My elderly mother moved into The Benton House two months ago. I could not be more pleased. The community itself is small with no elevators! Love that! Apartments are bright and the entire place is cheerful. The management team is responsive and caring. They know their residents and make it such a personal experience. It isn't easy to transition a parent who has been independent for the majority of their life. Having competent and caring people has been a lifesaver. I also love the physical therapist and nurse practitioner.

I was looking for a clean, caring and comfortable place for my parents when their health and independence had declined. The front office and care staff or engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is well kept and clean and I especially liked that it was not a huge place. My parents have lived in their home of almost 50 years and were used to a comfortable and quiet environment and Benton was an answer to our prayers. Thank you!

May I have your attention please! If you're at a point in your life where you are worrying more about your parents being alone in their home, I've got some advice for you! Check out the Benton House!! I just moved my mom there and I would say it was the best thing for both of us. The management and staff are wonderful! This place gives your parent(s) independence along with any assistance they may need. Always smiles and a positive and caring atmosphere! Many activities per day too. I highly recommend! Call and ask for Tasha. She will answer any questions you may have!

I would love to thank Ms. Tasha Williams from the Benton House of West Ashley for the outstanding services and going beyond to accommodate the needs for Grandparents to have them gain residency to the establishment. Ms. Tasha Williams not only showed professionalism toward the process but she made sure I was direct in the right direction to make it an easy transition for them to a new location in a short period of time. My aunt moved into the assisted living section a week ago. Everyone (Tasha, Stephanie, Jean, Quinn, Crystal, Tanesha and forgetting many others) have done a fantastic job of helping my aunt get settled in. Everyone is very caring and have gone the extra mile to make a difficult situation easier for my aunt. Thank you! The facility is beautiful and clean (kudos to the housekeeping staff).

I'm in home health and my client is a resident here. This is just a wonderful place to be at. The atmosphere is friendly and warm. Her apartment is just lovely. The activities are fun and engaging. The staff is caring and loving. They truly care about each individual here!!!

My mother just finished a two week respite stay at the Benton House located in West Ashley, SC and I have to say it was an amazing experience. I knew this was going to be an excellent place with my first interaction with Tasha Williams, Community Relations Director and Stephanie Hager, Executive Director. They worked with me to ensure my mom was comfortable during her stay. The remaining of the stay were also amazing. Everyone had a smile and appeared to be happy with their job. If your looking for an assisted living facility in the Charleston, SC area you need to look no further than the Benton House.

Resident Assistants, kitchen workers, med techs, activities employees are wonderful but each area is short staffed. The initial interview promised so much but there are many areas that could use improvement. The value is not worth the return. Plus, this past month we where notified of a large increase in rent. We were told there is an increase each year. We were not notified of that when we moved our father in.

My mother was bed ridden and ready to go home to god when we first brought her to Benton House. She was under weight as well. She is now happy and healthy. She would rather be there then even come home to visit. I can’t say enough nice things about the staff and her care.

Excellent assisted living move for my mom! I had been looking for the right senior community for over a year before I found Benton House. The staff is friendly and caring and their attention to her needs has exceeded my expectations. (Everything from medication management, daily life reminders or help with her tv remote or flip phone.) When I have a question, they are responsive. There are plenty of activities to keep her mentally, physically active and social and they have welcomed her as a new family member. I am so very relieved....

There are certain staff that are top notch and caring but a lot of the times I see staff on the phone while several residents could be receiving more care. They definitely need more staff for the ratio of residents. It is a clean facility
