I could never leave enough kind words for the care that my father received at the Gardens. The staff were incredibly compassionate and attentive to my father's needs. The staff were extremely professional and gave him excellent care. The office staff went above and beyond to help us any way we needed it. The property is maintained beautifully. My father was a picky eater, yet he enjoyed the meals that were prepared at the Gardens. They offer a variety of activities there, my father really enjoyed the Father's Day barbeque. There aren't enough kind words to thank the staff for the excellent care and compassion my father and family received. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for caring, compassionate, professional staff and a well maintained property for their families needs. We are forever grateful for the excellent care my father received.

My mom broke her hip and had a partial hip replacement. After few days in the hospital, she was transferred to Gardens at Northridge. This facility is one of the best care places ever. It’s very clean and all the nurses who took care of my mom were amazing. The physical therapy and rehabilitation my mom was given was also amazing. My mom was given her own room by a wonderful person Caroline, who arranged the room for my mom. I highly recommend Gardens at Northridge for anyone who needs a rehab after surgery. They are very caring and it’s such a well kept and clean facility and does not have a bad odor as some of these rehabs have. They are very attentive to the patients needs and give them the best care to help them get better and recover. The only complaint I have, is they are kind of short-staffed in the evenings. Other than this, it’s a great place for rehab and everyone is very kind and patient and caring. They made my mom feel like she was at home and very comfortable. I highly recommend this place for your loved ones. From a scale of 1 to 10, I definitely give it a 10. I will be recommending Gardens at Northridge to anyone who is looking for a great rehab after surgery. My mom was so pleased with the care she received, that when it was time to leave, she cried and was so grateful to everyone who helped care for her from the nurses to the therapist to all the staff. Thank you Gardens at Northridge. We will forever be grateful to you. God Bless ™

The Gardens at Northridge is a wonderful place, and we will be forever in its debt. We brought our 97-year-old mother here after she broke a hip for the third time. From the moment she arrived, the care was superb. The large and well-trained staff treated her as if she were a member of their family. From the administrators through the medication specialists through the wound nurses through the nursing assistants, the Northridge team was warm, totally professional and extremely patient. Pain management was excellent, and the nursing assistants were always available to ensure our mother’s comfort. The physical therapy and occupational therapy is outstanding, and again, very patient. They tailored their routines to our mother’s capabilities and always exhibited the utmost warmth and care. My brother and I were overprotective of our mother, and we could leave at the end of the day knowing she was in a caring and completely safe environment. I cannot recommend the Gardens highly enough.

The Gardens of Northridge has truly been a blessing for our family. Since my aunt moved there, she has absolutely thrived. She’s more social, more engaged, and genuinely happy. She’s made many friends and feels part of a real community, which means the world to me. There is always something going on”plenty of activities, social events, and opportunities for residents to stay active and connected. It’s clear that the staff genuinely care and put a lot of thought into creating a vibrant, enriching atmosphere. This is not just an assisted living facility”it’s an incredible community. I’m so grateful knowing my aunt is in a place where she feels at home. I highly recommend The Gardens to anyone looking for assisted living.

Gardens at Northridge community continues to impress me on every level. The accommodations are truly above standard; spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. It is very hard to find communities like this, so I am very excited to talk about this one because is definitely the BEST! Everything is exceptionally clean and well organized, which gives families great peace of mind. I want to give special recognition to the nurse I had the pleasure to be in contact with, nurse Cinthia has such excellent customer service. She consistently goes above and beyond, showing genuine care, patience, and professionalism. Her warm personality and attentiveness make a huge difference, and my family and I are incredibly grateful for the care she provides. The food here is also absolutely delicious as well. It’s clear that quality and nutrition are a priority. This community excels in care, comfort, and service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place where their family members will truly be cared for. Thank you all and blessings.

Highly impressed by this senior facility. I was there for their luncheon to carefully and meticulously look for a senior home for my grandmother. I was welcomed by very friendly and kind staff. First, their facilities are very well-kept and home-likeand the luncheon was well-organized and put together. I met a couple of the employees - Nurse Cinthia is very professional and knowledgeable. She is empathetic and understanding. Our conversation definitely helped me make a decision about having my grandmother at this facility. Choosing a senior home is not easy for me and Cinthia made me feel comfortable and that my grandmother would be in amazing hands. I was also highly impressed by their maintenance director who was very respectful, professional, and helpful. Overall, I would most definitely recommend this to anyone who like me, is looking for a senior home for their loved ones.

We love the general staff at the Garden! We have had problems with the kitchen not bringing cutlery on the tray and not accepting menus for in room service, but otherwise we are very satisfied with the facility. They are taking good care of my mom and we are pleased with the friendliness and responsiveness of everyone on the staff. The Gardens provides good value for the money.

Totally pissed at this facility. I spent several months getting my mom set up after a few visits, a deposit, paperwork, and numerous days on the phone and in person talking to them about my moms needs! So they send someone over to evaluate her and then say they will call me back. Well no call back, so i call and they tell me that they cannot take her due to her needs. They already knew what all her needs were, so here i am now that i wasted all this time with this facility and no place to take my 100 year old mom. You should be ashamed of yourselves for what you did.

I only wish I'd found the Gardens sooner. From the moment I pulled into the lot everything felt calm and organized. The staff were kind and the grounds were beautifully maintained. I've had to find a place for different people in my life to live, and the Gardens at Northridge met every condition on my list. Caring staff, constant activity and socialization, very nice rooms and a safe, private outdoor area for the residents to enjoy some sunshine and garden, or walk, or just sit and smell the flowers. Competitively priced and animal friendly.

I gave advance notice I was going to pick up my wife from memory care for our anniversary to make sure she wasn’t first fed dinner. Now that she’s also in hospice it emphasizes that these events and anniversaries are likely her last, making each that much more precious. When I arrived to get her the caregivers were finishing applying make-up to her: eyeliner, lipstick, etc. They looked almost disappointed when I arrived before they finished, wanting it to be a complete surprise. They were so sweet, and my wife looked great! Esmerelda and the staff there really stepped up on their own initiative to show so much love and attention for us and our evening, I was really touched. The staff was happy for us and their care to make the evening special was beyond thoughtful. I cannot properly express my gratitude, thank you so much!

My mother has lived at the gardens of Northridge for almost 4 months. All of the staff are wonderful. My mother has made so many new friends. I can hear it in her voice that she looks forward to the day, Either playing the piano and singing, singing with the pianist that comes in to entertain, playing bingo every day, or even just socializing with her friends. Not to leave out my mothers en suite/apartment she told me she feels like she’s in her own beautiful bedroom in a castle. Those are her words.

Initially we were greeted by Neil J. and then introduced to Karen D. Karen gave us a tour of the facility because Neil was busy. Two caretakers were waiting at the first room model to greet us. A lovely touch! Neil joined us to complete the tour and go over the details of residency. We were so impressed with everything we made the decision to move my mother in. She had a choice of a few rooms and is completely satisfied with her choice. It is also nice to know that if and when the time comes they also have a skilled nursing facility she can move into.

I highly recommend Brookdale! My mom is 91 years old and had her elbow reconstructed. She was at another skilled nursing facility which was horrific. I could not tolerate the place where she was at! I quickly search and found Brookdale literally in my area. Eden (administrator for skilled nursing) admitted her promptly. Cheryl the social worker was top of her game. Anna the nurse and Lee the nurse were wonderful! There are so many people who I do not know their names but there are a blessing! The facility is clean, sterilized and the food was superb. Brookdale is caring and loving place. I highly recommend Brookdale!!!

My dad was there for 6 short weeks he went from OK to death 2 to death and under your care He fell several times was jaundice but was never told to my mother that he had felt fallen. My dad was a World War II veteran hero. You did not treat him with respect or care for him in the 6 short weeks weeks he was there. When I came to visit him on the 15th of May he was screaming murder I'd never heard my father scream like that my whole life I'm 60 years old he was crying out loud being abused. My mother and I came in I was able to finally calm him down with my mother's touch and my rubbing on his shoulder my dad was scared for his life. My father's fell several times but you were either unable to or did not respond to and did not tell my mother he fell which is abuse he fell several times he was bruised from the bottom of his knees all the way up to the middle of his back purple, It's not to mention you you tied him down you held him down his wrist or had purple On purple on blue on purple on red almost bleeding where you had restrained my father. You should be ashamed of yourself and you should never do that to an American hero like my father who was born in 1924 fought World War II for this country only to die, We pulled him out of there on May 17th where he died shortly after on May 21st when he left your facility he was able unable to speak eat drink and he was jaundice he had not eaten in A-day and a 1/2 you never inform my mother of this. My father deserves the best care and you guys abused hurt him I'd never heard my father scream so loud on the 15th in all the years I've known him for 58 years I'm 60 my dead nerrying shed a tear with that day he was scared death, We were not allowed into the facility because they roll your patients out to the front where you could visit them another falsity of coronavirus but this day was extremely cool they let us in their mistake mistake Upon entry I heard somebody screaming screaming like I'd never heard before I told my mother at the time I said oh my God it's that dad's Room I said his roommate is suffering When I came in close to if I value it what was happening I realised that was my dad's voice and I became very aggressive and I went in to see what was happening it was my father. He was screaming like I've heard nobody else's scream it sounded like a banshee and pain like he was being slaughtered he cried like I'd never heard my father ever in my life. My mother and I approached him I rubbed his back while my dad my mom rubbed his hand we got him settled down they were able to push him out into the visiting Room that we were never allowed to visit before. At this time my dad says you don't understand what's going on you just don't know my dad was incoherent he was hurting but he had moments of clarity he said my mom asked him is this from your followed home which happens 6 weeks earlier. My dad said you guys don't know I'm not a child I'm not a child and I don't lie II you just don't understand what's going on at that point I told my mom something's going on and I looked down at his wrists he was bruised from his wrist To his armpits He had sleeves on so they could cover up his bruises. I will never forget my dad's screams for help when he'd never done that in his whole life even through World War II it was born in 1924 and he dies, Thank God we brought him to Holy Cross hospital in Mission Hills San Fernando Valley where we could put him on morphine for once he was struggling and after 3 days, My dad died not suffering anymore because we finally relieved him of all may I say that the last 2 days Is at Brookdale Northridge was the last time my dad said any words to us to acknowledge us after that he never ate he never talked they couldn't feed him and he was chaundous when my mother went back the next day we ordered to get him out of there to save his life he went to Holy Cross he never regained consciousness he died on the 21st of May. My family and I are heartbroken about the care he was received from this place that was so called a care unit. Please don't ever send your your loved ones to this place Brookdale in Northridge it's a sure fire death and they don't give a care about It's those most precious to us that we sent in their care because they say they're gonna do the right thing and take care of them my father was abused he was bruised from head to tail. Only God knows what happened but you know what, even god frowned on that day. I beg you never send your loved ones to that hellhole in Northridge Brookdale it's a death sentence. No we wish we would kept dad at home or we could have loved dawn for another 6 weeks and had had our time with him took care of him made sure he was not in pain and loved on him but he was tortured and abused in this place called Brook Dale Northridge, Please don't trust this place to leave your love ones we made the grave mistake is grave mistake. God-bless you all my name is Kenneth John bowling junior my dad is Gerald Gerald G litz. He was my hero he was a good father grandfather great grandfather a hero of World War II. And my mother's greatest love they had a love like no other, Please don't subject your loved ones to the death sentence my dad was given at Brookdale Northridge, California

For long term care it is very good. My friend of 30years was there three years ago and had exceptional care. The staff is wonderful, Food.. okay, clean and in a nice setting. HOWEVER, three years later she had a serious accident with her scooter, and returned to the same site in Camerio, that is when the head of the facility showed his true nature. Short term stay'd are not welcomed, and although she was due for another surgery they forsef her to return home where no care was established and she was to return only after she had the surgery? None of this was made clear so she could arrange for help... Why push her out the door when she was to return directly after surgery? I met the director he was rude and demeaning to this aged woman who had no other help or transportation. All they wanted was her bed to fill it with a long term patient?!

Dad has been there for nine months and loves it. He feels so welcome and included that he says they are his family. At 97 years old, he was hesitant about leaving his home of 66 years. But, after a week he said "make it happen" and became a resident. One word of warning, the food is great, so he has to really watch his weight. The staff is outstanding.

The experience was made so much easier by the warm and caring staff. Their rehabilitation team and nursing team are excellent! The food was tasty with lots of options and the grounds are lovely and "home-like". Mom was always comfortable throughout her stay which included managing her diabetes. Our loved one lives at Brookdale Northridge, Memory Care. She has a beautiful room with her furniture and all her memories around her. Her caregivers keep her busy with events such as concerts and lectures. There is a hair salon that she enjoys. They have dining areas where she is served good meals of her choice. When we visit her the caregivers provide us with a welcoming, loving atmosphere. Most of all they provide her with constant excellent care, and they provide us with peace of mind when we are unable to be with her. We love Alamary and staff!

Brookdale Northridge Review From the time we were welcomed on our first tour of the Brookdale Northridge facilities and throughout my mother's stay in the Skilled Nursing unit, we were impressed with the professional and caring nature of everyone. Nimisha Tomar was there in the beginning to help answer questions and make sure our transition from another facility was easy and assistance was available. Nimisha would check up on us periodically and assist in anything we might need. Along with Kristis Serris who made us feel welcome from the beginning, they were helpful and professional throughout our stay. Carolina Chapman, Director of Social Services is as charming as she is professional. She is friendly and warm and takes all her responsibilities seriously. Carolina makes time to assist with personal needs for the residents and was helpful with introductions to private care services for my mother. We have been extremely happy with the recommendations she had for us and appreciate all her care. Sara Estrada, Manager of Food Services makes everyone feel special. She is warm and caring with all the residents and looks after everyone as if they are her family. The nursing team is professional and high qualified. On our day of arrival the nurse took the time to review all medications and the proper times for them to be administered during the day and night. They reviewed any special needs and personal issues they should be aware of for my mother's stay. Ms. Ide Maka, one of the In-Charge nurses is amazing. She takes her responsibilities very seriously and always has a warm smile for all Ide, Venson, Samantha, and the full nursing team have all exceeded our expectations and always performed their responsibilities in the most warm and friendly manner. We have the utmost respect for all the nurses in the team. The CNA's are also remarkable willing to perform all their responsibilities in a friendly and professional manner. They are prompt and skillful in their jobs. Marle Antonio, head of the CNA's is always available and checks up with residents to see if their needs are being met. I cannot mention all their names but I can say that each one of the CNA's cared for our mother as if she were their own mom. The Physical and Occupational Therapy department is exceptional. Here again every therapist is caring and warm but most important they are all excellent therapists. We could not ask for a better team of professionals to have helped my mother return to her prior strength and abilities after her surgery. And a final note goes to the Activities department. Program Director Aurora Benko is a woman of admirable character. She runs a wonderful department and along with Elsa and Sharon, they are constantly keeping the residents occupied with enjoyable activities. As some residents have varying degrees of dementia it can be challenging to keep residents peaceful, happy and focused on activities. They all keep everyone entertained and safe and try their best to make the residents have fun and feel they are cared about. My family and I feel blessed to have had the experience at Brookdale Northridge and could not have imagined a better environment for my mother to recover from her accident. We were in California visiting from NJ and being so far from home during this difficult time was challenging but the teams of skilled professionals at Brookdale actually made our mothers stay enjoyable. Thank you Brookdale Northridge for all you did for our mother. We will never forget you. Congratulations Brookdale for running such a professional facility.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this facility is! They have taken extraordinary care of my aunt. The staff is truly amazing, the care and concern that they have for each and every resident and family member is unique and they always go the extra mile (without being asked!) You can rest easy knowing your loved one is well cared for. The peace of mind is such a relief, no more worrying and visits are a pleasure. Take a tour with Kristis and sparky (the little maltese mascot) and you will not look elsewhere for quality care. Check out all the smiling faces on the residents and staff it is the best measuring stick of Brookdale's success

As a professional working in the healthcare field, you often see the ugly side of healthcare, and can easily spot the difference between an establishment who's there for the money, and an establishment who's there that really care about their residents. I can honestly say that Brookdale Northridge is the latter and you will feel the staff's energy and good vibes as soon as you walk in. 1. Their location, building, and facilities are beautiful. The moment you pull up, you can immediately see the difference between their building and others. The moment you walk in, the facility has a classy look that makes anyone feel welcome. 2. The rooms and accommodations available for residents are amazing. I've toured other places as well and I think they are the best in the San Fernando Valley. 3. The staff is comprised of the most hard working, most positive people I've met, who strive to make their residents comfortable, and happy and welcome them to their new home. If anyone is ever interested in Brookdale Northridge, call and ask to speak with Nimisha as she has helped me countless times.

  • Schedule a tour and visit the physical location to make sure community description is accurate.
  • Confirm with community manager that living and services required for you or your loved one's unique needs and budget are met.
  • Check with state government websites for additional provider licensing and information.

If there is any information that is inaccurate or needs to be updated, please contact Assisted Living Center.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
