Beautiful facility; had a tour with Patty Strickland who was very thorough in explaining what HC had to offer for my dad. Had the pleasure to work with Maureen Cunningham who guided me through the myriad of paperwork to get admitted in a very short period of time. Have had great feedback in getting my dad set up and comfortable in his new surroundings. Staff appears to show great care for all the residents there. Optimistic this will be a great fit for dad.

I just moved my mother into this facility a couple of weeks ago. The staff has been more than helpful and caring during this difficult transition. They let me use furniture while I waited on items to come in for delivery, they are actively engaged with my mother and they try to ensure she is acclimating and socializing as much as possible. They had a welcome dinner for her with my family which was such an incredible gesture. They are communitive, caring, and compassionate. They are always willing to hear any concerns I have and discuss the best possible options for mom. They have made this transition very smooth for me and my family. It wasn't an easy choice to move my mother there, but the staff has convinced me that this was the right call and the right choice for my mother. Each staff member that I have met have gone out of the way to accommodate or address any questions or concerns immediately, and that goes for the entire staff, from the kitchen, to maintenance, to the nursing staff, and management. It's comforting to know that the entire staff is on the same page ensuring that my mom and other residents are treated with respect, and that they truly all put the care in elder care. I can sleep peacefully knowing that she is taken care of the way that I want her to be treated. It has made all the difference from going from her primary caretaker, back to being her son. I can finally enjoy more moments and time with her because the staff is truly taking exceptional care of my mother.

I dropped by HC last week and I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked into the facility. I met with Maureen Cunningham who is the director. We sat and talked for a while and then she took me on a tour of the facility. Maureen puts her heart and soul into her work and it shows!!! This place was lovely with an upbeat atmosphere. The residents were busy with activities while live music was playing in one of the great rooms. It was definitely a pleasant experience. My sincere thanks to Maureen, Carrie and Angela.

My mom lives at The Hearth at Tuxis Pond for several years now. I spent many hours at The Hearth interacting with the staff. My mother and I loves the staff here and they love us right back. The facility is great, she is 92 years old, has hearing aids that requires batteries, and profound dementia. She has the BEST CARE by everyone here. This is why she is happy and healthy. I visit her 2 times or more a week and I see/hear everything the staff cares for her. THANK YOU

My mom has been at the Hearth since March, 2020. She moved in just as the state began to close due to COVID 19. Although the director allowed me to help my mom move in I have been unable to visit her since. Like so many other family members this has been very difficult especially since Ive never been able to actually see for myself how she has been doing. Having said that, I have been very happy with my mothers experience so far. She raves about the staff and has never seemed unhappy. Many of the staff have been extremely responsive to my questions and many have gone above and beyond including a staff member named Rob who has done everything from moving my moms china chest and arranging her china, to waiting tables at a special outside dinner, to impersonating Elvas Presley and Frank Sinatra at music events. I also want to thank Beth Buzzannco, a Hearth nurse, who has been tremendously kind and helpful. I am grateful that the staff has kept my mother safe from the virus while doing their best to offer activities and opportunities for family members to visit outside. My only concern is that there has been a turnover of directors since March. I am anxiously waiting for when we have the virus under control and my mom can enjoy everything the Hearth has to offer. Unitl then, I would recommend the Hearth as a good assistive living facility to consider.

I believe The Hearth to be a lovely assisted living facility. Residents are cared for, and staff Is very kind and considerate. I feel that the new management should work on their communication. Many, many phone calls and voice mails from family members not returned. No communication at all. In these days of Covid 19, families need to be able to be updated and reassured that their loved ones are ok.

My mom lived at The Hearth at Tuxis Pond for several years until her recent passing. I spent many hours at The Hearth interacting with the staff. My mother and I loved the staff here and they loved us right back. The facility is great, clean, caring. I can not say enough about how well my mom and I were treated by all at The Hearth. I would recommend The Hearth at Tuxis Pond without reservation. I would like to publicly say thank you to everyone at The Hearth for making my moms last years wonderful.

I have worked at other companies and this community has a true gift of caring. You always find bad reviews (Usually an unhappy EX-employee) but what I would recommend you do, is to just show up no appointment...and I know what you will see. You will most likely see residents, and employees caring for each other. It is a true community and the care goes in both directions. The reason I am here is that my Grandmother had the best 13 years of her life here at the Hearth and in our memory unit. So dont take my or anyone elses word for it, judge for yourself. Come for a visit any day, and any time. We will gladly show you around.

My mother spent 4+ years at the Hearth and I have nothing but good things to say about how professional, friendly, caring and responsive they were. She actually improved, mentally, after moving in. Absolutely would recommend this facility.

I work at the Hearth of Tuxis Pond and I have to say I love it there. I really enjoy the atmosphere. The residents are sweet and always brighten my day. I love seeing how the Hearth has so many different activities for our residents. Its a little something for everyone. I really enjoy working with my co workers and my directors, as everyone is always smiling and up beat. Definitely a caring environment. I would recommend the Hearth to anyone. Im a clinician in the area and have been going to the Hearth, almost everyday, for the past 7 years. In those 7 years, I have always been impressed with the professionalism in staff and the loving and caring way they treat their residents. I have seen very little turnover in staff and can only attribute that to the fact that the staff loves their jobs. The commitment of the staff, both clinically and administratively, is above and beyond any that I have witnessed in other communities. I have recommended several friends to this community and am still being thanked by their loved ones.

Felix R. and myself go to the Hearth twice a year to provide musical entertainment to the residents. We really enjoy doing this and the reaction of the residents is amazing. Music opens some doors and many of the folks have an immediate connection and start smiling, singing, tapping their feet and some dancing away. We get as much as fun out of it as the folks in the audience. All the staff that attends these events encourage the residents to enjoy themselves and it is very heart warming to be a part of this. Thanks to the Hearth of Madison and all the residents and staff that make it memorable for us !
