Larissa, the Executive Director, does an incredible job leading with professionalism, compassion, and a clear dedication to both residents and staff—it shows in everything she does. Cece, the Sales Coordinator, is an absolute standout. She’s welcoming, knowledgeable, and makes the entire process feel easy and stress-free for families. Kim, the nurse, is attentive, compassionate, and always goes above and beyond to ensure residents receive the best possible care. Kaitlyn, the Activities Director, brings so much life and energy into the community, creating engaging and meaningful experiences that residents truly enjoy and look forward to. And Joanne, the Business Office Manager, keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes—organized, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. It’s clear this team genuinely cares about their residents and works together seamlessly to create a warm, supportive environment. Highly recommend Legacy Village to anyone looking for a place where people are truly valued and cared for.

I have visited Legacy Village often, visiting friends. Every time I have experienced a very happy environment. it is obvious that my friends and other residents are well cared for and happy. Larissa, the Executive Director, does an great job leading the community. I have also met Joanne King in the business office, she is very kind, always with a smile and helpful to the residents. I have recommended Legacy Village to family and friends. It's a good feeling knowing that the care there is exactly what the residents need.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time at Legacy Village of Murrells Inlet over the past two years, and I’ve always been impressed with the atmosphere there. The residents are friendly, outgoing, and seem genuinely happy. The staff is upbeat and caring, and they treat the residents with kindness and respect. The facility itself is beautiful, very accommodating, and always exceptionally clean. Larissa does a great job as Executive Director. Since she has been there, she has brought a new level of energy and excitement to the Village, and it shows in the positive environment throughout the building. Joanne in the business office is always helpful and kind to both residents and families, and she goes out of her way to make people feel comfortable. Today I had the privilege of witnessing an episode of real compassion and caring toward a family member, and it honestly filled me with joy to see how much the staff truly cares. Everyone there is friendly, fun to be around, and dedicated to making this a great place to live. From my experience and everything I’ve seen, this is a wonderful community with people who truly care about the residents. I would feel very comfortable having a loved one here.

I would like to leave a review of Legacy at Murrells Inlet, today, February 6, 2026. Although my mother has lived at Legacy thru different changes in management over the last 8 years and I have left reviews before, I would like to note that Legacy, under the direction of Executive Director, Larissa Kostal has been phenomenal. She hit the ground running as soon as she arrived. she is personable and organized and very caring to the residents, the staff and the families. She is always open to discussion and will take time to go over any concerns you have about your loved one's care. I see her interact with staff and I have heard them state that they are very happy that she is leading them. The staff is stellar as well, from the dining room, the nurses (on site and those that come in), the physical therapist, the housekeeping, the caregivers and the supervisors of those caregivers, the maintenance, the driver that takes my mother to appointments and last, but definitely not least is the front desk staff, most notably Christine, who goes way beyond her duties as assigned. Also, Nancy who comes in part-time at the front desk and also goes above and beyond to care for everyone that walks thru that door and anyone that works and lives there. Honestly, I am so happy that my mother is still in this facility, and I don't have to worry about her care. Thank you to each and every one of you.

A beautiful community with a warm and kind staff you felt the love. During my visit, my friend and her table mates were all happy and relaxed. The meal was delicious. The halls were filled with festive decorations a wonderful experience. I told my daughter, I choose Legacy when the time comes for AL.

Our mom has been at Legacy now since July. We are so happy with the care and kindness she experiences every day. The staff, caregivers and all involved in her daily routines go above and beyond to make her feel safe, happy and very loved. As mom likes to say, "Legacy is the place to be!" We recently moved my mom to Legacy Village and we could not be happier. I had toured the facility with Rene Owen’s last year but mom was not ready at that time. As her situation deteriorated recently, I reached out to Rene and she worked quickly and efficiently to get my mom placed within days of my call. Her kindness and compassion are truly unmatched. We will forever be grateful for her help in our time of need. She is a gift to Legacy Village. Christine at the front desk always greets you with a smile and is very informative. The staff have all worked tirelessly to help my mom settle in and feel included. They have displayed great communication with our family and have a strong commitment to resident safety and well being. The facility , rooms and meals are very impressive. It is a very welcoming and comfortable environment. They have many engaging activities and social opportunities for the residents. The outdoor space is a game changer for us. My mom loves to sit out and enjoy the fresh air. It is truly a home like atmosphere , where my mom feels valued , connected and cared for. If you are looking for an assisted living or memory care for a loved one , look no further than Legacy Village. It will not disappoint.

My dad went to live at St. Gabriel's in Murrells Inlet in April 2023. The staff there is so friendly and helpful. The activities director has so many activities for the residents. Even when the dining room was closed due to covid, she had roaming activities that the residents could enjoy from their rooms. My dad has adjusted well, made friends and smiles much more. He seems happy there. My siblings and I don't have to worry about him being in his house alone at 90 years old. Thank you to all of the staff. Also, my dad said that he has never had any complaints about the staff. That says a lot.

St. Gabriel of Murrells Inlet has been wonderful for my Mother-in-law. We had a bad experience with another Assisted Living Home, which led us to search for something better for her. St. Gabriel's employees are caring, friendly and understanding. We feel she is getting the care she deserves from people who truly care. Everyone knows her name which means so much. I would highly recommend St. Gabriel of Murrells Inlet to care for your loved one.

My SIL has been at St Gabriel's for a few months now and loves it . The staff is outstanding and very caring and attentive. The activities are plentiful and fun . I spend a lot of time at St. Gabriel’s interacting with the staff as well as the residents. The staff is spectacular and they genuinely care about the people that live there. Scott is a great asset, he is always pleasant and helpful. Angie has the warmest personality, is wonderful to work with, and is so welcoming. Lastly Trish is always the life of the party she keeps all the residents busy, involved, and has the most uplifting personality! If you’re looking for a great place for your loved one to move to, where they will be well cared for and involved in a community. This is the place!

My Father lived here for a year. I could not have found better care anywhere else. They treated my Dad with dignity & kindness & were amazing with me til the end. It was affordable, clean, caring, professional, & in an excellent location. The Director & her staff became my family. At a time when Covid was at its worst, they protected my Dad from the evils on the outside & inside. They were aware of his situation with a former friend & made sure to notify me & protect my Dad at all costs. I highly recommend St Gabriel's if you are looking for a caring place for your loved one. They offer Assisted Living- Memory Care. Truly an amazing group of people!
