My parents moved into MorningStar Jordan in 2022. My mom died last year and my dad last month, both basically of old age at 96 and 101.They lived at two other assisted living facilities before moving into MorningStar Jordan. What sets MorningStar Jordan apart from the others is how much everyone on the staff cares about the residents. You feel it when you walk in and check in with the concierge, when you have questions or requests for the care staff, and when you talk to the dining room staff. The care staff is very responsive and keeps you informed. They check-in with residents more than required. I was always amazed that the dining room staff was keeping track of how much every resident was eating and foods they enjoyed. The activity staff was very engaged with the residents and their enthusiasm was contagious. Never once was I concerned about my parents living there. Definitely recommend.

This is our 2nd go around at MS Jordan so that says a lot. This place is great! My father could live independently but is helping with mom, so they have made accomadations for their living style even though it is Assisted Living and Memory Care only. The staff is helpful, responsive and caring. Of course this decision isn't ideal, everyone would like to stay in their homes but if that isn't an option for you, come to MS Jordan!

I was so lucky to find MS Jordan-assisted living for my dad. From my first meeting with Maureen Till, until I moved my dad in, Jacqueline, Brad, Leigh and all of the caregiving support staff were wonderful and exceptionally caring. It is not easy moving a parent to an assisted living center from their home, but MS Jordan staff went out of their way to help my dad to adjust to his new home and to make friends. They helped me to sleep better at night knowing my dad was being cared for. My dad is a retired veteran and I also LOVE the way they honor veterans for their service.I highly recommend MS Jordan if you need a place for support for your loved one. MS Jordan, thank you!!!

I stopped into this facility on the spur of the moment to get a brochure. I am considering a move for my sister from independent living in Florida to an assisted living facility close to my home. I was pleasantly surprised that the Director, Maureen, was able to make some time to speak with me. She was very knowledgeable, and genuinely interested about the needs of my sister. She gave me valuable insight and suggestions regarding resources we could look into prior to making a major move for my sister. We aren’t ready to make that decision for a few months, but I plan to come back for an appointment to learn more about MorningStar and their vision and mission. This will help me decide if this is the best fit for my elderly sister.

My Mom has been a resident of Morningstar for 4 years. Her first year she enjoyed residing in Assisted Living with her dog Snoopy. Then she required the advanced support of Memory Care. So she moved into a new apartment. The move went well despite having to move her during Covid lock down. The staff in each of the areas are very kind and attentive. It is important that they anticipate moms need which they do well. I would recommend this community to anyone considering support for their loved one.

My cousin was in Memory Care for over year - it was a lovely environment both inside and out. My sister decorated her room and although small it was a nice room. Due to her dementia she could not use the button which on multiple she was left in her room without prompt assistance. Also, the food was less than desirable and a disappointment. Rarely if ever was even warm.. All in all it was ok for but the employees are obviously worn out and overworked but I think a smaller environment would have been better

Morningstar at Jordan was the best place I could have placed my parents. My mom and dad were able to live together the last 6 months of their lives.The staff at Morningstar we're like family. They took great care of them and loved them. Every time I would go to the facility I was impressed by the care and assistance provided to my parents. My mother was a resident at Morning Star Jordan. She recently passed away. The care and attention she received in her elderly years, made her and I comfortable with the senior living facility we chose. All the staff members made this an enjoyable, caring experience for mom. The friends she made from the staff and residents, made her senior years in life worth living. I can say that this also made me feel at ease that she was safe and well taken care of. If you’re needing a senior living facility for your elderly parent. Take the time to interview and tour Morning Star Jordan. The director Maureen will walk you through the tuff emotion decision placing your elderly family member into a senior living facility. She will answer all your questions you might have to help you make the right choice. I’m writing this review because the experience mother and I had with this facility was as expected and they performed a great, caring, love for there resident end of life experience.

I moved my mom from Portland, Oregon in August of 2021 and Morningstar at Jordan is the 3rd assisted facility she has lived. The staff has been wonderful through the transition, getting to know her (and her very specific needs), and now she's already at a point that I can only say has been overwhelming incredible - for her and me. She can be a "challenge"...a stroke 5 1/2 years ago that left her paralyzed in the right side and left her suffering from expressive aphasia (when you know what you want to say, but you have trouble saying it). After being very self-sufficient as a retired art professor, then in 24 hours, finding herself in her current condition has been emotional and very frustrating, which she oftentimes takes out on others so I can't say enough about the care she is receiving. Most importantly, I see the change in her demeanor, actions and willingness to engage with others (for the first time since her stroke). My most heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the entire team at Morningstar Jordan for what they do....all have my greatest respect.

I can honestly say that I have never left a review before (for anyone/any place). However, I wanted to take a moment to recognize MorningStar at Jordan for their love and care. My father recently a passed away, but he was able to reside here for the last couple of years of his life. They provided a true community environment. He formed many friendships and stayed active. As his need for care increased, so did the attention and support of the staff. They made sure he was able to remain with familiar, caring faces the whole time. There are people in this world like Nick, Brad, Jackie, Octavia (and others) that give so much of themselves... and my family will forever be grateful for them. Thank you MorningStar for the care and love.

Be sure your loved one can operate call button independently. My mother could not because of horrible arthritis in her fingers. I was assured she would be checked on every hour. This did not turn out to be the case. Food was left on her table un opened, rarely did any caregivers assist her with that. She was left in her recliner for 24 hrs without any changing of depends. Fell out of bed & wasn’t discovered for 30 min. I felt like I needed to be there several hours every day because of poor quality of care. Would definitely not recommend this facility.

In the year and a half that our mother has been there, they still don't know who she is. The management staff is constantly confusing her with another resident. It doesn't help that the management there has changed about a dozen times since we moved my mom in. Now the new regime is trying to bill us extra because we won't use a certain pharmacy but instead pick up our mom's medication ourselves and bring it into the care managers. It's a real shame that things are so screwed up here.

You always worry about giving up the care of your family to strangers. It cannot he helped. Their health, wellness, and daily activities are forever changed, and you have to hope that you haven’t chosen a terrible place for their final years. After having experienced two grandparents in the general retirement area, and one of those grandparents later in memory care, I can say with confidence that the family chose well with Morning Star. Yes. There are always difficulties in communication, insurance, billing, and everything else that you might expect from dealing with any sort of business entity at all. This simply comes with the territory. But what makes me happy with how my grandparents lived out their time at Morning Star is the respect, dignity, and help that they got from a great staff. If my grandfather was feeling ill, the staff would bring soup to his room. If he needed help with medicine, there were services to assist in managing his pills. Finally when he died, the staff was helpful to the family in planning for my grandmother. In memory care, my grandmother was taken to every meal, she was brought to the daily activity session, and was never just left in her room to fade away. Her defiance was met with patience, and the staff always let us know about anything she might need (socks, pants, etc.) The last few years of someone’s life is an uncomfortable topic. Death is an uncomfortable topic. But I’m so happy that Morning Star made my grandparents last days more bearable. He had an incredible experience in interacting with the staff and residents and was particularly impressed with the quality and quantity of food.
