We just yesterday (12/17/2025) successively delivered my afflicted Aunt to The Arbors in Amherst. Karen Zucco, the director of this fine facility, met us at the entrance and escorted us to the second floor where we met the floor supervisor Sharon, who I believe recognized me, made her way to us and clearly welcomed my Aunt saying, Wilma, welcome you’ve arrived just in time, are you hungry, would you join us for lunch. My Aunt beamed, she was home ! This approach, helping a soul to feel that they belong, it’s made this situation easier for us, Wilma’s family. Knowing that the Arbor’s staff are more than doing their job, they are enlarging their own family, an atmosphere of care and compassion. Karen and Sharon, and every associate, here at the Arbor’s in Amherst, are the epitome of what all of us should aspire to in our walk of life. I hope that when my time comes, that the Arbor’s has room for me !

My mother has been at The Arbors since June, and the staff have been amazing throughout her time there. Special thanks to Karen for being so accessible and supportive. Catuna and Leandra for caring for my mom in such a kind way. The kitchen staff is wonderful, as is reception. My mom has since moved down the hall to Reflections and the staff there is just as attentive and caring. I can’t say enough good things about The Arbors. It’s a wonderful place we are so lucky that there is a facility in Amherst!

The Arbors at Amherst is a kind and loving environment, making it wonderful knowing my mother is in such a caring place. The staff are caring and communicative with us. When the administrator expresses that the residents living at the Arbors are considered family, she speaks truthfully. We are so fortunate that my mother was able to move to the Arbors at Amherst when she could no longer live with us.

The Arbors at Amherst provides a genuine home for my Mom as she ages with dementia. Her apartment is ample but cozy, she's able to keep her beloved support cat, and she has settled into a routine with friends at meals, stimulating activities, and delicious food. The staff has gotten to know her quirks, so they're able to collaborate effectively with me to provide a happy, safe, fun environment for my deeply confused Mom. I am so grateful for the stress reduction in my life that comes from knowing Mom is safe, and for the wonderful quality of life The Arbors affords my very deserving Mom!

Mom moved to the Arbors at Amherst Reflections Community one year ago today, and I cannot say enough about the facility, management, and the staff. My sister and I sleep better at night knowing mom is in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for her long-term care. The staff and nursing team are highly skilled and communicative with our family. Daily, structured activities have provided mom the opportunity to build community with her fellow residents and make new friends. It has been remarkable to witness her progress since arriving to the Arbors. We are deeply grateful.

Mom was 92 and one tough cookie. She was basically kicked out of her last place. I explained all this to Karen (CEO) and her team and - and they did a great job. Mom got involved in several activities, made some nice friends and continued to "be a hoot". But was truly well cared for. The team was communicative, responsive and very understanding. As a retired social worker, I'm finicky with high expectations. They delivered. Thanks to all of the team and staff!! Highly recommended!

The leadership and staff at the Arbors brought the community through the pandemic with care, compassion, and caution. They are all very insightful about resident concerns and open to family input. In addition the food/meals are generous in size and delicious and the activities are mindful of needs and enjoyable for all.

My mom and dad moved to the Arbors in Amherst over a year ago. They and our whole family have been totally thrilled with the care, attention and services provided. During the pandemic the Arbors has been extremely cautious and though it is difficult to not have direct contact with my parents we understand how important it is to be vigilante and safe. As of July there has not been one case of covid in the facility. I would highly recommend the Arbors to anyone in need of assisted living.
