Our family had the most amazing experience with MorningStar Senior Living of Parker. My mom moved into the memory care unit in 2018, she was battling Alzheimer's/Dementia but was still very young. The number of activities that were offered were amazing; everything from pet visits, sing alongs, church services, field trips, games and crafts. The staff was extremely attentive, and care was top notch from the nurses to medical staff and even the local fire department and ambulance transports to/from the hospital. MorningStar was always striving to provide better care and services, not just to the tenants but also the families. There were increases in communication, and the addition of a new app for everything from tracking activities to planning meals. There were a few falls and bumps throughout the years, my mom tried to stay very active and constantly was doing "yard work" in the outside common area, and I received a call every time - even if there were no injuries. I could get ahold of folks there at the facility if I had questions or needed something and we established periodic care calls to check in on her condition and any other medical concerns that might have popped up. I went to visit every week and it was always very welcoming coming in the door. I loved Friday afternoons when the musicians came in, seeing everyone participate and sing their favorite songs from there era definitely put a smile on all the family member's faces. Everyone from the executive director to staff and back-office team members were always so helpful, I can't thank everyone enough for all their efforts and making our experience amazing for so many years. I highly recommend MorningStar of Parker for their loved ones.

I’d really like to give a higher rating, because the staff are very kind and responsive. The facility is clean. The food is the problem. It’s over seasoned, over cooked, heavy with lots of butter and sugar. Fresh fish only once a week. My mother is mostly pescatarian. There really are no options for light, healthy meals except for once or twice a week. The vegetables served? Well maybe 3 small over cooked pieces served with the meal. I am guessing there are folks there that would like healthier choices. People with digestive issues that can’t eat fried greasy foods or heavy creams. Honestly if I ate what is offered on the menu I’d gain 20lbs in a month. It’s expensive to live there and part of why we chose this place is because meals are included, but so far the meal choices have been poorly lacking. We’ve tried to work with the management team and there have been small improvements but not enough to justify the cost. My sense is the profit is priority over food quality.

The staff was incredibly caring, supportive, and attentive to his needs from day one. He is kind and attentive to the residents that live in MorningStar Parker memory care. He takes the time to explain each step to the resident before he does anything with them to let them know that they are safe. Just incredible!

My family and I visited for my great grandmothers 99th both on the day of her birthday and the day after for an extended family celebration. The woman who helped us most was Angie! She was very kind and helpful on both days! She helped us cut up cake at dinner and made sure we got wonderful service that night. The next day she came by and checked on our whole group and made sure we could ask for anything at any time. We really appreciated how kind everyone was and how helpful they were as well.

My mom lived at Morningstar of Parker assisted living for the last 2.5 years of her life and it was such a comfort to know she was somewhere where she could get the assistance she needed and yet keep her independence. When she first moved in she needed help with only a few tasks, and as time went on, Morningstar was able to match their assistance to her increasing needs. It was great to not have to worry about moving to a different facility since Morningstar has multiple care levels. No, everything wasn't perfect, but I felt heard when I brought up issues. Staffing was a challenge, but this is a reflection on the environment of the moment and not on Morningstar alone. Most other facilities struggle with the same issue. I will say that any staff who wasn't kind and caring didn't stay long. The vast majority of staff, from nursing to aides to housekeeping and dining are kind, caring, and would go out of their way to help my mom. The activities were varied and my mom enjoyed making crafts and cooking in the common room. Having her primary care, physical therapy, and occupational therapy providers on site was wonderful, as my mom could be seen in her apartment and any concerns were addressed right away. Having the salon on site was fabulous and made it easy for her to get her hair and nails done, which also helped her retain independence. I'm so glad she could be at Morningstar and stay in Parker, where she lived for 50 years.

My dear sweet mother spent her last 8 months at MorningStar of Parker in Assisted Living in the 4 story building. It is a beautiful facility and in her words, she felt loved and cared for. She also liked the food, especially the salmon. She loved all the people she met and made some beautiful friends. The activities were great too (bingo, book club, happy hour, dining and church). She also got her hair done there and it was fabulous. We also loved the in house nursing group and staff plus PA from Bloom. I highly recommend using all in house services. Everyone we touched there from admin to wait staff, aides, nurses - everyone- were so kind and attentive. I was there to visit my mom often so I to got to know and love them too. It was a wonderful place and experience for her to live out her last days. I could go home and get some rest knowing she was cared for by many special caring people at MorningStar of Parker. Thank you.

We had a wonderful experience with Moringstar. My father started in Independent living in 2018 and progressed through different levels of care. He recently passed while in the Memory Care unit. The industry is difficult, especially through Covid, but the staff of Parker Moringstar really dealt with the challenges and made sure my father was well cared for until the end. There are several employees that made the extra effort to make his life a little easier; they felt like family to my dad. Nothing is perfect but Moringstar has several amenities for all stages of life and we loved the feeling of home. Dad passed peacefully and Moringstar helped us through the process.

I am so thankful that while my Dad was at Morning Star in Parker that the staff truly took the time to get to know him and care about him. They knew his favorite foods to offer him when he didn't feel like eating and they knew that when he would get anxious, the best thing for him was to get outside for a walk and get some fresh air. I have been very impressed by the quality of care for my father at Parker Senior Living by Morningstar. The facility is beautiful and spotless. It has a resort feeling to it and whenever I am there, morning noon or night, the staff are always available and friendly and willing to help. They take the time to get to know their residents and their family and make you feel at ease. They offer a lot to their residents and host several events for the community. Any questions or concerns are always treated professionally and responded to immediately. The management of the facility is top notch and after visiting several senior living communities, I knew that this was the right place for Dad. If you want a caring home away from home for your loved one, look no further.

My mother has been a resident of Parker Senior Living for almost a year. During that time, I have received peace of mind that she is surrounded by caring people who are ready, willing and able to assist her should she need help. She has the dignity to live an "independent" life style amid quality residents and staff and the opportunity to be around people her own age and "speed." I visit on a daily basis and watch first hand how residents are treated. The facility is attractive and fastidiously clean, social opportunities and activities are varied and often and meals are more than adequate in quality and quantity. I would not hesitate to recommend PSL to someone looking for a quality residence and care for their loved ones.

This is a beautiful place and there is alot of potential here. For me, as a CNA with 15+ years of experience of caregiving, I see alot of areas of weakness. At times they are severely shorthanded. Carestaff is also waitstaff, activity staff, laundry staff, and light housekeeping staff. Your loved one's will wait on occasion up to an hour for help. It is best if they are independent and live here. They just don't have the staff or qualifications to care for those who need assistance on a daily basis. I've witnessed falls where they stand around and ask the resident if they want to call 911. I've seen wounds shamefully bandaged (if bandaged at all). There is no one there to assess falls, wounds, rashes or to even remove stitches. I've seen clients wait 4 days to get a terrible yeast infection treated. If your loved one does end up living here, please be prepared to dedicate alot of time to them as they will not get that time here. For the price, just keep them home and hire home health.
