May 2026
My sister was a resident for over a year. My experience was that she received excellent care. The staff was friendly and always courteous. I recommend them highly.
April 2026
We recently moved my father into Renaissance after his early-onset Alzheimer's diagnosis, and the experience has been genuinely reassuring. The staff has been incredibly accommodating to his specific needs and personality. They even allowed me to move a stationary bike into his room for him so he can keep doing what he loves. That kind of personal touch means the world to our family. We did run into a hiccup getting the WiFi set up for his digital picture frames, but the team had it sorted out within a week. And I visited him a couple weeks later and his nails were quite long (maybe that was on the agenda to groom that evening). Minor bumps aside, we couldn't be happier with the care and attention he's receiving. Highly recommend Renaissance to any family navigating a similar situation.

My family remains so impressed with this facility! Royal and his team have shown integrity and a genuine sense of concern for the well-being of their residents! I cannot imagine our loved-one thriving anywhere but here!!! Highly recommend visiting and considering this special place!

Moved a family member and friend from another facility, to the Renaissance, I have to say this has been the best experience so far the staff is very knowledgeable, very friendly and helpful.. this facility is like night and day compared to the other. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who's looking for a great place for a loved one.. the staff is excellent I give kudos to them for sure..

Admitted my wife into Renaissance memory care in 2/2025. It was a fantastic fit, the caregivers were well staffed and extremely dedicated. F.w. 1/2026, housekeeping quit, maintenance quit, huge caregivers quit, and the rest are working 17-20 days straight. Is this from new owners ??? Starting to look elsewhere but management says everything is great. (B.S.)

We were very impressed with The Renaissance. It's very well laid out, the grounds are well kept, we loved the cottage concept and the "aging in place" concept of providing continuing services. All of the interior spaces we saw were very clean and well maintained and the staff we interacted with were knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

We moved my sister to the Renaissance from another facility when she required memory care two months ago. I can’t say enough about the care she receives from the entire staff. They are so kind and empathetic to her needs. She is so happy and loves it there. I feel confident that they have improved her quality of life immensely. Randy Teall

The Renaissance is a friendly, cozy, family type facility. I had the most wonderful tour...I was taken everywhere and introduced to alot of the staff. All were very friendly and everyone seemed to know everyone...meaning the residents and staff included. Beautiful grounds and exceptionally clean.

Alot of staff turnover. Hard for the residents. Concerns don't get passed to the next shift. Best thing I can say is there is no abuse, they are fed, and someone is with them 24 hours. Beautiful setting.

My sister is prohibited from seeing my niece, her daughter, at your care facility. What kind of place are you running? You called the police on her and had her trespassed. Sickening! Yet keep billing my sister and treat her like a prisoner. I'm going to turn you in to attorney general or whomever can stop this massive abuse scheme.

Susan, Cristina, and Taylor are an amazing trio at this place. The others are great also and the executive director Kaitlyn is an absolute doll and one of the hardest workers I have ever met. Everyone here is attentive to the patients needs and I would highly recommend this place for a loved one that needs memory care or just a place to rehab as in my case. I'll definitely miss these ladies when I am gone. I love them all!

Nice and feels like home
June 2022
We have a family member here in Memory care. The caregivers here are outstanding as is the administrative staff. The facility is very warm and is set up to feel more like home than a hospital. I would recommend Renaissance to anyone needing assisted living for your loved one.
January 2022
I began searching for an assisted living facility without any idea of what to expect. My mother-in-law is 96 years old and suffers from dementia and after spending 6 years living with us, it was time to find a home that could provide the care that she needed and deserved. I called several facilities and found that the only way to get the pertinent information was to tour the various facilities. When I toured The Renaissance at Coeur d’Alene it felt like home. The campus was peaceful and well kept with beautiful landscaping in a quiet setting with lots of surrounding trees. The facility consists of several houses with a small number of residents in each house, making it feel more homey and less institutional. The apartments were comfortable with plenty of room and included a nice size bathroom and closet. From my first contact with The Renaissance, I was impressed with the caring attitude displayed by all the staff, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and truly seemed to love the residents. All aspects of care were explained, and literature was presented for further explanation. My contact, Jackie, led me through the whole process and made it extremely painless. Placing a loved one in an assisted living facility is difficult for both the family and the person being uprooted and placed into unfamiliar surroundings. Jackie was there for support for the whole family before, during and after the placement. My mother-in-law is thriving in her new home and participates in many of the planned social interactions. I highly recommend touring The Renaissance before deciding on an assisted living facility for a loved one. You will find it well worth your while.

Assisted living & memory care facility. Each of the 5 houses can accommodate 16 residents. Very helpful staff. Activity director, Jacob, is awesome..as is Heidi. Office & nursing staff are great. My mom was a resident from 2015 to April of 2019. The staff made sure that religious needs were met. For Catholics- rosary a couple of times a week. Varied entertainment, including JJ Dion. Until Covid changed everything. Still waiting to hear about the weekly Rosary! It's now 2022.

We were looking for a place for my mother. Jackie was very helpful and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure my mom could stay there. The staff seem to enjoy working there and the people they care for. It was clean, bright, cheery and the outside grounds are beautiful as well. We ended up choosing a different place only because the facility type was more suited to my mom. Renaissance was our first choice for cottage style assisted living, hands down.
December 2021
Our loved one moved into a Renaissance Assisted Living cottage in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho last month. The facility is working hard at meeting the specific and somewhat 'outside the box' needs of our family member, and he tells us almost daily he is happy there. He says the food is good, he is feeling comfortable and making friends with his cottage mates! The staff have gone out of their way to be friendly and caring, and the services offered, like the on-site medical care are such a help to us. Everyone from the top down has gone out of their way to turn what, essentially, is an extremely difficult decision within any family, into a very positive, manageable, and smooth transition. We are truly grateful to have found this particular Care community and look forward to a long and satisfying relationship. Highly recommend!
November 2021
The entire staff has been great from day one, welcoming my mom into the community. They create ways to enrich residents lives regularly. The facility is beautiful and well kept with a landscaped courtyard for outside activity.

Very clean facility, great Management, stellar Nurses and amazing care staff. The property and houses are great. The courtyard is secure and gives the residents such freedom.

By Donna Scott. My sister lived at The Renaissance for two and one-half years. I only have high praise for all components of the facility. The office staff are always friendly and efficient. The caregivers and nurses are patient, helpful and ready to answer any questions. Rooms are kept clean and supplied with necessary items. The exterior grounds are immaculate. The food is very good. Jacob keeps residents busy with numerous activities, parties for special occasions and holidays. When allowed, a variety of entertainment is brought in frequently. I highly recommend The Renaissance.

Making the decision to relinquish and transfer care of my husband of 51 years was extremely difficult. The timing, in the midst of a Pandemic, when many resources couldn't be accessed, made things even more challenging. Fortunately, I had done quite a bit of research in the last 6 months and had narrowed candidates down to three. I chose Renaissance of Coeur d'Alene and am very happy that I did. From the very beginning of my contact with their staff, I found everyone to be very helpful, professional and caring. My husband has Alzheimer's and several other forms of dementia,, which can be challenging to cope with. Their staff came to our home for the initial screening, so he could be more comfortable. Once they determined they could accommodate his needs, they provided me with all the information I needed to help the transition from home to his new residence go smoothly. They informed me of the current limitations for visits caused by COVID-19 and have provided up-dates via email as these changed. Their dietitian was very helpful. She used various strategies to encourage my husband to eat-he is very picky. Their flexibility in accommodating individual resident's needs is reassuring. They have a wonderful medical support staff at Renaissance. With COVID-19, their Doctor does Telehealth visits, an assistant visits on site as well as having Registered Nursing staff on site. I have been very pleased with the care my husband has received. I feel that the size of the facility, the staff to resident ratio and the caring/welcoming attitude of their entire staff made Renaissance the perfect placement for our family.

Loving and attentive staff. Clean facilities and an excellent activities calendar and security measures. The Renaissance is a hidden gem of Coeur D Alene. We were in search of referrals/recommendations coming out of another facility nearby and not once did they mention The Renaissance but rather we were sent to tour other local facilities with poor ratings and sub par customer service. It was pure happenstance that we found this and it proved to be the perfect match for our loved one with advanced dementia and many advanced needs.
September 2019
End of life care is not an ideal time for anyone involved, but The Renaissance played an important roll in our family's story and we value and appreciate their support. {{Our loved one was evicted from The Lodge CDA (just down the street) following an incident (<--a totally crazy story you would not believe) when he went for an unattended walk and was not noticed to be missing for nearly an hour. Ironically, the staff member who found him and speedily attended to his medical needs was a Renaissance Staff Member. The Renaissance has what The Lodge CDA lacked.}} They have a lovely outdoor courtyard that all residents can access at will but that does not have exits to the outdoor world. Buildings have access codes that guests can use but that help keep wandering residents from exiting the incorrect door and getting lost. They have simple but clean rooms, and impressively clean houses. Special note - be advised that one house - Chateau St. Michelle - has staff that are expert-level equipped with late term memory care issues (read: sundowners, wanderers, non verbals, repetitive behaviors, non responsive patients). If your loved one is having trouble in other houses or at other facilities, consider that the level of expertise shown by the staff in this building could be the ANSWER to your prayers. The activities director at The Renaissance is incredible. Even with the late stage memory care issues many of the residents exhibit, they were encouraged to dance, play games, play cards, and go for scheduled outings ALL. THE. TIME. You may not think an activities director is important, but it definitely is. Finding ways to stay connected to "life" is what keeps people wanting to move forward. At the end of our time there, the staff could not have been more caring and empathetic to all members of our family. They gave us the time we needed to make necessary arrangements, they connected us with hospice, they helped us maneuver the extremely confusing time that is the end. I would certainly recommend this facility as a final home for a loved one who has memory care/dementia/or special and unique needs.

Putting my dad in assisted living broke my heart. I was able to care for him at home for 7 months, but after a couple falls the reality was that he needed more care than i could provide. My brothers and i toured several facilities. We walked away from each knowing we wouldnt feel good leaving dad there. When we toured The Renaissance we knew almost instantly that we had dad "home." The owners and staff are fantastic. You could just tell that all of them truly cared. They always kept us very promptly informed of anything associated with dad. I am so greatful for everyone there making my dad, me, and my family feel acomfortable and cared for.

It was a worry for me to find the right Assisted Living for my elderly mother. However her living at home, even with my close supervision and extra help, was no longer safe. I asked around and The Renaissance was highly regarded by everyone. I then toured The Renaissance and met with the owners, who also work there. I was impressed with their caring and accommdating attitude. I took Mom to meet them and look over the facility. Even my Mom who had a strong aversion to the old style "Nursing Homes" thought it was beautiful there and the people very friendly. Mom did rent a room there and was very happy. They had a busy activity schedule, which mom took full advantage. The staff is caring and helpful. It is very clean and inviting and one of my favorite features was the high ceilings and the natural light. You can sign up to their network of doctors and prescription providers who come right to the Renaissance. I was extremely happy with the Physician Assistant who came in weekly and the nurses at their facility. They also arranged for Physical Therapy to help her balance and fitness. They were even able to draw blood work there and test for UTI's. The amount of worry taken off of our families shoulders was significant. Mom also had food allergies and the whole cooking staff went out of their way to accommodate her special needs. It is always a big step for an elderly person to leave their home. I was proud of my mom for making the effort to adjust. I think the thing that made me happiest was that Mom made friends there whom she really cared about, which included the other residents, the owners and staff. This story has a sad ending as a pre-existing medical condition ended her life. She had immediate medical care and was transferred to the Hospital which was just a few miles away. I am writing this review as a thank you for their excellent care and facility and to assist other people in making their decision for their loved ones.

I just toured this most beautiful home-like environment for residents with assisted living needs and Alzheimer’s or memory care needs. The owners are stellar operators with passion for every quality detail. Residents and staff were happy and engaged. The community was very clean and bright. I would choose this community for my loved one immediately. I toured many other communities in the Coeur d’Alene and surrounding areas and this was by far the best of the best!!!
