The Enclave has cheerful positive energy, and the staff is the key to this good atmosphere. My father receives excellent medical attention from the Enclave staff. And it's wonderful to see his social involvement, The Enclave made the transition as easy as possible and answered our questions along the way and stayed in touch during the transition. My dad gives the food a strong thumbs up!

My family and I had started looking at dozens of assisted living locations in this area of Maine for our elderly mom, knowing "at some point" she would likely need to move out of her small house in Buxton. My sister & niece met Nathan at the Enclave and had a tour of the facility. They informed me "this is the place!" We felt we were now prepared - we had all the information and a location, in case we needed it. Unfortunately, my mom fell and broke her hip a couple weeks later, at the start of May 2024. On my trip to Maine for this event, Nathan met with me and my sister after normal hours so I could have a tour of the facility (I live in Kentucky). He had sent me a personal video of the Enclave prior to my tour, so I would at least know the lay out of the facility. My first thought when I walked into the Enclave, "this is home." The Enclave immediately gave me the best vibe - people were walking around, chatting, laughing, etc., and we had a great tour. Three-weeks later, we were able to move mom into a furnished Studio, as she continued with some physical & occupational therapies. And then 10-days later, she moved into her own 1-bedroom apartment (newly refinished). Honestly, Nathan and the Enclave staff have made things go more smoothly than I could ever imagine – we all have the small bumps along the way, but all things considered, mom's transition from her own house to assisted living has gone exceptionally well. The efforts of the Enclave's staff has not gone unnoticed! My wife and I, on a recent visit last week, were treated wonderfully by everyone we met. It allowed us both to feel secure and relieved knowing mom was going to be in the best hands possible during her time of continued recovery - and possibly for the rest of her years.

Betsy and I began considering assisted living in July of 2023. Beyond researching online we scheduled a tour at three different facilities over the next three months. The first place was v quite "homey" feeling but very small and had limited amenities. The second place was just the opposite, much too large and impersonal. But when we visited The Enclave of Scarborough it was a "BINGO". Everything felt right. The staff was very friendly, they had a full list of amenities, the building had a y omfortable feeling and the apartments were well laid out. And, on top of that we could bring our small dog with us. She actually made friends instantly with many of the people sitting around in the large living room. So we made a deposit. We got a phone call in mid-December that there was an opening comeing up ans we jumped at signing the papers and proceeded to move in in early 2024. We are so happy that we did.

I have had the privilege to see firsthand how hard the entire team at The Enclave works to help make their residents day the best it could possibly be. The activities provided always have great variety, the dinning selections are delicious and the care staff go above and beyond. It's clear The Enclave is has found success by focusing on the resident's and family experience and exceeding those expectations. It's a pleasure to call The Enclave my home away from home.

The Enclave is a friendly, spacious, clean and comfortable place to live. They serve delicious restaurant style meals in a beautiful dining room. The healthcare team members provide assistance as needed with individualized care plans. Many activities are offered every day including music entertainment 2 times per week. The staff is courteous and caring toward residents and family members. The directors are approachable and compassionate. This is a well run place!

My mom chose The Enclave after touring several communities- she liked the close knit, homey feel. All of our family members received great help and support from the staff in making the transition, and everyone has been helpful and supportive to Mom since she moved in. She has a one bedroom apartment and was able to bring her cat and her own furnishings; that's made it much easier for her to make the move. Lots of activities are offered, the food is good, the staff and community members are friendly and helpful, and we are glad mom has 24/7 support if she needs it. Highly recommend!

The staff at the Enclave of Scarborough welcomed mom into its community with warmth and kindness from the moment she arrived. She already feels at home and raves about what nice people work there and how well they take care of her. And we hear from her that "the food is very good" and "there is a lot going on here" !! The Enclave has been a great place for our mom. The activities and communication are great and it is very clean, but it is the people who work there that stand out. They respond to our Mom's requests and concerns and when a friend of my Mom's passed away they made a point to invite her to participate in activities that she might not have otherwise. My mom has been at the Enclave since 2019. We could not have found a better place for her. The staff is so kind and attentive and Cailtin, the Executive Director, is directly involved with all of the residents. The food is great. My mom is always raving about how much she loves the meals. Lots of activities and the facility is so clean and well cared for with beautiful plants, decor and outdoor spaces. Shout out to Rachel, Karen, Randy, Deb, Becky and all of the great staff. My parents moved in the week of the lock down. They quickly made friends with the staff as they were their only contact. My son and I went as often as we could for window visits with a telephone in the winter and when it was nice they provided us with an outdoor seating area with chairs a safe distance apart. Everyone who works there is family and my parents became part of their family. They even let me move in when my mom's health declined. Now that she has passed my dad and I are being looked after. He is never alone and I am grateful for that.

The entire staff at the Enclave provides my mother with the very best care. Every department employs outstanding professionals in their field. The nursing, custodial, food service, and administrative staffs are caring, and attentive and go well beyond their job descriptions on a daily basis. My mom has been living at the Enclave for the past two years. She describes it as a lovely hotel with the nicest accommodations, meaning that the food is great, all of the living ares are clean, well appointed and well maintained. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and easy to access. She has developed lovely friendships with both the staff and other residents. She is treated with love, kindness and dignity every day. The entire nursing staff is incredibly attentive, always keeping me well apprised of my mom's physical and emotional health. Daily activities, planned by Amber and Randi, both on campus and on the road, are thoughtfully organized with amazing care and creativity. Even during COVID everyone at the Enclave collaborated to accommodate creative "visits" that were meaningful and heartfelt. One of the most difficult decIsions is choosing an assisted living facility for a loved one. I feel very fortunate to have found the Enclave for my mother who continues to thrive well into her eighties.

In December 2018, I approached Enclave of Scarborough (then Atria of Scarborough) if they would be open to trying a volunteer program that I had created that would bridge Scarborough senior residents with local Scarborough children. I could not have been luckier to have Amber Wilson, Director of Lifestyles, answer my call. She and I met, and since that first discussion, her enthusiasm for Enclave and its residents has been unmatched. Over the past two years, I have brought numerous groups of children to Enclave via Games with Great Grands and via a Girl Scout Troop I lead. Amber Wilson has always been a gracious host to all of us volunteering at Enclave, but more importantly she displays a love for the residents that reside there. She invites residents to our activities, gathers the residents to include them in the festivities and pours her heart and soul into the daily programming and activities that Enclave offers to its residents. The variety of outings and the number of activities that she and her team (yay Randi Gonneville!!) coordinate is staggering!!! Its a comfortable home for those seniors that want to relax and be cared for, and its an uplifting, perfect place for seniors that want to lead an active lifestyle! Residents cant possibly get bored! Ive said on more than one occasion to friends, my husband, and my 9 and 11 year old kids.... I wouldnt mind moving into Enclave any day of the week!!! Gorgeous facility, caring staff, and non-stop excitement!

I became an employee there about a month ago. Caitlin, the Executive Director wasted no time making me feel so welcome! ☺The staff were very supportive and they even provided me a meal while I was training. The building itself is gorgeous and the residents are delightful! I hope when COVID makes its much needed exit, I can come back! Thank you all for all youve done for me! Happy Holidays!!

My Dad has been a resident of The Enclave for a few weeks now. I have been very pleased with the level of care and attention he recieves from staff..everyone attends to him as if he is a member of their own family. I have reached out a few times with medical concerns and received near immediate responses from staff. This is highly reassuring that he is in the right facility. How he came to be there is provident. Dad has dementia and was making risky and unsafe choices. I was having no luck finding a center for him that had no cases of Covid and, or had an available bed. The day following a particularly dangerous episode, Era Gibson called, offering a bed for my Dad. My husband and I are deeply grateful for the quality of care and attention Dad receives at The Enclave.

The virtual tour went quite well. It lasted 1.5 hours while FaceTiming with Era Gingras. She showed my wife and I around the Enclave. We had a chance to talk with several of the staff as well as several of the residents during the virtual tour. Everyone was happy and very upbeat. The atmosphere there seems very positive. This is definitely an assisted living home that is on the top of our list prior to making a final decision; as we have several more homes to look at first.

Dad has been living at Enclave since March of 2019. My sister, who is a nurse, has an extensive background in geriatrics. We went to all of the facilities in the area and Enclave stood out from the moment we walked in the door. The staff is outstanding, cleanliness and care are also. We moved my parents into Atria Scarborough last fall. Dad is 94 and Mom is 88. They were struggling and failing in their home of more than 70 years. Since moving to Atria they have thrived and are feeling and looking better than they have in a decade. A great big thank you to ALL who care for them.
