The staff took the time to get to know my aunt as a person, not just a potential resident. Everyone was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and they answered every question we had. What stood out most was how warm and inviting the community felt. Residents were engaged, smiling, and interacting with staff who clearly care about them. It felt more like a family than a senior living community. Knowing my aunt would be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion gives me tremendous peace of mind. I don’t usually write reviews for companies or services, but I felt compelled to in this case. I’m currently searching for a place for my parent, and during that process I connected with Tiffany Diaz at Sunrise Senior Living. I had scheduled a meeting with her without realizing that my dad isn’t quite at the stage where assisted living is necessary yet. Even though it turned out not to be the right fit for us at this time, Tiffany still took the time to walk us through what to look for and offered thoughtful, practical advice on how to approach our search. She easily could have ended the conversation once it became clear we weren’t a fit right now, but instead she went above and beyond to help us. Her willingness to spend time guiding us, with no immediate benefit to herself, really stood out. People who genuinely go out of their way to help others deserve to be recognized. Tiffany did an outstanding job.

Let me tell you about this place... Sunrise of OP has exceeded our expectations in every possible way. From the moment you walk in, you can feel that this is a place where residents are genuinely cared for - not just housed. The staff is outstanding, compassionate, attentive, and consistently respectful. They take the time to truly know the residents as individuals, and it shows in the way they interact daily. Communication has been clear, and proactive, which provides tremendous peace of mind! Mr. Clean would approve with the cleanliness of this place. I highly recommend Sunrise of OP, this is an amazing community where you can feel your loved ones are well taken care of!

Highly recommend! We had a family friend at Sunrise of Overland Park, and our experience with the community was wonderful. The facility is clean and welcoming, and the area outside feels safe and quiet. The staff is incredibly attentive and observant, always respected her privacy while still being present enough to give us confidence she was safe and cared for. We also loved how sociable and uplifting the environment is. Tiffany is great ” the way she greets you and interacts with the residents truly makes it feel like home. Mom was only there for a few months but she loved it there. The staff treated her with respect and care. The facility was very well kept up and clean. I want to really call out how great the care givers Zena, Erica and Mohammed were during mom's final days. Also to Linda and Kristen who were very supportive and helpful. I enjoyed an Easter egg hunt this past Saturday at Sunrise of Overland Park! The community was beautiful and clean! Residents were happy, active and engaged in the games and interacting with the kids! Staff was very friendly and had a great time with everyone!

Sunrise seems to be very welcoming place. I Recently took my kids to their Easter egg hunt event. My wife, children and I all had a great time. There were many families that came out, staff was friendly and residents seemed to enjoy all of the activities. Ester the Easter Bunny was also a nice surprise.

A lifelong friend of mine was living there before his passing. This is the best facility that he was able to spend his final days in after trying a few others in the area. I’m so grateful for the staff and all the help he and I received during his time there. I was promised by a Mrs. S. Jackson that my friend was in the best care and that she would see to it that he was taken care of and I greatly appreciate everything that was done for him. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking to get quality care.

It's amazing how bad a place can get with the wrong leadership. Sunrise has changed for the worse over the past year. Ever since Any W. And Rhiannon left...the building has become a mess. Resident aren't being taken care of. The building can't keep no staff. Resident have moved out because the price increase. But service is awful. Dining department is terrible now that Marvin has left. The food choices they offer now is a joke. No one is happy. Corporate needs to look at the current Leadership ED. He is to young to lead this team and everyone keeps quitting What does that tell you? We moved our dad out months ago. But we stay in touch with sales and Marketing and other staff members. No one is happy. What a shame how one guy has ran this building into the ground . Corporate wake up and get rid of Cortez Jordan If you don't see the problem, you just don't care! I would not recommend Sunrise to anyone under this leadership

My father was in Sunrise of Overland Park and had a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and kind to everyone. The residents quickly became friends of my dad and our family. Finding a home for a family member is a very hard decision and Sunrise worked great for our family. Thank you to the staff!

My grandpa lived there, and got the greatest care, in the greatest facility, in his last days. The staff is honestly the best I've ever met. I know they've been a little understaffed as of late, but the people they hire are definitely the best of the best and I am so grateful for them.

I am an amputee, and after the loss of my husband of 53-years in December 2002, I hired an agency to find available assisted living. After I had a chance to review his recommendations, I felt Sunrise of Overland Park a good choice. I have been a resident here since February of 2003, and want to express my appreciation for the gentle care and understanding available from all who care for us, They listen to ideas, make every attempt to do what you ask of them and are always there for your needs. How blessed I am to receive the services of the kind and caring staff. They comfort me when I am sad. care for my physical needs and share laughter at the funny incidents. My little pup, Gina, who is so lucky to live with me is the best friend of all here, in particular those who slip here a puppy treat!!

My brother and I searched exhaustively to find the right assisted living facility for our Mother. After a year of her residence at Sunrise of Overland Park, we were discussing mom's status and we came to the conclusion that we both thought she was in better health now than the day she first came to Sunrise. The people are amazing caregivers which would lift anyone's spirits knowing that someone that is not family actually cares about you. The medical attention was superb and the food was delicious and plentiful. Our entire family is grateful for the care, respect and love she received while at Sunrise. We couldn't have made a better decision for our Mother.

For my dads 90 birthday the staff decorated above his dining chair. Balloons for him and multiple cards. One gal baked him a cake. They made his day so special for the times we weren’t with him.
