My dad & step mom are at the initial phase of gathering info. for when they might move to an assisted living facility. Appreciated the warm welcome and transparency of levels of care pricing. Staff we met all seemed friendly and authentic. Marbella so far is at the top of my parents list for what felt like a really good fit for them. Only negative is that when visiting a facility I don't care for when administrators say negative things about other facilities or how another facility runs their business. Let the consumer make their own decisions without influence.

Marbella Chico is a solid place. You can tell right away the staff actually gives a damn and isn’t just going through the motions. Everything’s clean, well kept, and it doesn’t have that cold facility feel. It’s way more comfortable and welcoming. The people there seem genuinely cared for, and that goes a long way. I almost want to check in myself! If you’re looking for a place you can feel good about, this is definitely the one!

My great grandma lived there for 10 months, and loved the whole experience. The staff and the care team was amazing. During the end of her life, they spent so much time and love checking in on us and making sure everything was going as smooth as possible. Accommodating the extra people in her room as we spent time, feeding us meals, and making the whole experience as frictionless as possible. Nancy, Mariah, Faith, Ronda, and so many others loved my great grandma like family and really made the difference.

Marbella of Chico has been an absolute blessing for families. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. Paul is incredibly attentive, compassionate, and truly committed to the well-being of each resident. The facility itself is beautiful”clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed to feel like home. What really stands out is the personalized care and the sense of community. I can’t say enough good things about Marbella. It brings peace of mind knowing families are in such good hands. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a senior living community that goes above and beyond!

The med techs and caretakers is what make this assisted living experience better. Unfortunately, the administration lacks a tremendous amount of leadership and communication. My mom was here for 5 weeks and we moved her. From day one, there were issues. Her necklace alert button was broken along with her bathroom alert button and for which she needed those two basic things to get help, amongst other issues like medication mismanagement. I reported this to licensing. Do not bring your loved ones here unless the higher management enforces more training and/or new administrative staff are hired. Not worth your time, energy or stress.

My mother unexpectedly had to go into assisted living in January 2017 after her dementia took the best of her. As I live on the East Coast, I had to move her and her belongings within a week. I made some calls ahead of time to Prestige and other places, and then visited them all during my trip. Especially now that I look back upon things, it was an easy decision to choose Prestige. Particularly because of their staff, all of whom are very caring and have longevity with the company -- it feels like they welcomed my mother into their home. There are always plenty of activities, and even I could share in those and meals with my mom whenever I visited. During the few times my mom had to visit the hospital during her stay at Prestige, the Prestige staff genuinely cared for her well being and visited her in the hospital. I highly recommend Prestige to all of those looking for a safe haven for their loved ones. I promised my mom I would take care of her in her last days just as well as she cared for me as a child -- and Prestige allowed me to honor my pledge with dignity. My mom has now passed, and I will genuinely miss my interactions with the Prestige staff.

My parents were residents at Prestige for about five years, during which they both experienced varied levels of need. They were able to provide continuity of care through all these stages. The facility provided ample activities and excellent meals. My parents were very happy with their lodgings and I was very happy with the staff's attention to their needs and my own concerns. The physical surroundings were clean, fresh, and the maintenance staff was always responsive. It was a huge relief to know that my parents would not have to move again in their lifetimes and that their relationships with their caregivers were trusting.

My Aunt lived in Corning, CA and I am her closest relative living in Ohio. When she needed to move to an assisted living place, somebodyl recommended Prestige. We could not have chosen a better place for my Aunt to be! Since I live so far away, I needed someplace that would care for my Aunt as if I was there. The entire staff has been so warm and loving and she felt comfortable right away. Every time I visited, they treated me like family also. Unfortunately my Aunt has passed away, but she was treated with utmost dignity and respect to the end. I would HIGHLY recommend Prestige for anyone looking for quality care for themselves or a family member.

My mother spent a few months at Prestige Assisted living before have to go to Prestige Expressions memory care, then to hospice. This was a great place for her to spend her final months. We found the staff attentive, concerned and very responsive to our needs and communications. It was doubly hard for us because all family lived out of state...however, sending a quick email always got an immediate response. We would highly recommend Prestige for seniors needing assistance or memory care. We give them a 5 star rating!!

Moving my husband's 94 year old mother to assisted living was a difficult decision. The entire staff at Prestige could not have been more helpful, responsive nor kinder. We are grateful for all the care and consideration she had in her last 3 months.

Testimonial Prestige Assisted Living One of the most difficult things to do is to move a parent, whether temporarily or permanently into a living situation, other than their home. It means allowing others to care for a loved one. We toured several locations prior to moving our father into Prestige Assisted Living. Initially, it began as a temporary situation but actually spanned almost one year. It goes without saying that the services provided were excellent. The food was good and offered variety for nearly every taste and diet. A bus that transports residents to and from medical appointments was very helpful. The apartments came in a variety of sizes and we found the one bedroom ideal. There were a number of other services, activities on-site and off, a beauty salon and medicine distribution that we found to be very important to the care of our father. However, the most important thing to my sister and me, and our father too, was the quality of care, compassion and respect shown to him and our entire family. They came to know his personality, likes and dislikes and they did their best to accommodate and appreciate each of them. They provided such loving care to our father and to us, that we came to consider them family.

As one of the most important decisions we either make on behalf of our parents or significantly influence, Prestige Assisted Living was and would be again that chosen home for our Mom because it combined quality of life and independence to the extent allowed by her evolving and increasing age impairments while providing her a safe and secure daily life. As our safety and well-being as children were top priority for our parents, so are the safety and well-being of our parents OUR top priority as they age beyond that point of safely sustaining their complete independence. So when we don’t have the ability and the capacity to do this on our own, we look for a way to provide a balance between safety and oversight with the allowable independence for sustaining a maximum quality of life and true respect for these special people as they physically and mentally age and become impaired. Assisted living can provide that environment as long as it has the right culture, care givers, medical professionals, and support staff. After due diligence and in-person visits with multiple Chico-based locations, Prestige Assisted Living stood out in all respects and became home for our mother for almost 18 months. She was able to have her own place with all of the basics provided, great activities offered from which she chose to be involved, and social support and encouragement provided 24/7, while being provided respectful support for performing even those basic daily living activities and the needed care and medications dependably and timely provided. All of this while allowing her kids, family and friends to then be visiting, taking her on short trips/visits and increasing her quality of life. While not the same as still living in the house she lived in for over 20 years in Chico, it appropriately and thankfully became her last home... Linda O'Keefe, Carol Jones and Joe Parinella

When my sister could no longer live on her own earlier this year, yet wanted to remain in Chico, a full day's drive away from me, we were delighted to have Prestige as an option to allow her to remain independent, yet have the help and support she needs on a daily basis. She was reluctant to make any move at all, but was finally persuaded to move to Prestige, charmed by the bright, airy apartment that was available at the time. She settled in immediately, won over by the staff who could not have done more to include her in activities and make her feel that she really was "home." Recently, I had the opportunity to take an extended trip abroad with my husband, which meant we were gone for almost a month. I was very concerned about leaving, as the dramatic difference in time made it difficult to call during her waking hours. My sister has been very dependent upon speaking with me on a daily basis. However, I was reassured by the staff at Prestige that she would get extra support during that time, so we made the trip. The wonderful people at Prestige made sure she received my emails, and received extra attention and reassurance during my time away. I am convinced that I would never have been able to take that trip if she had not had the strong support from the entire staff at Prestige. The result was that I had a much needed vacation and my sister thrived under the care of the wonderful people at Prestige. The peace of mind I had was priceless. More important, however, my sister loves Prestige more than ever. Prestige is a beautiful community. The food is wonderful, the decor is fresh and new, and there is always a feeling of activity and warmth. Most of all, though, Prestige is the people.. Prestige is the entire staff, including the administrators, nurses, chefs, table servers, medication administrators, housekeepers, maintenance director, and van driver. Every single person treats my sister as if she is part of their own family, and she has responded by loving her home there, with a level of contentment I've not seen for many years. Thank you, Prestige!
