One of the best facilities around. Justin, the director, has been wonderful to work with. He has shown compassion and support for me and my mother. A good advocate for responsible care and family needs.

I had the privilege of touring this community for my dad today. Transitions at this age aren't easy and my dad doesn't like change. But after walking through with Michael, meeting Liz, the director and Brittany the activities director, there was no doubt that my dad would be genuinely cared for here. I appreciated that they have all levels of care to meet my dad's needs wherever he is. The community was breathtaking. They even had a swimming pool! But what stands apart, aside from the warmth of those in leadership roles, was witnessing the smiles of the residents, hearing the laughter in the community areas and having a newly moved in resident stop me and say that he is so grateful and happy they found this place for his dad. And then I got to see his dad- 80 something years old in the exercise room, grinning from ear to ear. Seeing and feeling the joy and warmth here brings peace to my heart when I consider the future care of my dad. Thank yall for taking the time to show me around, I wish I was old enough to come live with all the cool kids!

My wife is in the Memory Care unit and I am in an independent apt. We have been at LO for almost a year. Most satisfied!

Legacy Oaks has been a Godsend for my family! I moved my parents from out of state over two years ago and over that time we've seen a few different iterations of the facility and staff. From both parent living in independent together to having to separate them due to the health of one parent and have one parent in independent and one parent in assisted living, the Legacy Oaks team was with our family each step of the way! The attention, support, care, guidance and partnership from every person at the campus from Justin all the way down to the housekeepers, I couldn't ask for a better group of people to watch over, love and care for my parents! The nursing staff and caregivers are the best in the business hands down! I've told them a million times they are "Angels on Earth" and have a special gift from God! The food services group led by a wonderful human named John always add a little spice of love to each meal they serve! The special care they gave to my dad and his special diet will never be forgotten. John always turned a puree diet into a Michelin 5 star meal each day! Even though its beautiful living center from inside and out with many great amenities, its the people that make it a special place! After the passing of my dad to see the love, support and compassion the others who live at Legacy have shown my mom I couldn't say "Thank You" enough! They adopted her into their games, puzzles, meals and activities, they have made the transition to being a widow after 63 years of marriage doable and given her a new outlook on life! Love is felt from the second you walk in the doors of the facility! As someone who has managed Corporate facilities for over 30 years you can't just create that kind of magic! In closing, if your looking at Legacy Oaks as a home for yourself or someone you love you can't and will not go wrong with that decision! I would make that decision again 10 out of 10 times! If I could give more than 5 stars I would have without any hesitation!

I did a virtual tour yesterday with my granddaughter having feet on the ground. Liz Smith did a great job of showing us all of the amenities and the apartments that we were interested in. I was very impressed with their gym that the PTs and OTs can use for therapy as well as the residents using on their own. The dining options are also more diverse than any of the other places we’ve toured.

We absolutely love Liz and the knowledge she has as well as how beautifully wonderful it is at this facility.

Had the pleasure of talking with Liz Smith the Community Relations Coordinator of Legacy Oaks last night. Ms. Smith was very knowledgable and informative in regards to the multitude of questions that were asked of her. She was a pleasure to talk with and we couldn't have been more pleased with the answers we received.

I have lived at Legacy Oaks for a little over two years and I’m happy to call at home. I call it stress-free living. I live in one of the outside cottages and love the feeling a privacy it gives. I would not call the food here, gourmet food, but it is nutritious and certainly better than what I fixed for myself when I lived alone. I don’t have to shop for the food. I don’t have to cook the food. I don’t have to clean up after I eat the food. And I have yet to find a time when I couldn’t find something on the menu that I liked and wanted. It is the people who live here that make it very special. They are kind, loving and friendly. The staff works very hard to keep us happy and well cared for. I am in independent living. I know this was a wonderful decision for me to move here. There are many activities to participate in. I enjoy playing cards and so I play hand and foot and bridge here.

Legacy Oaks is a wonderful place for my in-laws and I am looking at the possibility of moving my mother there in the future. The staff is amazing and everyone is very, very caring.

I have only lived in Independent Living since October but can't say enough good things. Staff and residents are very friendly and helpful. Activities are first class and offer various types to join in if interested. There is a variety of dining options or you can visit the Bistro for other items. If there is a scale for satisfaction, mine would be 10. Accommodations are super also ‘

I was so impressed with Legacy Oaks. They spent over an hour with me, learning about my mom and her needs as well as taking me on an in-depth tour. I was surprised to learn that the program director gets to know each resident and works to meet their needs. My mom is really concerned with staying active in the community and the program director would help her find meaningful volunteer work. I was also relieved to find out that should my mom need assisted living at some point, she would be able to maintain her friendships and activities on the independent living side. I could go on and on about the attention to small details that make a difference in honoring the independence, individuality, and dignity of their residents. I write this as a coach, spiritual companion, and holistic healer who works with the needs of human beings every day.

As a Senior Real Estate Specialist working throughout Ellis County, I’ve had the opportunity to tour and partner with many senior communities but Legacy Oaks of Midlothian continues to stand out as one of the very best. This Civitas Senior Living community offers a full range of Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care all thoughtfully designed and delivered with heart. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel that Legacy Oaks is different. The team takes a relationship-first approach with every resident and family. They’re not just guiding you through a move they’re walking with you through a major life transition, with empathy and expertise at every step. Independent Living at Legacy Oaks is perfect for active seniors who want freedom without the hassle of home maintenance. There’s a real sense of community here, with social events, dining, and amenities that support connection and well-being. For those who need a bit more help, Assisted Living is delivered in a respectful and personalized way that honors each resident’s dignity and independence. What really stands out, though, is the Memory Care neighborhood. It’s secure, engaging, and deeply compassionate”designed to support those living with Alzheimer’s or dementia in a way that creates purpose and comfort. I’ve seen firsthand how the staff builds real relationships with residents and families alike. Beyond care levels, what makes Legacy Oaks truly special is the culture. It’s not just a place to live it’s a place to thrive. From morning routines to evening events, there’s joy and intention woven into each day. Whether you’re looking for a vibrant, maintenance-free lifestyle or a safe, supportive environment for a loved one with memory loss, Legacy Oaks of Midlothian is a place I confidently recommend to clients and would feel good about for my own family.

I’ve been happy & comfortable at LOOM since I moved in 2 years ago! The staff is very pleasant & accommodating but at times need to be reminded of issues I’ve asked to be addressed. For the most part, the food is fine, but the variety could be enhanced with a larger repertoire for the daily specials. The fact that our food point allowance does not increase when our monthly fees go up or the menu points increase concerns me. I understand we are receiving the same number of points per month as were issued when LOOM first opened its doors, & there have been yearly increases to our rent & expenses. Activities are fun; our Activity Director is awesome & provides a broad range of things to do. There seems to be an issue with communication from staff to residents right now (example: We were told there would be a vaccine clinic on a particular day, but the time & place wasn’t ever announced - just a Come on down! when it was nearly over.

My best friend has been here for years.as of late (for about six months) one of the elevators has been out of service, the cleaning staff that does regular house cleaning on her apartment only does 30 minutes of touch up ,and she has had to wait up to 2 1/2 hours for her meals to be taken to her.All this and a huge increase in her rent .

have lived here over 2 years and truly enjoy. I have met many new friends and participate in water aerobics three times a week I have gone on several outings they arranged and transported us. Once a week They provide transportation on their bus to the grocery store, The management team is excellent.

July 2023
I have been to several community events held at Legacy Oaks and it is a beautiful facility. The staff is top-notch, always very friendly and caring toward the residents and guests. It definitely has a family atmosphere.
June 2023
My home or here at Legacy Oaks has been a learning experience. At this point in time I would not be anywhere else, I love the friends I have made here, the staff, does he it’s best to accommodate us. I have recommended this place many times, and receive a bonus for doing so. However The corporation does not have the same compassionate care in mind, that our on-site staff shows. Our food, dining experience, has gone downhill since I moved in three years ago. Because of budget we cannot get the quality food we need. chicken strips, for example were excellent for a while, but now not worth ordering, the same with white fish.much breading little meat.. I am told Civitas will not allow the staff to order the better quality food because of cost. However, they raise our rent every year for cost of living.. hummm? Our food has become much like TV dinners. I I do not feel I can recommend Legacy Oaks of Midlothian as confidently as I used to it.

I liked living it Legacy Oaks midlothian. I wish we had more employees here so that the place could be kept cleaner and we could have quicker maintenance response. The food is beginning to improve some but still is very lacking. Appreciate that everyone is trying to improve things.
July 2022
Legacy Oaks is obviously a very beautiful place and the residents receive top notch service.. in regards to food and activities. And the residents are absolutely spoiled (in the best way possible). Laquinta, the caregivers, and the med techs care deeply about the residents and that is very obvious. I know they are trying so hard to make Legacy Oaks a wonderful place and I respect that. I know in my heart that this facility will get better and better. With love Charlei

God answered my prayers the day I received a call telling me there was an apartment available for me. Legacy Oaks has given me everything I had on my wish list that I wanted. The employees here are more like family who have our comfort and needs in mind. The day I moved in I had several neighbors stop by to welcome me and offer to help. I just love all my new friends here! We sing gospel music together, walk every morning, play games, attend Bible Study and visit with one another sharing our life stories, Thank you Legacy Oaks for allowing me to be a part of this precious family!
