My experience is not long. I am here only four days. The room is perfect. But they don’t have my medication from pharmacy, and they don’t agree to give me my medication. I understand, they are responsible for my life. It’s holiday season. But the patient needs medication no matter holiday or week days. I am a 9/11 Survivor. I think I have to have a better understanding. I’ve tried to convince the doctor to make a favor. Finally they called the emergency . Thanks the emergency staff for making me feel better. It should be an urgent doctor who can help. They gave the Hippocrates wow to help people with mental illness as well! All the medical staff was very rude to me at the time I was not feeling well. And they mentioned that the Assisted Living is not for sick people. I promised to call our Senator to explain the situation. Hope that the old and alone patients will not have my experience . The doctors and nurses have to realize that we , sick people feed them, and they should be for us with respect and compassion.

Im writing to say what a wonderful time I had being a vendor at the 1st annual farmer's market! There was so many great vendors with a variety of items. AnnMarie did such a wonderful job setting everything up and made sure everyone was up to date due to the rain rescheduling the market. I cant wait to do the next event!

Staff was friendly when I participated in a Farmers Market there. AnnMarie Maddalena-Mannino was especially helpful, directing vendors to make it all run smoothly. Love that food purchases were also donations to Alzheimer’s Association.

My mom has really improved since arriving to Sunrise. The beautiful dining room - fabulous meals (so delicious ) lovely dining staff - plus activites each day that are fun and interesting- with Terri and Courrtney - weekly trips- and medical care thats great - it has been a life saver. Beth is an amazing communicator and problem solver. The housekeeping staff, Linda is so kind and thorough- Maria, the care staff is so kind- my mom is really made to feel like a rock stars there and I am so grateful. Many more people help make Sunrise a beautiful and caring place to live.

My daughter and I toured this location for my mother-in-law. It was exceptional. Clean, open, friendly/family like atmosphere. Only drawback is it is completely private pay. If we could afford to do it, it would be the place for her, unfortunately at this time it is not possible. But would highly recommend it. Donna was great and gave us all of the information that we needed.

After a 20-year career devoted to seniors, 17 of them in assisted living, my professional experience became personal when my sister needed post-rehab care. Though I was well acquainted with the high standards of Sunrise Senior Living and knew many of its dedicated staff members, I now see firsthand how it earned such a fine reputation. These are some highlights: Beth Chevere, Assisted Living Coordinator, is outstanding! She is the oil that keeps things running smoothly and the glue that keeps everything together. the employees are a cohesive team residents are treated with compassion and respect the nursing staff is excellent the Road Home transitional program is a blessing the accommodations are attractive and clean the food is delicious I love my big sis and want the best for her. I certainly found it at Sunrise in Sheepshead Bay.

The facility and care at Sunrise at Sheepshead Bay are pricey but it's worth the extra cost. The facility itself is immaculate, the staff are kind and helpful and the administrators are understanding. When we were having some financial difficulties in keeping up with the payments, the Executive Director sent us an application for Extra Help for seniors from the State and it worked! The benefit amount is enough to keep Dad where he is and we do not have to disrupt his living situation which is ideal. I try to keep up with State entitlements and I had never heard of this one. We are SO thankful to Sunrise and the State of New York!

My Mom has been a resident and I have to say Sunrise has godsend. From the beginning the safe has not only received my mom great but the rest of my family. They have been very flexible and patient with her transition and really taken her in as a family. With the activities they provide it has helped my mom more than we could have ever imagined. Management has addressed any issue that arose as well as provided follow-up to ensure things are going well. As I leave out-of-state, when I call, they direct me to her or lets me know when to call back. So just want to really say THANK YOU!

Wonderful facility! The folks at Sunrise really care about the people who live there. I always felt like they were genuinely interested in my mother's well-being and happiness. They were extra attentive during Covid; bringing games and little gifts to my mom to keep her engaged during lockdowns. Highly recommend!

The most important issue for me is the confidence of knowing that my family member who resides at Sunrise is well cared for. I have that confidence. They are very prompt in notifying me of any medical issues and it is clear that this is a policy of the organization. They are usually well into solving those types of problems before they call me. My family member is very happy with the quality and quantity of the food, and is very complimentary about the enrichment programs.

It has been my privilege to be living here for the past 10 months. Not only are the staff kind and compassionate, they keep the place immaculate and they take many preventive measures to ensure the residents are safe from COVID19. The activities run by Julianna are fun and keep us on our toes and we are continuously learning new things everyday. It is very "homey", I love the community dogs Lilly and Leroy. I am proud to call this my home, and anyone considering moving in a loved should rest easy; they will love it and be very happy.

Trying to help a friend right the wrongs & the neglect his elderly Mom receives, she is 95, is ludicrous. Steer ear of this place until they fix the plumbing, the excuse they give to the family of why her bathroom shower does not work! Fixing the plumbing for months now
