My husband was not receiving the care he needed at a different memory care. I visited The Mansion at Waterford memory care and fell in love with it. They only have 20 residents and the ratio of caregivers to residents is 5-1. That is sooooo much better than where he was. Valerie was so kind when I showed up unexpectedly and she took the time to answer all my questions and gave me a tour. We were fortunate that 1 residence was available and he moves in soon. The residents were happy and smiling as were the employees. Where he has been, people seldom smile. I’m very grateful for the kind people and how helpful everyone has been. If you are looking for a wonderful memory care for your loved one, you need to tour The Mansion at Waterford. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful community inside and out. I work in the senior living industry and have placed multiple families into this community. Valerie is an amazing sales Director and really takes the families under her wing. Scott makes things so flexible for the families when getting situated when moving in. Tonight, again, she’s just needing water she can’t get for herself, pushes her necklace button for help and they just turn it off and don’t come. It’s infuriating. Either for water or help to the bathroom, they don’t come. They rarely do what they say they’re going to do. My mom goes days without her phone being charged so we can call her. The front desk says they’ll send someone, they often don’t. Since this negative review some attentiveness has improved. The nurse administrator arranged for home health recently, which I appreciate. They haven’t looked after mom very well until we complained. Dr Kablin is the house doctor for multiple elderly living facilities in Oklahoma City and doesn’t have the time for everyone I assume. Billing the medical for hundreds of residents you can’t always see must be a sweet deal. Mom’s ankle was fractured when water spilled into her lift chair remote and dumped her to the ground. She was transported to Mercy Hospital but the house doctor never followed up, check her low oxygen or help getting her to the specialist to follow-up. After a few weeks we took her ourselves and it was too late for surgery if she had needed it. Still no oxygen had been ordered. Now they have dropped Humana insurance on us and we’re scrambling to get her care there. That’s the extent of her medical care. To her credit the nurse admin just arranged a home health company who takes Humana to treat her bed sores, thank you. Until taking my complaints public they promised nicely but failed to follow through. I see that she’s trying now. They are supposed to occasionally mop her floor or at least sweep: they don’t. A girl goes through with a duster and leaves. Her toilet ALWAYS has dried poop stuck in it because they won’t fix the water level or flow. EDIT: since going public this has might have improved. Mom cannot stand any longer due to her osteoporosis, incontinence and now balance issues. She can’t go to the toilet on her own so it mostly stays clean. They have lost almost all of her expensive gowns from her former life. They’ve lost all of her dry pads and cute tops and shirts we’ve bought her. Some aides are nice, the management are liars I guess because they NEVER follow through. Again, NEVER follow through or keep their word. I have a case for elder abuse and neglect. They did call when I wrote this review, about this review and addressing my concerns. I think there is a training problem and perhaps a turnover in aides. I want them to succeed. We need to be able to rely on their help to look after mom while we work to provide for our own retirement and prepare a place for mom to live the rest of her days with us. We couldn’t manage without the $6,000 per month in rent and services we pay them to perform. It has a good name and location near the most wealthy area of the city, but don’t let that fool you. You will need to put the lotion on your mom’s feet when they’re dry. She hates the food so we bring her meals but she can’t prepare them. There are always stand out heroes God provides and I’m forever grateful for them. Please know who you are. You will need to visit often not just to say I love you, but to check if they’re dehydrated and call attention to it. If they have sores, an infection, if their laundry is done, and prepare for their clothes to be lost. To get something done complain publicly.

The facility was beautiful, although I will mention that one of the uprights on the canopy when you come in was totally loose and I just wanted to mention that there was a terrible strong urine smell on the third floor as you got off the elevator and back

This is a wonderful facility. The staff is great and helpful, and always in good spirits. They take very good care of an old church member of ours. We are so happy that we can rest assured that he is being taken care of so well. It’s always a pleasure visiting. We are also thankful for the good security they have for checking in and out.

The staff are really nice and always very helpful. Waterford is very clean, smells nice, and is a comfortable place to visit with everyone being very friendly. The residents seem to be well cared for and loved while being served from the staff in a kind way. The safety seems to be top notch as we have to sign in upon every visit.

We had to find a place that could take care of my 99-1/2 year old WWII Uncle after his younger sister died suddenly! The Mansion was the perfect place that could provide him with the level of care he needed to remain as independent as possible. A fantastic facility and caring staff helped us and him make this his home through his 100th Birthday and then the peaceful end-of-life. He was proud to call this his home and we are grateful that he spent his last year and months at such a fantastic facility!

A wonderful home community in OKC. Everyone who lives and works here is special! The entire staff from A to Z are there to assist the residents in having a loving and meaningful life when times aren’t always easy. The meals are delicious, the care is excellent, the medical staff is always on top of it, and it’s always a beautiful day at the Mansion when you call the front desk. It is really a beautiful environment with wonderful residents and a staff that goes above and beyond to show care and kindness.

My uncle Charles lived here for the remainder of his life, and I can't say enough positive things about this place. The staff is incredibly caring and treats the residents like family. The team at the Mansion is attentive to every detail, from maintaining the building to providing excellent medical care. They even offer daily activities to ensure that residents who are unable to leave the community have plenty to do. This is a wonderful and trustworthy place for your loved one to call home.

My mom was seated with several ladies that didn’t talk. Cognitively they were not as sharp as her. My mom is very social and she’s going to need to sit with some women she can talk to. I left pretty sad for her, and wanting to put her in the car with me and take her home. I know it’s only her second day, but it was sad. Also she wants to go to morning exercise class. Is there someone that can take her to devotional time and exercise time until she establishes a routine? When we decided to move her here I thought she would love going to happy hour, devotional time, and exercise time, sadly none of that has happened yet.

Although it seems exquisite when you first walk in as you pass the doors to no return for the patients and the fact that cost so much every month it smells horrible and the rooms are not well taken care of and it seems like there's no one there hardly for the patients at least every time I've there. I personally think it's extremely overrated!!!

When my father was in need of a place for the end of his life, I wanted quality, kindness, attentiveness, responsiveness, affordability, and to see residents loved, smiling, and interacting. The Mansion at Waterford met all of those things and more, like the wonderful food. I live in another state and the staff made it easy to stay in touch with my father and provided daily communication and even pictures. When one faces the trials and the difficulty that comes with placing their loved one in assisted living, there are so many emotions and realities to face. You can be assured that the reality of this place is as written here. I miss this place after my father passed and plan to go and see some of the residents and the staff on my next visit to the area. Oh and the area, this is located in a nice area of the city with most everything you need nearby. Thank you for everything!

This place has made some major improvements! And we can not say enough about it. My grandmother is very content and says she feels this is the perfect place for her. Staff go out of their way to meet each residents needs and bond well with them. My grandmother enjoys the activities that take place there. The management team stay involved which is a plus in my book. I’ve had lunch a few times there and they serve quality meals and the staff are always so friendly. The place is beautiful and we are so pleased. Thank you staff at The Mansion for making this facility so great!

This review is being written to help others who are in need of finding a safe, comfortable and beautiful place for a loved one and as a thank you to the wonderful team at TMW. The need to find assisted living was urgent and in the middle of the pandemic. Research began via a website called "A Place for Mom", as well as, the social workers at Mercy. That research lead us to Bill Muir and Jamie Spicer (Community Relations Manager at TMW). Of all the people we talked to in our efforts, Jamie took an hour(s) to walk us through the web of the long term care industry. She brought a humanity to the discussion and a great deal of compassion. She also stayed in touch for months while we were "thinking" about what to do. As a healthcare provider by training, I only knew about acute and not long term care. Bill showed our family numerous places. What set The Mansion apart was the people. Their expertise from the Directors of Nursing, both Kim Nightingale and Shandell Ledford to Dublin Stroud in the business office and Sarah Ochoa who performed several miracles that were important for our family. There were many who cared for mom and we thank you. Unlike hospitals and health systems, long term care facilities do not have shared electronic medical records for families to help provide or receive information regarding their loved ones. This is an area in which Milestone Retirement, parent company to TMW, can revolutionize and improve long term care. The Mansion staff eagerly helped to overcome the communication challenges through their email system. Two other important and positive aspects of The Mansion is both their "aging in place" philosophy (we discovered how critical this was for mom) and a transparent fee structure. There were no surprises in this regard. Our only regret is that we did not investigate sooner so mom could have enjoyed more time at The Mansion at Waterford with all of the socialization, activities and friendships that were evident. It took a Village to help mom and the team at TMW were all in and gave us peace of mind.

Excellent residence! The apartments give the feeling of home. Staff go out of their way to meet each residents needs. They are always cheerful and kind. They know the residents. Activities occur everyday to keep residents engaged. Shopping trips and outings are available. Beautiful common areas and grounds. The management team of Jamie and Alex, are readily available and respond immediately to any inquiries relatives may have concerning the resident in a friendly manner. The Maintenance department is quick to assist with any need a resident may have whether hanging curtains, pictures, televisions or moving furniture. I am so grateful my mother-in-law is a resident here. We never have to worry about her care or safety. The food is excellent. The monthly fee is very reasonable and does not fluctuate if the resident needs more assistance. This is unique in the assisted living realm. The Mansion is a winner!

My husband and I have lived in the Assisted Living at the Mansions for a year and a half. We are very happy with the facilities, the help and the activities that helped get us involved within the community. We have made some great friends and used the lovely facilities to entertain friends and family. We used the "great room" for our 60th wedding anniversary. Use of the room, bistro kitchen and any needed supplies are free to residents. We had over 40 guests and the staff took care of all set up and tear down. It was a celebration to remember. We would recommend The Mansions to anyone looking for kind, compassionate senior living.
