I'd like to preface the 3 stars with the hopes that I can edit this review later with 5 stars because this facility has so much potential. Unfortunately it has fallen short of our expectations in terms of consistency with care and cleanliness. There have been umpteen challenges with a shortage of staffing and properly administering meds for the residents (my elderly mom included) since at least 2022. Potted meat sandwiches and chips passed as "dinner" is not ok for the $4k or more per month these folks' insurance pay or how we paid out of pocket for months. You have to beg for cleaning & repair of cottages, the phone lines down for 5+ months and the emergency pulls are disabled/unworking. With new management (again) we can only hope for the best. Better salaries may help recruit better workers. They all work tirelessly at a job that is SO HARD!! They deserve to get paid a living wage that allows for compassion and dedication. Until then I feel things will stay the same until my mom passes there. Sad.

The entire staff is warm, kind and caring. I truly believe they enjoy caring for my mom. They let me know if she's having a good day or a bad day. My mom is comfortable at Lo-Har where she wasn't in the previous homes. I wholeheartedly believe it's the way they treat her and communicate with her that makes her feel comfortable. The whole staff is so nice. Kandy administration, Louisa the activities director, Amy the wellness director, Jenna the med tech, Adriana runs the kitchen, and all the rest Katie, Carol, Nancy, Annabelle Samantha and the ones I'm missing. Our father was a resident at Lohar Senior living for 3 years before he passed away this past June 2018. He had vascular dementia and was progressively deteriorating. Pace brought our father to Lohar where he started in the cottages and shortly thereafter moved to there Memory care unit. My sister and I lived outta state and dad never wanted to leave California and truth be told his health wasnt The best to live in Florida or N Carolina. The staff at Lohar from Kandy (the manager) to Michelle (head nurse), Amy and all the other staff, took our dad and treated him like family. They always let us know when dad needed anything, never made us feel like a bother when we called, and notified us of any changes immediately even at the end they called us so we could tell our dad one last time how much we loved him before he took his last breath. They gave that previous moment to us. We cant tell anyone enough how wonderful Lohar Senior Living is!!! They truly are just amazing! Our father loved them as do my sister and I!! If your looking for a loving place for your loved one, we highly recommend them from the bottom of our hearts!! Without them these past 3 years, I dont know how we would have cared for our dad. Try them, you too will love them!
