of May 2024. On my trip to Maine for this event, Nathan met with me and my sister after normal hours so I could have a tour of the facility (I live in Kentucky). He had sent me a personal video of the Enclave prior to my tour, so I would at least know the lay out of the facility. My first thought when I walked into the Enclave, "this is home." The Enclave immediately gave me the best vibe - people were walking around, chatting, laughing, etc., and we had a great tour. Three-weeks later, we were able to move mom into a furnished Studio, as she continued with some physical & occupational therapies. And then 10-days later, she moved into her own 1-bedroom apartment (newly refinished). Honestly, Nathan and the Enclave staff have made things go more smoothly than I could ever imagine “ we all have the small bumps along the way, but all things considered, mom's transition from her own house to assisted living has gone exceptionally well. The efforts of the Enclave's staff has not gone unnoticed! My wife and I, on a recent visit last week, were treated wonderfully by everyone we met. It allowed us both to feel secure and relieved knowing mom was going to be in the best hands possible during her time of continued recovery - and possibly for the rest of her years.

Betsy and I began considering assisted living in July of 2023. Beyond researching online we scheduled a tour at three different facilities over the next three months. The first place was v quite "homey" feeling but very small and had limited amenities. The second place was just the opposite, much too large and impersonal. But when we visited The Enclave of Scarborough it was a "BINGO". Everything felt right. The staff was very friendly, they had a full list of amenities, the building had a y omfortable feeling and the apartments were well laid out. And, on top of that we could bring our small dog with us. She actually made friends instantly with many of the people sitting around in the large living room. So we made a deposit. We got a phone call in mid-December that there was an opening comeing up ans we jumped at signing the papers and proceeded to move in in early 2024. We are so happy that we did.

My mom chose The Enclave after touring several communities- she liked the close knit, homey feel. All of our family members received great help and support from the staff in making the transition, and everyone has been helpful and supportive to Mom since she moved in. She has a one bedroom apartment and was able to bring her cat and her own furnishings; that's made it much easier for her to make the move. Lots of activities are offered, the food is good, the staff and community members are friendly and helpful, and we are glad mom has 24/7 support if she needs it. Highly recommend!

The Enclave has been a great place for our mom. The activities and communication are great and it is very clean, but it is the people who work there that stand out. They respond to our Mom's requests and concerns and when a friend of my Mom's passed away they made a point to invite her to participate in activities that she might not have otherwise. It is a great place.

My mom has been at the Enclave since 2019. We could not have found a better place for her. The staff is so kind and attentive and Cailtin, the Executive Director, is directly involved with all of the residents. The food is great. My mom is always raving about how much she loves the meals. Lots of activities and the facility is so clean and well cared for with beautiful plants, decor and outdoor spaces. Shout out to Rachel, Karen, Randy, Deb, Becky and all of the great staff. My parents moved in the week of the lock down. They quickly made friends with the staff as they were their only contact. My son and I went as often as we could for window visits with a telephone in the winter and when it was nice they provided us with an outdoor seating area with chairs a safe distance apart. Everyone who works there is family and my parents became part of their family. They even let me move in when my mom's health declined. Now that she has passed my dad and I are being looked after. He is never alone and I am grateful for that.

We moved my Mom from her home almost 3 years ago. The team at Enclave was incredibly well organized, professional and empathetic. Still to this day, my sister and I comment how fortunate we are to have found Enclave. The staff is caring and patient, and the facility is beautiful - well taken care of with plenty of places to get outside. The food is great and I can't wait to return to the days when I can periodically enjoy lunch with my mom in the dining room. Amber and Randi have a constant list of fun, engaging activities - I don't know how they do it! And my mom - she is well taken care of and happy - happier than she was in her own home! We can not say enough about the facility, the staff and the Executive Director, Caitlin. During Covid we all feared the worst for the elder population. What an amazing sacrifice the team at Enclave made to insure our loved ones were safe. Finding a new home for my mom was one of the most difficult things my sister and I have ever had to do - and they made it easy. Thank you Enclave!!!!

My 90 year old Mother has been a resident at the Enclave for some 2 years. The transition to a senior living facility for a parent or loved one can be monumental for many, particularly the immediate family. However, the leadership and staff of the Enclave made this process fairly simple. The environment is nurturing, fun and intuitive. (Even during a pandemic). The staff is so upbeat and caring. I sleep well at night knowing that Mom is in a safe, secure and supportive home. Besides that - Mom thinks Amber is the best! Many thanks.

Our mother's dementia reached a level where in-home care was no longer feasible. We needed to make a change and it needed to be done quickly. We had asked for recommendations from our in-home care agency and The Enclave of Scarborough came highly recommended. We visited the community, met with the staff, enjoyed a family meal there before making the decision to make this mom's new home. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming during the move-in and subsequent transitional phase. Our family has not regretted making this decision at all. Mom has made new friends, there is always an activity that she is taking part in, and our concerns about her well-being and safety are gone. The community has been very communicative with our family throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, finding ways for us to still be in contact with mom, even if we couldn't physically be there. They did an excellent job keeping our mother safe while still enabling mom & the other residents to live a "normal" life as best as they could. The Enclave of Scarborough has been a blessing for our family. We could not ask for a better place for our mother to call home.

My mom has been at The Enclave for over two years. The communication and staff are great. Everyone works together and they plan daily activities for our family members. The guidelines that were in effect for Covid was very reassuring that my mom was safe. They had all of the community vaccinated right there. The dining room has exceptional meals and I cant wait to be able to have lunch again with my mom on Fridays. I would recommend The Enclave . My mom has dementia and I know that she is safe.
