Omisha is a most helpful, warm and friendly staff person who adds a special feeling to this excellent community. I can always count on her assistance when I need it and her warm smile welcomes me and others to our home in a very special way. I could continue because there is so much good that she does. I live two thousand miles away from my mom, and so it was critically important that I pick the right place to care for her. I could not be more impressed with Atria New City (now The Chelsea at New City). The facility is magnificent; the apartments are beautiful; the food is amazing. The amenities are top notch; the activities are plentiful and varied; the grounds are lovely and calming. And none of that even compares to the quality and excellence and professionalism of every single staff member. Every interaction left me dazzled and confident that my mom is in the best of hands.

The Chelsea in New City is a beautiful environment especially for older people who have been in New City for many years or who love the land it was built on. Staff were very friendly and I was surprised by some of the activities offered. I would love even a studio apartment there ( for myself).

My mother has been a resident of Chelsea New City, formerly Atria since it opened in 2020. Our family was looking forward to a change with the hopes that new Chelsea leadership would be a breath of fresh air. Food and activities need improvement, which I have been told is a work in progress. I have not had much interaction with the new Director, but the nursing staff, med tech team & caregiving staff have been very empathetic & wonderful, specifically Nursing Supervisor - Kendra S. RN, Jackie S. LPN, Manushka, George, Marie and Jasmine. They are standout employees. Executives, Stephanie B and Laura H are always super helpful. We get a warm welcome at the front desk when Omisha & Dasani are there. Richard in maintenance is friendly & helpful. The wait staff are very kind & the cleaning staff to the grounds keepers keep the community looking beautiful. Lenka, concierge at the front desk has been at the community since day one and she is an irreplaceable EXCEPTIONAL employee as she is very professional, supportive and helpful to all residents’ needs.

Chelsea of New City has both assisted living and memory-care sections. It is a lovely new place with numerous quiet sitting areas for conversation, pleasant staff and administrators, nice selections of food for meals in a restaurant-like dining room with helpful wait-staff. The apartments have large kitchenettes with standard-size refrigerators and sinks. The bathrooms are large and clean, with plenty of storage area, the large windowed bedrooms have walk-in closets. The elevators to the second and third floors are swift and quiet. With a doctor prescription, OT and PT are provided by professionals from a contracted agency. The OT/PT room has a variety of exercise equipment for use by the residents. Various events are offered throughout the day, with a movie in the comfortable theater each evening. The residents may keep pets in their apartments. There are several levels of care available, depending of the functioning level of the residents, but all residents have the clothes laundered and their apartments cleaned regularly. I’m very impressed with this senior living facility.

We met with senior staff at Atria New City today and were so impressed with their knowledge, interest and willingness to spend time with us learning about our brother. The staff is kind and always willing to help him. The focus, priorities and attention to detail are remarkable.

My father moved into Atria New City this past October. It was a big step to move from a house he lived in for many years, but he is very happy at Atria and my family and I are thrilled that he is living in such a beautiful, comfortable place with wonderful and caring people surrounding him. We are very impressed by the professionalism and sincere care provided by the entire staff. We know our father is happy, safe, and has all his needs attended to. We highly recommend Atria New City to anyone who is contemplating make a similar move.

My parents moved into the atria new city in august 2021 just one month after it opened. It was a difficult move for them coming from Florida. They had a hard time adjusting to apartment living after living in a house for over 20 years. Giving up their independence wasn’t also very difficult. I chose atria new city because of the proximity to my home as well as for the beautiful facility and everything it offered. Now that they have been there for a few months I have nothing but wonderful things to say. The staff has been amazing”-very warm, caring and supportive. I know my parents are in the right place!! When I’m not there visiting I am confident that my parents are in good hands and the staff has truly made them(and me) feel like part of their family!
