my name is Doris Cannon and I was a resident of Bickford Senior living in Champaign for a year. The home was very nice, and well maintained. If something broke down the repairs was fixed right away. The residents didn't have to do their laundry.The cnas washed , dried and put their laundry away. If you were sick the cna brought your food to your room.. The cnas vaccumed your floor and cleaned your bathrooms.The residents controlled their own heat and air. Our activites Director was Rebecca Weaver. Beca was in charge of our bus outings ,birthdays, all parties, etc. Beca was very good at her job.She would ask the residents what they would like to do. Alayshia Jones was our Head Nurse. On a scale of 1to10 I would rate her a 10.A.J.is a wonderful person and friend. she is a very caring and giving person. When I got sick, took care of me. She used her money to buy me food. She came to my room every few hours to check on me. there are 3 friends That I must give a shot out to . Latanya Walsh, Tylisha lee, and Samantha Gardner

Bickford is just big enough to have socialization without feeling like you are one of many and forgotten. The food is excellent and Rebecca really goes above and beyond to help. The building itself is nice and clean and the out door patios are lovely.

Bickford Senior Living is one of the more loving caring facilitys I have been in very long time. The activities director is absolutely amazing. She goes over and beyond for all of the seniors. The family advocate is very respectful, understanding and amazing. The new director knows how to get things done. I can see the difference and even fill the difference when I come in.

Bickford Senior Living provides a caring and supportive environment. The staff are attentive, and the residents’ needs are always a priority. I appreciate the teamwork and dedication shown every day & the activities is great within the facility. The Family Advocate goes above and beyond to support residents and their families. They are compassionate, patient, and always willing to help. It’s comforting to know there is someone who truly cares and keeps everyone informed. Also our activities director is wonderful! She keep residents involved, entertained, and socially connected every day

My mom was neglected here and upper management failed to give a proper answer or any sort of communication.

My mother-in-law is in Bickford’s memory care unit. She has been neglected in this facility. I have 24/7 recording of all activity in her room and days go by when no one checks on her except to bring in her meds. They do not clean her, so she’s suffered several UTIs. They rarely shower her. They do not help her groom. They do no activities with her. The facility smells of urine. The care staff speaks rudely to the residents. Multiple conversations with management and the corporate office have not yielded any improvements. This is elderly neglect without accountability.

This place is great. The d©cor is nice and cozy. The staff are friendly and attentive. The cafe had pretty good food, and the rooms are nice and your activities directors is hands down the best she takes so much dedication in her work.
