I toured a number of facilities in the area when looking for a place for my mother and you won’t find a better group of carrying individuals then the folks here. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this propel to anybody or place a loved one here.

Ever since my grandmother moved in she had been more like herself. She now has new friends and is even being more independent and involved in activities. She loves her new facility. Thank you Brookdale team for giving her a new lease on life.

I went to Brookdale with my dad as we are looking for my uncle. It seemed nice there. I wish my uncle would move closer and if he does I think he would choose Brookdale. Ashley toured us and she was nice even answering my questions and concerns. The staff I got to meet were friendly. Residents were doing an exercise program and seemed to be happy.

Deciding on an ideal facility for a family member requiring additional assistance can be challenging. Although we were initially hesitant, the past year has seen substantial improvements. Precious has been diligent addressing our questions and concerns regarding care quality. A noticeable difference is evident in the interactions between staff, patients and family members. Bridget in the business office is always pleasant and maintains a n excellent attitude when responding to billing and charges inquiries. I would also like to acknowledge ED Alain’s efforts in listening to and addressing my concerns. We have consistently received respectful and kind treatment from everyone! A big thanks to Brookdale South!!

Looking for senior living facilities for a family member isn’t easy. But Ashley was so knowledgeable and helpful. If we could convince my uncle to move closer to us we would be happy to have him at Brookdale South. The staff really seems to care about the residents and the residents seemed engaged while they was doing what they call b-fit. It’s a program Brookdale created to keep them exercising no matter what their mobility is. It was refreshing to even see the nurse (whose name I think was Precious) do some of the exercises with the residents. It made the residents smile seeing her exercise along with them. If you’re looking for assisted living, go see Ashley at Brookdale South!

I was very impressed with my visit. The staff were professional, attentive, and kind. It was evident that they truly care about the well being of the residents, who appeared happy, engaged, and comfortable in their surroundings. The environment felt welcoming and supportive, which speaks highly of the quality of care provided here.

In our experience, after my mom has been at 5 different places in another state, we have found Brookdale South Charlotte to be the MOST accommodating, the MOST caring assisted living facility of all of them. The executive staff have accommodated all of my mom’s needs and ours as well! One other thing we love about Brookdale South Charlotte besides the staff and Care Partners are the other residents and the resident activities coordinator!! My mom is wheelchair bound but even so, she is able to go on field trips out in the community once a week, because of the amazing wheelchair accommodating bus. Brookdale South Charlotte has made this chapter in my mom’s life, full of life and full of living life!

The last couple of years my mother was here if it wasn’t for Hospice I would have moved her to another facility. Staff (including administrators) do not communicate. My mother passed away 6/21/22 and I have yet to hear anything from Brookdale. You would think someone would reach out with condolences

Literally cannot express my appreciation to this facility! Reagan (sales manager) in particular was absolutely outstanding! Such a hard time for our family and she was there every step of the way with support, encouragement, and accessibility! The food is fantastic, the studios are light, bright and airy, the residents are lovely and the staff are courteous, caring, friendly and supportive...I am just so impressed and cannot say enough about Brookdale South. Thank you all so much. If I could give 100 stars, I would!!

My dad was a resident of the Brookdale South Charlotte community. The transition to an assisted living facility was difficult for him, some days more than others. That never deterred the staff from showing him the utmost respect and care. In August of this year, he was hospitalized for 18 days and then admitted to a rehabilitation center for an additional 14 days. Unfortunately, his declining condition required that he return to the hospital where he remained for 17 more days. The one constant that remained during these 49 days was his desire to return "home". He asked daily when he was going back to Brookdale. Because of his rapidly declining condition, the prospect of returning to Brookdale was bleak. He needed a skilled nursing facility and as much as it pained me, I knew that Brookdale South Charlotte was not equipped to manage his increasing needs. On day forty-three, Dad asked that he be removed from all medications and be given "Comfort Care" only with the assistance of Hospice. Being his daughter and Health Care POA, I was given many options for him to move once he was discharged from the hospital. But none of them was "home" and I knew it. The day before discharge, I visited the facility he was to go. I left in tears, and I headed "home". Not mine but his, Brookdale South Charlotte. God placed Tara Neely in the hallway as I stood at the concierge desk in tears. She took one look at me and said, "What can I do?" I told her his desire to return and all that would be involved medically. I knew in my head that it was not possible, but my heart was begging for her to say come home. She hugged me, reassured me that all would be okay, and she would be in touch with me and the Hospice coordinator before the day’s end. In less than 24 hours, Tara and her staff made it possible for Dad to return home with the people he knew, that loved him and cared for him daily. Tara told me what we would need and together with Hospice, a Care Giving sitting service, myself, my husband, and my mother we set out on this journey. For 6 days the staff of Brookdale South Charlotte cared for us as well as my dad. They worked with Hospice even when their directions were not clear or beyond their normal duties. They checked in and helped the sitters and us whenever needed. Some may think this is what they get paid for. I would answer by saying, they don't get paid to pray with us and for dad, they don't get paid to offer us more comfortable chairs from the hallway rather than the folding ones we brought, they don't get paid to offer us a cup of coffee or tea, bring us ice, they don't get paid to hold us in the darkest hours and offer us comfort. These actions are because they care. These actions are because they reflect their leadership. On day six of his return, my dad left this life for the one promised. He was home where he wanted to be and surrounded by those that loved him. We, his family, were also surrounded by those that loved us. I will forever be grateful. The death of a parent is a difficult pivotal moment in one's life but those 6 days at Brookdale South Charlotte will never be negative. Brookdale South Charlotte is the gold standard in Assisted Living Facilities

My mom lives here! I have been so pleased with the welcoming atmosphere and caring attention she receives. From the very first day, she has been so thrilled that everyone knows her and calls her by name. The staff is fabulous!There is such a wide range of engaging activities for the residents, and family members are always welcome to participate. We have enjoyed a Halloween parade with our pets, a lovely Christmas brunch, nail paintings, and leisurely picnics on the back lawn. I checked out many senior living facilities in Charlotte for my mom, and Brookdale South Charlotte was and is the one that feels like home. If you are in need of somewhere for your loved one to feel loved,safe, and valued- this is the place!
