The building is beautiful and well maintained and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Sandi, the executive director was cheerful and helpful and provided us with everything we needed to feel comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend this community!

Bickford of Canton is a wonderful senior community! There is a genuine sense of care and compassion for the residents when you walk through the front door. The core team of leadership is fantastic. The director Jeff is very outgoing and interested in his residents. The nurse Katrina is phenomenal. She has so much knowledge. I trust this staff completely with my loved one.

My experience with Bickford Senior Living reveals that they are very apathetic when it comes to addressing problems that are of great importance to their resident community. As the responsible family member of a long-time memory care resident at Bickford of Canton, I was concerned when no one answered the phone there during business hours, especially, after several tries. I then attempted to leave a message with the Managing Director, but his phone mail box was full. So, I contacted the District Director about this issue. She said she would look into it and call me back later in the week. When I did not receive a call back, I left her a reminder message which apparently fell on deaf ears. After waiting a couple of weeks, I then contacted the corporate office to relay my concerns. Again, no return call from anyone. It is a mystery to me how one can run an assisted living business this way. What I do know is that over the past year and a half, Bickford of Canton has been a revolving door for many of its employees. They have gone through 4 Managing Directors and recently lost the only responsible person that I knew in their employ. Since I live out of state, I really need to be able to contact someone there with questions regarding the needs of my very dependent family member. But it seems not even the Corporate Office is capable of basic courtesy and respect for those that pay the bill each month. They should be ashamed. As an update, I finally got a call from the Corporate Office acknowledging my latest attempt to contact them. They referred my comments back to the District Director. She called and asked me if the problem had been resolved. She did not recall having made a commitment to call me back. And she also did not recall that I had left her a reminder message. Corporate incompetence at its best.

Bickford of Canton is a beautiful building with a wonderful staff. The Director, Jeff, is very outgoing with a passion for helping serve our senior population. Leslie, the assistant director, is very kind is fantastic at listening to what you have to say. Katrina the Health and Wellness Director is fantastic at keeping the residents who live here happy as well as healthy. Great team and a wonderful place for your loved one to consider home.

Just had a tour and was very impressed with this place. Very clean, lots of activities available for the residents and very friendly staff. The rooms are a very nice size. Loved the personal touches that the residents put on the door to their room and 'porch area'!

The Bickford building in Canton takes such good care of my Mom. She has really bonded with some of the caregivers and Jeff the Executive Director in particular. I appreciate the many updates and photos I get of Mom's activities. I tell her that it's like she's gone to "camp" and I get to see all the activities and progress she's made. We've had some nice family meals in the private dining room, I can say that the food and service is restaurant quality. Thank you Bickford folks!

I couldn't recommend Bickford of Canton enough! It has been a great fit for my grandma. She loves her new apartment and the friends she is making there. It was not easy to convince her to move from her home at first, but now she so appreciates the community around her, the restaurant and daily activities, and the help she gets from the attentive staff at Bickford.

I never thought I would have needed to move my father from his home. Thankfully, the people at Bickford walked my family and I through the process with grace. This has been difficult to deal with, but I do feel we made the right choice with Bickford!

Jeff the Director and his team do a great job taking care of my Dad and helping him transition to congregate care. I really appreciate how the chef let my Dad into the kitchen to demonstrate how he likes his eggs cooked. Now my Dad looks forward to breakfast every day and even brags about how he "has a personal chef" that cooks him meals. The building is still new so it's got a lot of great decor and details that would make my Mom happy if she were around to see it.

My brother has a number of senior issues and I can't speak highly enough of the wonderful experiences he has been receiving at Bickford of Canton After considering other options, my family, and I had decided to move him to Bickford of Canton. It was a great decision. Jeff the manager is excellent. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable and treats him with respect. He gets to eat his favorite well prepared meals. The facility is clean and modern. I have peace of mind knowing he's there.

We feel a family member has to be present every day to make sure our mother receives the care she needs. Chronic staffing shortages have resulted in her rarely receiving the level of care she is paying for. Denell Bruyere, executive director, has tried VERY hard to make needed improvements but constantly hits the corporate brick wall. One simple thing she tried to do was to get a handicap accessible door to the courtyard but was told no. It is a law suit waiting to happen because of the way physically impaired residents have to wrestle with the door to access the courtyard. Staff turnover is very high and staff call offs are frequent. There have been many times our mother has had her call button on for an hour and a half with no response from staff. I shudder to think what would happen if she was experiencing an emergency. There are many friendly, competent staff members who have provided excellent care to our mother. Unfortunately, there are not enough of them.

Bickford of Canton is a must see if you live and work within the Canton community. On N. Canton Center Rd., right off of Ford Rd, sits the impressive new build assisted living and memory care. What the beautiful aesthetics dont tell you is how much the leadership team and staff care about their residents. In a world of uncertainty due to COVID, Bickford has done a tremendous job of educating, testing, and protecting both its staff and residents. As a fellow community organization, they are a reliable and trustworthy partner. If you or a family member are in need of care, I would highly recommend scheduling a time to hear their Caregivers Manifesto as well as meet their leadership team. From, Michelle (Community, marketing), Matt (Executive Director), Heather (RN coordinator), to their entire staff you will not be disappointment. 5 STAR!
