I want to say the staff at Brookdale Palmer Ranch were wonderful and down to earth. They helped my mom transition well from Assisted Living to Memory Care. Brookdale wasn't so large that you couldn't get personal care when you needed it. The memory care staff in particular went above and beyond. The new memory care floor is very appealing, bright and cheerful. I highly recommend the memory care here. Hershel Caywood, the current director listened to my needs as a concerned daughter thoughtfully and carefully. He helped me through some challenges. I would say you could not find a better memory care staff.

I recently toured Brookdale Palmer Ranch for a community for my mom and dad. The sales manager Gail and sales professional Sandra and the entire staff, were so friendly and really cared about my parents needs. When the time comes to choose a community for my parents to live in, I am choosing Brookdale Palmer Ranch. The recently updated apartments were adorable. There was a lot of staff and I could tell they all loved what they were doing to assist each resident. I highly recommend this community and the prices were affordable.

Yeah lot of visitors I've been to a lot of nursing homes in this town and this one here is probably the best one no not probably it is the best one I've been to people are really polite and very professional and they care about their clients and patients more than any other places I've been to.

I arrived at the Brookdale Palmer Ranch Skilled Nursing Facility two weeks ago for medication management of intravenous antibiotics following septic shock. I was a little anxious because the last time I was in a facility of this type I was unhappy with the level of care and the facility. From the moment I arrived I was greeted warmly by the staff. The receptionist, Nancy, who was literally on her way out the door at the end of her shift, remained behind to ensure I was escorted to my room. Most of the patients there seemed to be memory care, elderly, some with dementia and several who were nonverbal. The staff was attentive to everyone's needs. They were not only pleasant but were genuinely friendly, compassionate and helpful. I had special dietary needs because of a weight loss program I am on (I've lost 135 lbs) and needed accommodations. The nutrition staff who are accustomed to putting weight on people did everything they could to assist me. Shout out to Ms. Nancy who sat with me and reviewed every meal for my duration AND checked in regularly. There was one mishap with nuts due to a recording anomaly on the menus which has since been remedied. Anything that comes up here (and there has been very little), a broken o-ring in the toilet, a spider in the bathroom (I'm allergic), the staff have jumped in and handled. People come genre and do their jobs. They genuinely and routinely show the compassion it takes to work with some if the most vulnerable (and often demanding) populations. I am so grateful that I landed here. It has been a frightening thing to get what took my mom (sepsis), but have a level of care she was not afforded. From the phone call I received in the hospital from Felicia in intake, to my extraordinarily dedicated nurse China Smith, and the other nursing and CNA staff, Beverly, Jeanette, Janelle, LaToya, Maggie, Max, and the tech with the beautiful thick curly hair who is always smiling, and is professional and helpful (I have forgotten her name), PT Maurice, Ray and OT Christine (I might have her name wrong), the environmental staff who greeted me daily with a smile and a singsong voice - such joy, and Ms. Maria who took me to shower and frequently checked on me throughout the day, Larry in Maintenance, who hadn't expected to be doing this work post retirement but does a great job and is so competent and reassuring! The administrative staff - Suzanne, your staff is fantastic! There are staff whose names I have forgotten but please attribute it to my head and not my heart. Clearly, these are people who take their time and who make an impact every day. You made me feel safe and cared for. I am so very grateful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope the company recognizes you (beyond a pizza lunch) and puts something extra in your paychecks because you deserve it!

My experience with Brookdale was great. My Mother in Law was there after she had a bad fall and went there for after care and general rehab. We researched several facilities in the area and were very happy we found Brookdale. The Staff were friendly and professional and nothing ever seemed like too much trouble for them. They genuinely seemed to care for her. The room itself was a home from home for her, nice kitchen and pleasant living area which came in handy when we all came to visit her.

The staff is under trained medications don't always come in when they're needed from the pharmacy and then they don't get to the patient until 3 hours late pain medication especially. There are highly understaffed two nurse texts not nurses but nurse texts for three hallways. I am not impressed.

We just recently moved a family member from Brookdale Palmer Ranch back to Texas, but I think it I important to share our experience. We had to get him admitted quickly because another facility that we had chosen fell through at the last minute. He is long term care. Arthur was incredibly kind and listened to our needs and was able to get him into a private room. He was there for 18 months. The skilled nursing staff is wonderfully caring. The patients are clean and well cared for. They have been short staffed at times, but overall his needs were met by caring individuals. There is not a lot of staff turnover, he had the same aids most of his stay there. The negatives? The food is "institutional style", as is most of these types of facilities. The departments don't communicate with each other it seems, but there is a care plan meeting monthly to discuss family or resident concerns. It is always clean and his showers were always on a timely schedule. The reason I really wanted to write this review is that I am hoping the management will recognize this. When he left by medical transport for the long ride back to Texas, ALL OF HIS AIDES, El, Becko, Heather, Carlos and a couple of others, walked him out of the building to the ambulance together, surrounding his stretcher. It made me cry when I heard that. That action symbolizes respect, trust and TRUE patient care. I hope they are acknowledged because they were all so sweet and respectful . With me and other family being out of state, I never had to worry that he was being cared for properly. I really just wanted to say Thank You to all of you. This is a difficult situation for families and you all made us feel like he was safe there and I cannot express to you how much this means. Thank You. God bless you all.

Brookdale Palmer Ranch is amazing. My dad is a new resident at Brookdale Palmer Ranch. Dad had back surgery, he moved into the rehab side for a few weeks during his recovery. After a successful stay in the rehab Area, Dad moved over to assisted-living. Dad was no longer able to live in his home independently. I thought we might have problems with the transition because dad was leaving a home that he lived in for 72 years. But, I was happily surprised. Dad loves his new home at Brookdale Palmer Ranch. He has gained weight, his mobility has improved, he's playing bingo and virtual bowling. I never thought I would see Dad playing virtual bowling. According to him, he is a great Bowler. He has also made friends with several residents, and he's learning everyone's names. All of the staff is kind and caring. From the first person that greets you at the door, staff in the dining room, the attendance that help dad shower, the nursing staff, and the front office are all wonderful. Dad is thriving. Thank you Brookdale Palmer Ranch family.

The right hand never knew what the left hand did or was doing. Unacceptable wait times for response to call button. 25 minutes was the average. Pushed the call button to get pain meds for a hospice patient, waited 25 minutes until aid showed up. She went to get nurse. Twenty minutes later I found another aid who went to get nurse. Ten minutes after that nurse comes in, says she has to check chart, comes back and says the patient can't have pain meds for another 2 and a half hours! Wait ... This is HOSPICE care? Right? Not in my book. The people weren't mean, just not responsive and ineffectual. When meeting with Dr and social worker they acted as though they didn't know the patient was end of life. More concerned with insurance coverage than care. The people that cleaned the room were the nicest most professional people there. That's the only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1.

Really wonderful place! The activities are engaging, creative and FUN for the Memory Care residents. They do community involvement with a local preschool that is great for both the young and young at heart. Awesome food and the cookies are really good! Caring and trustworthy!

My mom has lived here for a year. If you are looking for somewhere for a family member where they will feel cared for, known, understood this is the place for them to be. The hardest thing was having my mom have to live in assisted living, but she enjoys herself, has made connections, enjoys the space, and it makes me feel happy because even during the virus not one resident has been ill. They are working very hard to keep the residents safe. Not everywhere can say theyve been as successful. If I ever need assisted living, I would choose this place even for myself. I couldnt speak more highly of them the staff, the facility itself, theyre wonderful.

MY MOM HAS BEEN IN BROOKDALE PALMER RANCH FOR 3 YEARS AND IS ENJOYING HER TIME THERE AS BEST AS SHE CAN FOR A 94 YEAR OLD. SHE RUNS THE BINGO GAMES WHICH THEY PLAY EVERY DAY AND IT HAS GIVEN HER A SENSE OF PURPOSE. THE FOOD IS GOOD AND THEY HAVE LOTS OF ACTIVITIES FOR EVERYONE TO KEEP BUSY. I was at this rehab center for 10 days in Dec.2018, after a knee replacement. The care that I received was excellent. Someone was always ready to help me with whatever my need was even in the middle of the night. The staff at this facility is caring and friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The aides that I had helping me were amazing. My visitors were treated with kindness as well. the PT & OT that I received helped me be able to regain use of my knee in good time. the nursing staff always answered the call button quickly, . I will always recommend Brookdale at Palmer Ranch for anyone needing rehab.

I have been working for Brookdale since I was 17. It has taught me so much when it comes to caring for my elders and life itself. I never had the chance to meet both my grandma and grandpa so working here has definitely gave me just that and I couldnt be any more blessed. Ive helped many Brookdales around here and Palmer Ranch is the only one that has made me feel like Im at home with the staff i work with. This is basically my home and Im happy to share this because I make my residents smile just like they make me smile. 6 years with the company has been very great overall. Thank you to all the Palmer Ranch staff for being my second family. Our biggest priority is making sure we leave a smile one these residents face and thats what we do here at Palmer ranch.

The nursing staff is friendly and gives good care. BUT the food sucks. Often it is over cooked or under cooked and not edible.They should get food that elderly people might want to eat. They pay way too much to live here and cant eat the food.

The Rehabilitation Center has the most professional and caring staff. I was given a large private room and was given better care than I ever expected. The chef even came by to see if I was happy with the food. I was back on my feet and walking normally again in little more than a week. I highly recommend Brookdale.

Brookdale does not tolerate abuse of any kind. The staff are educated on what constitutes abuse and ways to report abuse before they are allowed any contact with our clients. They are also required on-going training throughout their employment. If this issue was brought to our attention I can assure you that it was dealt with.Doing rehab for longer periods of time can be detrimental to the resident. The healing process is unique to every individual. Our rehab department also has new staff, who are compassionate and knowledgeable. However, patients rights state that a patient may refuse service. I can guarantee that they were offered the ability to work with rehab, but if they refuse there is little we can do.We also have almost all new management. The new Executive Director is amazing and he is really doing wonderful things with the place. We have recently began remodeling all of our units and the place is looking great! We also recently hired a new Executive Chef. The residents are really enjoying their dining experience.We apologize that you were not pleased with your experience.
