Harbor Chase in Naperville is a great partner with our Family in caring for and supporting our family member. We have been using the memory care team. The one thing that stands out to me is the communication between staff member and different departments. The move in could have been complicated, but Sharon and the team were on every detail. The memory care team took over immediately, with a welcoming transition, at our family member's level. The team knows my dad's name from the front Desk, to management, to the care givers. The facility is clean and organized. They work well with our family. The community is smaller than many memory care communities, which we feel has some distinct advantages as well.

I can't say enough good things about HarborChase Naperville and the people that live and work there. We just moved my FIL in last week and the staff has been wonderful. Not only is he being well taken care of but everyone including the residents have been so friendly and welcoming. The apartments and grounds are clean and comfortable. The food is delicious and the servers are very nice and and accommodating. The care givers are so responsive and respectful. The nurses do a great job and are easy to talk with about the care that is needed. There is a great variety activities and outings available for residents to take part in. The staff does a great job of informing the residents of everything going on and getting them involved. We are so pleased with our decision to move my FIL to HarborChase. He is adjusting quickly and doing well with the help of the amazing staff. I highly recommend contacting HarborChase Naperville if you or your family member are considering assisted living.

I looked at various memory care facilities in Naperville area for my sister. I opted for Harbor Chase with the upscale welcoming feel, spacious rooms and nice floor plan which aids for socialization. Sales Director is visible to ensure everything is going well. Memory care director, activity and care staff are kind, compassionate and attentive. The food is excellent! Our family is very pleased that our loved one is happy and well cared for.

HarborChase communicates to its members that if one is to be in transition (dying), that one relative who is not a member of HarborChase is allowed to sleep at HarborChase one single night in order to spend time with the dying HarborChase member during their last moments of life. When my grandmother was in transition, she displayed the following symptoms which included an inability to eat, inability to move, inability to take medication, inability to speak, and inability to open her eyes. She was on her deathbed which was provided by Hospice. Somebody named Donna stated to me "Your grandmother is not in transition, and therefore you are not allowed to spend the night with your grandmother." At 2:20AM that very night, my grandmother passed away. HarborChase does not adhere to what they communicate to their members. This is a place of dishonesty.

The staff went out of their way to make my sister feel welcome. They took good care of her and all her special needs. The food is good and the facilities are always clean with lots of activities available. I would recommend Harbor Chase to anyone looking for a new home.

Just want to give a shout out and thanks to Nurse May for her attention to detail and willingness to take action with respect to my dad's care. Based upon observations, she took the necessary actions to get him needed medical attention when it counted. Nice work and we really appreciate your thoughtfulness and care.

Open Letter Dear HarborChase, A little over two years ago my mom accepted her limitations due to Alzheimer’s disease and chose to make HarborChase home. Upon moving in you helped my mom make her apartment truly hers. You assisted with moving furniture and arranging possessions. You helped hang pictures and artwork on the walls. I remember one piece was quite heavy and required studs. You did not even hesitate. You simply asked where the piece should go and secured it safely to the wall. For someone who has been fiercely independent her entire life, living in an assisted living facility was challenging and my mom’s feelings of doing so were complex. Thankfully, you eased many of her concerns. You honored her request to enter her apartment only after knocking and being invited in (unless there was an urgent need). You allowed her to assist other residents, her friends, some with limited mobility who could use a little help getting around. In return, my mom felt appreciated and valued. When my mom asked for something constructive to do, you suggested she tidy up the garden, and she was very happy to do so. You did all of this along with providing fundamental support, such as administering medication, providing meals, and recreational activities, for example, which alleviated some of my biggest concerns. As my mom’s final weeks and then days approached, not only did you provide her with the support she needed, but you also provide me and my family with the support we needed. You allowed us to be with my mom when we wanted, how we wanted, and for as long as we wanted. During these final days I was touched by your sincere compassion and empathy. I watched as you came to see my mom, not because you were supposed to, but because you wanted to. I appreciated every time you asked if there was anything I needed. And I am thankful for your patience when I repeatedly asked the same questions, over and over and over again. Thank you for all you have done, for my mom, for my family, and for me. Scott Fuller

I toured this facility three times prior to my father making his final decision. The facility is stunning! The look and feel is that of an assisted living place with dignity and independence. There are various activities scheduled daily, the common areas are large for family visits, menus offer several dining options, a clean and spacious workout room and a cozy family activity area are included in their price structure. The rooms themselves looked like elegant apartments, spacious and bright. I loved this place for my father who was not keen on the idea of assisted living. Harbor Chase is place where an elderly person can live out their years with dignity and independence. While my father selected another facility, I, as his daughter, was impressed with the facility and their staff. Shawna, the Director of Sales and her co-worker, Bryce, were amazing. I felt it necessary to write an honest review for Harbor Chase. I read facility reviews prior to my tours and narrowed the ones with the best reviews to call and tour. Shawna made a daunting task easier to navigate. Professional and kind, had my father selected this place, I would feel good and confident he was cared for properly.

My dad was living at another assisted living and things were not going well. They were not taking care of him the way the said they would. We ended up moving him here a few months ago and we are very happy. The building is very pretty and they have lots of different dining places to eat at so there is lots of choice. We are trying to get my mother-in-law to move there too because it is so close to our home.
