My mother has been a resident at Oak Park Place for over two years, and she never fails to mention, often more than once when visited, how much she loves living there. We children do not have to worry about her falling for scams, her safety, health, or diet. The meals are well balanced, tasty, and varied. The numerous activities offered keep Mom occupied and social. She has many friends with whom she can visit at most any time. The live weekly entertainment and special events are wonderful, and the seasonal decorations are splendid and festive. We have found communication between the staff and our family to be fine. Mom could not be a happier person than she has been during her residency at Oak Park. My family and I highly recommend Oak Park Place based on our experience.

My Mom seemed to be getting depressed after Dad died. Each time I stopped by her place, she was just sitting looking down at her hands in her lap. That is not normal for her. She is normally out planting and watering flowers, watching TV or cooking. My sisters started checking on places for her that would give her the opportunity to make new friends and a place that would give her the best care possible so that we wouldn't need to worry about her. I can't begin to tell you how awesome this place is. To be told by my Mom every time I visit what a great place this is and how happy she is, to Brenda answering my Tuesday calls with a personal "Hi Deb, 4:30, Pizza Ranch!" (My husband and I take Mom to Pizza Ranch every Tuesday). This is "Family! You can't get any better than this! My husband and I tell Mom that we are going to move in next door to her room when we decide we're ready to sell our place! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!

My Mom is half blind and has a mild case of dementia. They treat her like a person should be treated. They have activities throughout the day. They have the freedom to do what they want. The people are very friendly here. My mom at first wanted to go back to her place, but now she realized that this place is full of life. My Mom is 89, and she could not do it on her own. The staff is great they take good care of my Mom. My Mom can be a bear to deal with, and the staff has had good patience with her.

I moved my parents to the independent living side of Oak Park Place, Baraboo WI just over a year ago. This was a HUGE change for my parents, moving from their house of 50 years. Mother quickly learned to navigate the small town of Baraboo. Father has mild dementia, but he too has acclimated well to Oak Park Place. He is happy with the amount of space in the apartment. Both parents enjoy participating in the different activities Oak Park Place offers. They love playing BINGO, exercise classes, various games, and Happy Hour. The staff is AMAZING! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They have made many friends with the other residents. I am glad knowing that my parents are still living their best life at Oak Park Place. Plus, I don't need to worry about them because I know they are happy and safe at Oak Park Place Baraboo.

When I was younger my great grandmother's lived out the rest of their lives here. All the staff always do such an amazing job at making sure that they had everything they needed while they finished up their journey here. I'm glad they were able to give them such amazing care not just in Independent Living but also in Assisted Living. My grandma won't stop talking about out how friendly everyone is, from the residents to the staff alike. Our Mom could not be happier since moving from her home to Oak Park Place. She had been declining both mentally & physically while living at home alone, no longer driving and all of her outside of the home activities ceased during COVID. Once we took her on a tour of Oak Park Place, she told us that she wanted to live there and was ready to fill out an application immediately. We sold her home & she moved in to Oak Park 2 years ago in May. She did a complete turnaround. She loves all of the social activities, including bingo, crafts, music entertainment, and so much more, plus 3 good meals a day and snacks, and no longer having to dine alone. The staff are all wonderful & caring. Mom tells us nearly every day how happy she is and how much she loves living at Oak Park Place.

My parents have lived in Oak Park Place Baraboo for nearly 10 years. Starting in Independent Living, then moving on to Assisted Living as they needed more care, and finally into Memory Care once dementia set in. My father passed 15 months ago but my mother just moved into Memory care in the last couple of months. I can give the facility and staff my highest recommendation. The facility is bright and very clean, well maintained with attractive units and common areas. The staff is first rate, very caring, extremely competent. It's hard to imagine a better place for them.

Mom has been living at Oak Park Place for nearly 2 yrs. When she was living alone at home, we noticed a rapid decline in her both mentally & physically since the isolation period during COVID. We determined that she would do better in an assisted living facility, where she would be able to have a social life again, and her needs would be met. When we arranged a tour of Oak Park for her, she loved the place immediately & told us that she wanted to live there. She could not be happier since making the move & we noticed a dramatic and immediate turnaround in her. She regained that spark of life. She loves all of the activities available, such as bingo, crafts, Sit & Be Fit exercise, travel programs, music entertainment, etc…, as well as being able to dine with her new friends and enjoy 3 good meals every day, plus snacks. My husband Bill works at Oak Park Baraboo and loves his job, the staff, and the residents. As his wife, I not only get to hear about life at OPP on a regular basis, I get to enjoy visiting occasionally including attending some of their special events that they host throughout the year. I recently visited for the Badger tailgate and was so impressed with the turnout, the organization and program, the decorations, and the food. It was well attended and both visitors and residents present seemed to really enjoy themselves. It was typical of what seems to be Oak Park Baraboo's class act legacy. Today I plan to visit for the Oaktoberfest celebration and I'm certain the talented staff at Oak Park will hit another home run. My mother has been at Oak Park place over 7 years. She entered the facility in Independent Living. She loved her apt. and made so many friends. She was very reluctant to move in at first, but within days she found people to play bridge with. At first she was not sure she would like having her meals with the same people. Then she told me that they were all so busy talking that they had to leave the dining room before they were done with their conversations so the staff could clean the room. Oak Park has a great Activities Director. She has all sorts of field trips, activities at Oak Park and lunches planned for the residents. The HappybHour on Fridays are really fun. I look forward to them when I visit my Mother. Now fast forward and my Mother has to move to Assisted Living due to a fall resulting with a broken hip. The administrative staff could not be more helpful. And when you come into the front door of Oak Park you are greeted by some pretty lovely ladies. They are always very helpful and greet you with a great smile. I am so glad my Mother made the decision to move into Oak Park. I feel that she has remained active in her older years. If she had not taken that fall, she would still be in her apt. So if you have a loved one that needs to move out of their home, consider Oak Park Place. It is a lovely facility with a great Staff. It offers three levels of care. Independent Living, assisted Living and Memory Care. I do not live close to Baraboo so I feel that Mom is in good hands. I do not worry about her because I know she is in a safe environment.

My mother-in-law, Jackie, moved to Independent Living at Oak Park Place about 4 years ago. It was a transition for an independent woman. Within a few weeks we had to move her to Memory Care. She had a lot of challenges: 1) selling her home in Madison, 2) leaving neighbors 3) quit smoking and more. From the start we were impressed with the Nursing Staff at Oak Park Place. Their #1 concern was her health. The staff in Memory Care was excellent and made her feel welcome and comfortable from the start. Special Thank You to Tori Miller, Sam Bowman, Elaine and Jasmine who took very good care of her in her last few days. Thanks to Tori for always being willing to FaceTime during COVID so we could see and communicate with Jackie. Also, "Thank You" to Cindy and Jen in the Hair Salon who always made her look pretty. Another "Thank You" to the Activities Department. Jackie truly enjoyed participating and making crafts. When my daughter, Katie, Jackie's granddaughter, and I took Jackie to visit Oak Park Place 4 years ago it was hard because of the independent woman she was. However, looking back over the last 4 years, we know that she couldn't have been in a better place. Thank you to everyone at Oak Park Place for all you did over the past 4 years for Jackie and her family.

I moved all the way from Az to be a resident at Oak Park Place in Baraboo. Quite a move for a 87 year old, recovering from radiation. But it was worth it.! Facilities in AZ. were smaller and more expensive. My daughter checked out Oak Park for me, and they sent me videos. I chose my apt. without actually visiting it, just going by the video. When I finally arrived, I was surprised at how big my apt. was, and how clean and new everything was. I have a washer and dryer in my unit, none of the other facilities I looked at gave you that. The staff is great. They assign newcomers an "Ambassador" to show you around, and introduce you to others, etc.. I am very happy I no longer have to cook, do yard work, pay utility bills, worry about major expenses in maintaining a home, etc.

They are available to talk about concerns and never act like you are bothering them. The activity staff are fantastic- with so many options for the variety of residents that live there. We especially love Friday night happy hour where we can join Dad in listening to live music. I regularly bring in my golden retriever to the delight of everyone. I am so grateful that's an option there. The director has helped us navigate difficult long term insurance hassles, again without complaining about being on hold forever! I cannot say enough good things about the care my Dad receives here. The entire family has such gratitude for Oak Park Place.

I love my place, friendly people and always someone to help if you have any questions about anything, you can just about ask anyone. There is always something to keep me busy. People pass and stop to talk or just say hello. The apartment is always kept up and very homey, it makes me feel very much at home here. The meals are filling and tasty, I almost feel guilty, almost!!! They also have places to go and things to keep you busy so come and see for yourself, they will take you on a tour to see the different apartments and there is no pressure put on you at all. I'm glad I did.

I just wanted to say what a wonderful place Oak Park Place in Baraboo, Wisconsin is! My mom has lived in all 3 sections and has loved it from day one. She has Parkinson's and it had progresses to the point that she could not live alone because she was needing more assistance since her disease was progressing quickly. She first moved into Independent Living because she was waiting for an apartment to open up in Assisted Living. It was only about 2 or 3 months and a place became available. She lived in that unit for about a year and developed several friendships with other residents as well as with the staff taking care of her. The staff liked her so much that they would frequently give her little gifts and/or spend a little more time with her. This past May my mom ended up getting Covid. She was so sick and weak that we thought she would pass away. The staff took exceptional care of her during that time making sure she was as comfortable as possible considering her circumstances. My brother and I decided that it was time to move her to the Autumn Lane section because she needed a higher level of care than what they were able to provide in Assisted Living. That staff was sad to see her leave their section but certainly understood. In June mom was moved to Autumn Lane. As time would have it she recovered nicely from Covid and started to regain some of her strength back. She has become so close with everyone that's taking care of her. The bottom line is that the staff at Oak Park Place Baraboo goes WAY above and beyond for their residents. I would HIGHLY recommend that this is the place to be! Absolutely 5 stars!!!

Best place to be. Great food, staff and the new friends you meet. Everyone that works there treats you like a family member. When your new someone is always checking to make sure things are going well or if you have any questions. You feel safe and have no worries. There is always something to do. They have music and Happy Hour on Fridays which is Awesome. The grounds are beautiful well taken care of. They have transportation if need be. Just a Great place to be.
