The Lighthouse of Chico deserves 10 stars! My 92-year-old mother-in-law has lived here for three years. The staff is top-notch, from the CNAs, to the med techs, to management (shout out to Ilona), to the wait staff and every role in between. My mother-in-law is wheelchair-bound and is treated with kindness and dignity. She enjoys meals in the dining room, arts and crafts, gentle stretching, music in the lobby, and holiday celebrations. I would like to individually recognize: L J (caregiver), Abbey (concierge), Jami (caregiver), and Brittany (med tech). L J is dedicated, knowledgeable, skilled, kind, always going above and beyond. He hugs and comforts people (including me). He is an angel on earth. Abbey wears many hats while fulfilling her responsibilities. She is remarkably helpful, in person and over the phone. Abbey is personable, trustworthy and authentic. I truly appreciate her. Jami spends the most time caring for my mother-in-law. Jami is soft-spoken, strong yet gentle, attentive, super efficient, and willing to help in any way. In fact, Jami assists my husband (also wheelchair-bound) when he visits his mother. Thank you, Jami. Brittany is smart, skilled, thorough, and compassionate. She carefully monitors medications. I appreciate that Brittany calls me with updates. What a valuable resource. In a nutshell, I highly recommend The Lighthouse of Chico!

It’s always clean, well-maintained, and welcoming the moment you walk in”you can tell they take a lot of pride in what they do. Illona, the Executive Director, clearly runs a tight ship”but in the best way possible. Her leadership shows in every detail. The staff is not only well-trained, but they genuinely care about the residents, creating a supportive and compassionate environment. One of the things that really impressed me is their activities program. They offer some of the best activities in Chico, keeping residents engaged, active, and happy. There’s always something meaningful and fun going on. I also appreciate that they partner with trusted community organizations like Comfort Keepers to provide additional 1:1 support when needed. That extra level of care and flexibility really makes a difference for residents and their families. Highly recommend The Lighthouse of Chico to anyone looking for quality care and a vibrant community!

I recently visited The Lighthouse at Chico and had the opportunity to speak with Scott and Jessica. When searching for a good assisted living facility it's hard to know what questions to ask sometimes. They made the visit very easy by being so friendly and welcoming and I had the chance to talk to a couple happy residents as well. Changes in living situations can be difficult, but the comfortable rooms, that amazing view of the lake, the good food and the caring staff help make those decisions so much easier. I appreciated the visit!

I recently attended a mixer event at Windchime of Chico a senior living community and I wanted to take a minute to share how beautiful and resort like the actual facility is and I've visited many and then mostly rave about the amazing inviting staff there! Renee Vaughn the Marketing Director invited me and organized a beautiful holiday themed feast for everyone and set something up where you had chance to win a prize and pick out of a handful of giftbags. All of their leadership team came out to welcome myself and my visitors and introduced themselves despite their busy schedules. They were all so kind and outgoing and engaging. They took time to listen to me about what company I work with and why I was there and seemed genuinely happy to see me. They all gave me their cards and said feel free to contact them which is rare because most of the time you never get to see whose working behind the scenes because of their gatekeepers and if you can get to them u mostly never their contact info to reach back out. I feel like this goes miles to show these are real people working diligently and confidently with nothing to hide no alternative agendas besides to do the job they are paid for to give kind, attentive, personal care to the residents, their vendors partners, and visitors. Their website is a place for mom and I can say its fitting because of the places I have been nothing feels like checking in at home like Windchime of Chico! 5 stars from me!

MOne of the best facilities I've seen. The staff there took great care of my mother during her 4-1/2 year stay. Each time I visited her, I was warmly greeted by the front desk person who knew me by name. They were always good about informing me about things happening with my mother. They have a wide variety of activities to keep busy and promote socialization. My mother was very happy and made a lot of friends there. They helped make my mom's final years peaceful.
