Spoke with [name removed] the Admin for Oaks and informed her that we saw blood drips on the floor coming into the facility and it remained on the floor after we left and she inform us we should have told the staff. We informed her we couldn't find the staff. She said next time tell the staff. We had to tell her to inform her staff to look for such for drips on the floor. She was not a very pleasant and accommodating person, even when we informed her of changes in our brother's behavior and to review his medication regime. Additionally, his room smelled of urine and the floor and table was sticky with questionable substances.

I had a tour with Troy, and it was incredible. His knowledge alone, for dementia and Alzheimer’s, was a breath of fresh air. The quality of living each resident gets is 5 stars. I can’t wait to get my mom in this facility because i truly believe the quality of life she’ll have is going to be wonderful. Thank you to the staff members and care givers I saw. Yall are doing an amazing job.

My mother is in the Assisted Living and has transitioned very well due to the attention and support she receives from the staff. She enjoys the meals and is able to maintain her abilities with just enough support to always remain safe and happy. I’m glad we chose the Oaks. Donna Tisdale

The care and interaction with my dad makes me feel more at ease about him not being at home. My dad who is a resident here now smiles and interacts with people so much!! They have brought him out of his shell. Couldn't ask for a better place!

This is a wonderful facility!! My mother is a resident there and the care she receives is wonderful!! They treat her like family! The staff is ALWAYS willing to assist her in any way they can! I ’ recommend this facility to anyone who is in need of care for their loved one.

Oaks at Charleston was wonderful to work with from the beginning. Their staff is supportive and caring. I appreciated the communication and support, particularly as mom transitioned from assisted living to memory care. The memory care team and staff were phenomenal, deeply caring and understanding. They are encouraging and simply the best!

From my first contact I have found caring people and people who are flexible to my and my mother's needs. Already having done some volunteer work at Ashley River Plantation Facility, I knew it was clean and kept up. Each person I have worked with from Director to those doing everyday care upkeep has been polite , friendly and welcoming. They are gentle in redirecting my mother when she is off track. And clear with me about cost and medicines and basic needs. I highly recommend ARP and wish every facility had that level of professionalism. Jenny Turner

I had to transfer my sister from another facility and with COVID-19 it wasn't so easy buy Ashley River Plantation worked with me and made it happen within the time I had. So far everyone has been incredibly helpful and caring not just to my sister but also to myself. My sister is always clean and seems to be more coherent. I really wish I would have choose them the first time. Ashley River Plantation truly does have heroes working there I thank all of them for all they do

A fantastic facility with a staff that is second to none. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with the staff on multiple occasions, and the level of care they provide is outstanding. From the admission/coordination process with Brooke, to the nurses on the floor, everyone truly cares for the residents. A Five Star facility indeed.

Ashley River Plantation Senior Living has been a very positive experience for our family and 92 year old father, who has mild dementia. The staff took the time to thoroughly address our families numerous questions and demonstrated a level of compassion towards our father, that made it clear that this was the perfect facility for all our needs. Their help in navigating this process during this uncertain time, with coordination of all medical requirements, move-in requirements and our separation anxiety clearly shows their dedication to caring for our loved ones. The Ashley River Plantation is now part of our extended family. Thanks ARPSL.

Sheryl was absolutely amazing! She really went above and beyond to ensure that my mom had the perfect experience. This season in life is tough and Sheryl was great at easing my mother in and making her feel welcomed and loved! She helped me so much with this process and it was just a wonderful experience. First, I have to say that I have not had anyone that I know stay at Ashley River. I am posting this review solely on my experience in dealing with some of the staff at the facility. We were looking into a place for my father-in-law and had he stayed in Charleston, we would have chosen Ashley River Plantation. My very first unannounced meeting with Sean was very warm and welcoming and he was very responsive to our needs and especially helpful. From there, we continued our relationship with Sheryl and I know that that their goal, of course, is to fill rooms and keep the place running, but she was so much more than that. It is such a difficult time when you are considering such a move for someone and there is so much turmoil and confusion and I have to say that she was instrumental in helping us through this process. She was warm and caring and very professional and offered us such helpful counsel. She felt like a friend. She also seemed to call just when were we at yet another crossroads - like we shared a link! I don't usually leave reviews, especially when we didn't even use a service, but I wanted them to get credit for all the help they gave us even though our loved one ultimately moved from Charleston.

The care and attention to details at Ashely River Plantation has been exceptional. My father became a resident in the recent past. The entire process was very comfortable and friendly and understanding which was a direct result of the professional staff involved. From my first visit everyone made an effort to be helpful and friendly, and most importantly focus on the needs of my father. Upon moving in, the entire staff has learned his name and his interests. He is often especially invited and escorted to events they know he will enjoy. Dad has had exceptional medical care from Ann, and the in-house activity team of Danielle and Emily have truly made every effort possible to include him in all plans. He has responded accordingly and has truly settled in better than expected. The facility is very clean and his techs are most attentive. In fact, Precious called me with a small but needed request that my dad forget to pass along. I was deeply appreciative. The food, according to my father, is excellent and he looks forward to the new friendships forged during communal meals in the lovely, sunny dinning room. RJ is the night caretaker, and a finer man is not to be found. My dad loves quizzing RJ on his Spanish, as my father is a retired Spanish teacher. RJ happily joins in this activity, which is representative of his attitude toward his clients. Finally, Sheryl is an administartor extraordinaire. She shares her caring and joy to both the clients as well as their families. I feel blessed that our family has merged with this wonderful family at Ashley River Plantation.

Being a nurse, my priority is ensuring quality of life for all people, especially the venerable, the elderly being one of these groups of folks. Ashley River Plantation goes above and beyond to be certain their residents are medically well cared for, have awesome nutritious meals, spiritual celebrations and an abundance of varied activities to avoid isolation. It’s wonderful to walk in to Ashely River Planation and see happy, smiling residents and genuine staff that care for them!

Recently visited Ashley River Plantation. Community appears well designed for senior living “ has separate neighborhoods for both assisted living and memory care. Both neighborhoods were clean, smelled good, and the staff friendly. Most importantly residents were engaged and seemed happy

Both of my grandparents are now living at Ashley River Plantation. They have gone above and beyond to make sure they are comfortable. The staff genuinely cares for both of them and are very prompt in letting me know if there is every anything they are concerned about. They lived in their home for over 50 years so our family was very concerned about their happiness in moving into a new home. But, thankfully enough, both of my grandparents LOVE it. They are able to participate in daily activities, they LOVE the food (probably too much), and they have the opportunity to socialize with people that share the same interests as them. Very happy! 🙂

Well lit and bright with smiling faces. The size of the room compared to the cost and what they receive is a good deal. Visiting and see some activities they have is really nice. Seeing elderly being taken care of makes me never worry about getting older.
