The clean lawn and building appearance caught my attention. The cozy home-like environment flows through the building. The Appearance is what drew me in,but the teamwork and team planning kept me. My input matters with the plan of care for the residents. The management team ensures that I have all of the tools and supplies to take care of my residents.The company offers growth opportunities to current staff members.Im so appreciative to be apart of Willow Lake Place team.

Im the Community Relations Manager at Willow Lake Place and have been here just over 3 months. While Ive enjoyed professional success for over two decades in other industries I needed more service and giving in my life and an opportunity at Willow Lake Place found me at just the right time. Serving the families and residents in our community has made a profound impact on my life in the short period of time Ive been here and allowed me to use the skills Ive earned over my career in new and amazing ways. The entire leadership team at Willow Lake Place is new to this community and each and every individual brings such an amazing set of not just professional skills to the team, but a wonderful collaboration of drive for success and genuine desire to make our community an amazing place for our residents to live and thriveI have seen bad reviews and listened to frustrations from the past at this community but I cant speak to what did or didnt drive those experiences. What I can speak to is what I see every day when I come to work at Willow Lake Place I collaborate with our interim Executive Director (ED) as she works so very hard to keep a keen eye on where improvements can be made. She listens to all concerns, managing expeditiously if action needs to be taken and truly drives for excellence, ensuring if, when she hands over the reins to a new ED, that transition flows seamlessly I smile watching our Life Enrichment Coordinator (LEC, Activities), hugging and laughing with our amazing residents as she engages with them in activities shes worked hard to ensure the success of Its thrilling every time I get to watch Charles our Memory Care LEC have success getting residents to rock out with him as he gets his groove on to the music they have listened to and loved throughout their livesIts a daily challenge to tie down Renita, our Care Service Manager (CSM, Director of Nursing) so I can get her to assist me with new potential residents because shes so busy ensuring the level of care for our current residents is paramount. Its inspiring to witness her knowledge in nursing and how she commands excellence for those caring for and supporting our residents needs.Ive gained weight already because Brandy, our Director of Dining Services (Chef, Dietary) has a love of baking and making delicious meals she has her team prepare extra of so the staff can taste and provide feedback on, to ensure our residents are being fed well and enjoy the meals she takes ownership of Ive been humbled watching our nurses lovingly monitor, comfort and calm a beloved resident having a health crisis, acting with amazing precision in engaging protocol to expedite receipt of care and ensure the best possible outcome for someone who is not just a resident, but a friend that we have watched thrive, care about and have the pleasure to serve.These are the things I can attest to seeing and experiencing every day I am blessed to come to work at Willow Lake Place. I see from my team members and personally behave in a manner that I have desired and want for my own elderly family members. This is what I can share about what happens within this beautiful brick home that houses, assists and serves the most amazing people I get to laugh with, dance with, listen to, cry for and serve on a daily basis. I believe new owners have taken over this place.....same caring staff but after sitting with my relative on sunday for 2.5 hrs in the dining room on the Memory Care 3rd floor I noticed several deficiencies in care this time.......6 to 8 residents in and out and not one time was anything offered to drink or snacked......this has been done before mid afternoon during our frequent visits.....0 for them to do but be in seemingly drugged stupors till next mealtime......my resident has always been an avid coloring book person...never offered to her unless we get it.....these folks need something to fiddle with their hands and stimulate their minds......0 on tables to do.....just sit and wait and wait and wait....so disappointed lately...

My 88 year old mom has been a resident for almost three years. In the last 6 months the facilities have been renovated and the atmosphere is very bright and welcoming. The staff is responsive and kind. My mom has advanced dementia and I couldnt ask for her to receive better care. I couldnt take as good of care of her as the staff does at Willow Lake Place. It is an excellent facility!

Willow Lake has a great ED in Charlotte an a great new DON in Christina, the changes an consist team have shown many improvements. Back in November my mother lived at another facility an the power went out for 3 days, the staff at Willow Lake heard about the residents stranded for 30 hours without power, water an a decent meal, they came to my mothers rescue. All of the sudden their bus pulls up to the front door an they started loading residents and moving them to safety at Willow Lake. I was ever so greatful that my mom had a safe place to go with a caring team. The team of Willow Lake walked the floors to see who needed help down the stairs. The family members of the team at Willow Lake showed up an helped to move residents recliners over to their building. It was amazing to see how the families of employees showed up to help in an Emergency. The team went to the store late at night to purchase blankets, TVs, supplies for ADLs for the residents who were moved to safety. It was simply amazing to see the Love that the employees showed my Mom and me as I was getting her settled. I ended up moving my mother in permanently as the there was many issues with her current AL. My mother has settled in nicely an after a few bumps to get my mothers needs met she is very happy. There is a reason that many residents chose to move permanently because there is a true family atmosphere as I am always welcome.

I am not sure why you say incompetent director? Great place! Staff and director both are excellent and respond to questions and concerns. I press the call button and staff is there within 3 to 5 minutes. Many unique activities like flower arranging and many entertainers. A great facility for aging in place!

This is a wonderful place to work. The staff is amazing. They are thiughtful and caring. They really love their residents. The residents here are super nice and i think of them as family. There is place else that I would rather work. The Executive Director is awesome to work for and the Nursing Director is fantastic. The management and sales team really knows their stuff. Its nice to actually work for a place that cares for their residents and employees.

My father resided there for 3 1, 2 years until he passed away. The staff showed such kindness, compassion and professionalism during his time there. I would highly recommend Willow Lake to families who are looking for an assisted living facility. This place and staff are top notch!

I have visited Willow Lake on several occasions. The staff is incredibly friendly and the building is lovely and well-maintained. There is a warmth about the place that makes it very inviting. The residents seem to love their home!
