As a healthcare professional who visits many assisted living communities throughout Northern Virginia, I can honestly say that Spring Arbor of Leesburg consistently stands out. The leadership, clinical team, and overall culture of compassion are truly exceptional. What impresses me the most are the genuine moments of kindness that can't be taught--they simply come from caring individuals/employees/community partners. During one visit, I walked in to find Activities Director Molly giving residents manicures. It wasn't a scheduled event for show; it was simply a thoughtful act of kindness that brought smiles and dignity to the residents. On another visit to the Cottage, I watched Patrick from the activities team prepare residents for lunch by personally going to each resident with a warm washcloth to gently wash their hands before the meal. I thought that was such a compassionate gesture. I've also noticed his attentiveness to each resident's unique behaviors and mannerisms, always meeting them with patience, dignity, and genuine care. The clinical leadership is equally impressive. Director of Nursing Afua and Cottage Manager Stacy provide such personal, attentive care that it is genuinely touching to witness. Their relationships with the residents are built on trust, compassion, and a sincere commitment to treating each person as an individual. It is evident that they know their residents well and are deeply invested in their well-being. Every visit begins with a warm welcome from Kimberly and Max at the front desk, and Executive Director Erika leads with professionalism, warmth, and a collaborative spirit that is reflected throughout the entire community. Erika has an open door policy and it's so nice to see how engaged she is in every aspect of the resident and employee life at Spring Arbor. My mother loves living at Spring Arbor. She had been living alone after daddy passed and the move to Spring Arbor has increased her quality of life. She is constantly engaged in challenging and fun activities, she receives healthy, well, balanced meals, her laundry and housekeeping are taken care of for her. The staff truly cares for her and desires to meet her needs. In our family, we joke that this experience is somewhere between that of life on a cruise ship and a life in college dorm. I am not saying that everything is always perfect. But any issue we’ve encountered has been taken care of with care and efficiency. Momma resisted for a couple of years wanting to stay at the house that she and daddy had called home. But it is not uncommon on any given day for her to look at me and say, I’m really glad I moved here.

All of the staff are so engaging with my mother and any of us who visit. They are thoughtful and have fantastic energy for all. The rooms and common space are very well cared for and are of good quality. Lastly the active event calendar they have for everyone is amazing. There is so much diversity and variety.

I have been visiting Spring Arbor of Leesburg weekly with my therapy dogs since 2015, I found the community when we were looking for a place for my mom. The staff is kind, caring, and vigilant which makes for happy residents. There are a variety of engaging programs offered, it seems like there’s always something fun going on when we’re visiting. The facility is beautiful, offering both assisted living and memory care. We always look forward to our visits!

Several months ago I was invited to bring my creative aging programs to residents at Spring Arbor. As Founder and Creative Director of Art Together, I was very excited to be asked to come to this particular community because I had already heard so many good things about the care here from several of my other local clients and friends! One of my longtime friends is currently a resident here and she also says she is very happy living in this community. As a teaching artist specializing in creative engagement for seniors of all ability levels, I love that Spring Arbor has two dedicated art making spaces that are so spacious, well lit and have everything we need within them. I also think that the outside spaces are just wonderful - both the front porch but also the garden in the backyard that is accessible for residents in Memory Care. It's so important to have access to good light and fresh air - as well as opportunities to be outside with nature - feeling the warmth of the sun, touching and smelling plants and flowers, even seeing insects and gardening a bit for those who like helping things grow! One of the things I really like about the design of the building is that residents have many different communal spaces that they can go to, which is a big amenity and rarity in such a small community. It's also very beneficial when friends and family come to spend time with their loved ones. During my visits as a visitor over several years and now as a service provider, I notice the caring way the staff interacts with the residents, the cleanliness of the spaces, the beautiful well lit rooms, the commitment to lifelong learning, as well as staff dedication to soliciting resident feedback and suggestions. The care team, Activity Director and Executive Director make me feel more than welcome - they truly value what I bring to their community - which are opportunities for residents and family members to connect, create and celebrate the gifts of their creativity (sometimes newly discovered or rediscovered!) together. And I truly value the staff I have the privilege to work with - they are fun, engaging and super supportive! I love watching the staff in how they encourage the residents to go out of their comfort zones to come to my classes - and then share their joy at what they were able to accomplish because they lovingly convinced them to try. It's so beautiful to behold such shared joy! I highly recommend Spring Arbor for your consideration.

I recently was invited by Erika Young to come to Spring Arbor of Leesburg to facilitate a LEGO Serious Play session with the residents. I've done dozens of these events in the DC Metro area and found the staff of Spring Arbor to be AMAZING! They encouraged and assisted the residents as they connected the LEGO bricks together and cheered every model they created. It is rare to see the staff so engaged with their residents and so happy to see them so engaged! The staff also made me feel like family from the moment I arrived and one of the staff members even guided me back to the correct area after I got lost in the building after retrieving an item I had left in my car! I was sad when the session ended as I loved every single moment I was at Spring Arbor of Leesburg and I hope to return again!

As a geriatric care manager I have always loved Spring Arbor. The leadership in committed to their residents and staff. The care givers do special things for the residents- like a cup of coffee in the morning, wraps for leg edema, walks and talks outdoors, and Susan B. even cut hair when needed during the pandemic. Creativity and kindness go into celebrating life: the changing of the seasons, holidays, birthdays... When issues emerge, they are quick to address them. Most of all they believe it takes a village and they welcome collaboration for the benefit of their residents.

Spring Arbor shatters any and all stereotypes I ever had about assisted living facilities. Spring Arbor is better than we could have hoped for and exceeds all of our expectations in every way possible. The team is truly superb. Attentive, professional, kind, respectful, generous, patient, experienced...I need a thesaurus to do justice! After six months, we are MORE impressed than ever. The ONLY reason to check out other facilities in the area is to enable you to have a full appreciation for the superior home that Spring Arbor provides. The food is GOOD. REALLY good! And the personal attention in catering to each and every resident's individual requests and desires is unparalleled. The daily care is gentle and thoughtful, well-trained and friendly. The individual offerings of activities are extremely organized and well executed. The facilities staff is "five star." The surroundings both inside and outside are clean, well maintained, attractive, and appealing ---an attractive and welcoming ambiance.

Spring Arbor of Leesburg is an assisted living facility located off 7 business in Leesburg, VA. From the initial appearance it looks like a well-maintained building surrounded by trees and slightly off the road, which gives it a traffic free driving experience. A facility equipped with modern amenities and a professional staff. On my visit, I went to the cottage located behind the main building. I was greeted by a friendly staff member who provided some insight to the facility, the staff and overt all layout of the floor plan. I found the rooms to be large and spacious and also well-maintained. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing in the lounge area that at first glance one souks confuse for a ballroom with plenty of space. The corridors were very light in color proving a pleasant balance for day and night time activities. What I should mention too, is the staff size in the evening - very large, made up of 5 or 6 personnel that I could observe. However, I have seen some institutions with less, so I was impressed that the ratio to resident was this high. Pleasant place for the debits in our community.
