I have lived at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe in San Antonio Texas for exactly 1 year this month (October, 2024). Personally I am gregarious, loquacious, and extroverted. I get along with and enjoy everyone that lives here. I have also recommended Brookdale Senior living to my brother who lives in Hawaii, but will soon move to Oregon. I am an 84 year old veteran (US Navy), and I enjoy living in San Antonio.

We brought a relative from a Lubbock "Brookdale" facility that was great. Expecting the move to be a simple transfer with fees remaining the same didn't happen. Numerous fees were added the 1st month with a promise of credit the following month. Jose, the salesman either lied or went beyond his authority, which cost us $1,000's. Be very careful. They also appeared to be understaffed.

I've taken time to rate this place because in December 2022, I was overwhelmed when I was trying to find a place for my mom, since she needed 24/7 care and private care at home was just outrageously expensive for us. I cried because it was so hard and I didn't know where to start but I had a Place for Mom help out a lot (also recommend them as a free referral agency). They gave me the number for a few Brookdale facilities and well, we went with the Hamilton Wolfe one. It's had a little bit of an upscale but still homey vibe; also, very affordable for us, too. I can easily say that now that it's been a few months, I have peace in my heart knowing that this was a place that is going to look after her with the same love and care as I would. The staff there involves her in activities, such as helping add menu items that people would like and teaching her how to crochet, etc. And I know that has given my mom the social connection she would have never had at home by herself. I can highly recommend this place, coming from a daughter who loves her mom dearly and just wanted the best for her.

I chose Hamilton Wolfe Brookdale because of the staff and level of care my mother receives. I receive personal stories of interaction with my mother and staff reqularly, which gives me peace of mind in regards to her level of care. Crystal has been great in providing me with all the information I need to make decisions regarding my mothers care. More importantly, Crystal cares about her residents and it shows at every level of interaction.

Mom mom is suffering from dementia and the staff at Hamilton Wolfe work with her challenges in a kind and caring way. My mom seems happy and safe. She is engaged with other residents. The staff is very good at contacting me when issues arise in a timely and caring manner.

My brother used to live in Clare Bridge prior to his recent passing. I wanted to take the time to thank the care staff and Shelly for giving him some amazing final years! When he came to Brookdale he was not well but within weeks I was seeing the brother I had always known and loved. Shelly is amazing in her work and without her my brother probably wouldn't have made it to see 2021.

MY sister lives here and she loves it!! We talk everyday and there's never been a point when she's unhappy unless she misses bingo, she always rushing me off the phone on bingo days. She live in another place prior to this but it was nowhere near as family incorporating as this one. They constantly have party's festivals and happy hours to keep her engage and enjoying life, these events always invite the family to join. Thank you for the memories Brook dale!!

I'm here today to commend my 1 year anniversary here at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe. I found when I moved in here that I wasn't just a resident but a member of a family! I have to say we have a really good staff that are available whenever we need them. We have daily activities to entertain and stimulate us such as bingo and trivia. We have a transportation service who will take us to our medical appointments. They are going to take us to see the Christmas lights this week. If I could recommend friends or just the general public I would recommend my home. Tell them Barry sent you!

My mothers been there now for going on 5 years its first-rate facility theres times when they have trouble with such keeping employees but the management takes up the slack my mother is very content there. We dont know what wed do without it
