The building is currently undergoing upgrades. It is bright, clean, and very friendly staff. The staff daily greets each person, offers to assist at a moments notice, requests input from clients and family. Safety measures, attention to clients needs,activities, and well being everyday is their top priority.

Working with Cindie and her team has been amazing! The community is bright and cheerful when you walk in and they happily work with families and their loved ones for the right level of care. The location is easily accessible and close to a lot of shops and restaurants and their activities keep residents engaged and stimulated. Every time I’ve been there residents are smiling and happy.

This was our first visit to Harmony Independence as we are looking for the right place to move to in the June time frame.The tour was very nice. We were both very impressed with the facility. The residents seemed really happy and comfortable. The two bedroom apartment we saw was plenty roomy for the two of us and seemed to meet our needs just fine.

I met with Virginia Hendrix with Harmony at Independence and had an amazing meeting and tour. Her very warm and welcoming personality puts you at ease to ask many questions. Visited this beautiful well maintained facility and was very impressed! Very clean and warm the moment we walked in. I brought my sister up from Florida to live at Harmony at Independence in November 2021. As time went on, she really considered Harmony her home. She was in the assisted living wing and received excellent care from most of the caregivers there. In particular I would like to give special thanks to Natalie, Sylvia and Kaylin. They went above and beyond to ensure that she was happy and cared for. Sadly she passed away in January 2025, but they were there for her until the end. Tonya at the front desk was always very helpful to me, forwarding my calls, passing along messages, scheduling her transportation needs and just about anything else I needed at the time. I would definitely recommend Harmony at Independence to anyone looking for a special place to care for their loved one.

My mom is here and it is a wonderful thing! She was reluctant to leave her own home until it became a necessity. The staff at Harmony did a great job settling her in to her new place and is providing a warm, caring, personalized environment. There is a wide variety of activities and loads of help available for her whenever needed. I am impressed and pleased with all of it!

I’m Dr. ROBERT ZIEGLER and I have lived here in Harmony for seven years going on seven years. It’s a beautiful place to live. The people here are nice. I’ve enjoyed my stay here. I’m the pastor here. We have church service every Sunday if we have a problem you go to the person in charge and they do take care of it for. there’s all sorts of activities and they have a THERAPY here, libraries, computer room, gym and entertainment and my wife and I love it here we enjoy ourselves. The staff is outstanding from the Director all the way down to the cooks. They’re all kind, courteous and outstanding. it’s a blessing to be here, we could’ve gone someplace else but we chose here and I’m glad we did.

While my Father-in-law was only there for a very short period of time the staff went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable. End of life isn't easy but the staff at Harmony made the best of the situation not only for Donald but for his family as well. We will be forever grateful for their help and understanding. My mother lives here and is very happy. The staff members are very friendly and accommodating to the residents. Inna was the first person we met and made a great impression. The front desk staff, the dining room attendants, cleaning staff, and activity planners are wonderful. She is safe and well cared for.

It was not easy for my 92 yr old Mom to leave her home after 55 years . She was very reluctant to leave and relocate out of state and move closer to me in Virginia . I toured Harmony House and other retirement communities and knew from the moment I was greeted by the upbeat and pleasant staff this was the place for Mom. It was a gradual process having my Mom move in. It took her a while to get used to the idea , Ina at Harmony House was patient and understood and was never pushy . She understood how daunting it can by for someone of that age to up and leave everything they know and start over in a new state and a new home . The staff is welcoming and friendly , there are plenty of activities to do and the apartments are very nice . My Mom adapted better than we could’ve hoped for . Ina was instrumental in making the move easy for my mom and making her feel welcome . The residents are all very friendly as I visit my Mom daily and gotten to know a lot of them personally.

When it came time to find a place for my Grandmother we researched several Senior Living Communities. She didn't want to leave her home but had accepted that she needed assistance. From the first meeting at Harmony at Independence, my family members and I knew we were in the right place. They listened to us, answered every question, and asked about our loved one in depth to better understand her as a potential resident. As a resident, my Grandmother enjoyed her beautiful "condo" in the assisted living section of Harmony. Her room had a small kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave, sink and dishes. Meal time in the dining room was a social event among the residents and she made friends to eat with. We would often drop by and that was never an issue..we just sat down with her and ordered a plate as well! Always felt welcomed. Harmony is so special because they have great staff on site to help who were always friendly and responsive. They treated my Grandmother with respect and care. Harmony offers a weekly (limited) happy hour, movie night, game nights, shopping outings, exercise classes and Sunday Worship. Harmony is a well run community that gives families peace of mind. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Harmony at Independence is the best among the other places we visited, when we were looking for an assisted living for my mother-in-law. We were very impressed with the interior- the lobby looks like a hotel. The furniture in every area is beautiful. The place is clean and well-kept. Best of all, the staff is very nice and helpful. Anisa assisted us, went through the process smoothly, from start to finish. She and Inna make a great team! Shawn, the executive director said, Harmony staff cares about the residents' happiness and well-being. And she was right. A few days after Mom moved-in, the in-house physical and occupational therapists started to work with her. She's been living there for almost two months now, and she said she couldn't be happier. The caregivers are accommodating and compassionate. Mom said she feels stronger and healthier. She participates in all activities like bingo and happy hour. She also enjoys the concert. The hair salon by Staci is Mom's happy place. It's only a few doors away from her apartment. Like Mom said, the name of this place speaks for itself- Harmony!

Harmony at Independance is a top shelf adult living community. I am very impressed at the professionalism and cleanliness of the facility. I cant say enough about the management, from the Executive Director to the Sales/Marketing Manager, they have been and remain best I have ever met. They have been honest, hard working and completly accomodating, I couldn't have asked for more... The nursing staff and food service has been spot-on as well, professional and well mannered - it has made me feel very comfortable with my loved one living here, I feel like they are in good and caring hands. All together, I am very pleased.....

We had been looking at Harmony for a few years and knew that was where we wanted our mom to live when the time came. The complex itself is the perfect size. Not so big that you get lost in it, but still has all of the amenities of the larger complexes. The traditional furnishings in the common areas fit the demographics of the community. It is so warm and welcoming! We rent the 1 bedroom independent apartment which is 720 sq feet. Here are just a few things that my mom likes the most: *Lots of storage space. Hall closet, pantry, big linen closet and walk-in closet in the bedroom. *Open kitchen with ice maker * Big bathroom with washer and dryer and walk-in shower. *Large covered balcony. The food service is great! You can eat in the dining room, or take your meal to-go. I believe lunch and dinner are a full three-course meal. The portions are large enough that there is usually leftovers for lunch the following day. The concierge service is amazing so far! The staff is so helpful and attentive. Thank you to Jeromy who seems to have unending patience and always accessible when needed. We hope our mom enjoys many years at Harmony!

A dear friend of mine lives here, and, though the facility always appears clean and neat, and the staff seems kind and helpful, the fact that residents must arrange transportation three days in advance when they need to be taken somewhere is a concern. These are elderly people, who can't always plan things like doctor's visits three days in advance-sometimes it isn't an emergency that requires an ambulance, but still something that shouldn't wait, and not being able to get a ride somewhere on shorter notice (perhaps 24 hours?) is not reasonable-it's hard enough to get a doctor to squeeze you in for an appointment as it is. My friend was also told that she would be able to get transportation to church on Sundays, only to find out once she had moved, that the Harmony does not provide transportation on weekends. This could have been a miscommunication, but it was still a blow, and since we live in such a busy area, I am surprised that there is no transportation on Saturdays and Sundays-I would think those days would be when people would want to get out to the mall, the beach, the park, church, etc. The transportation services need serious revision, given what people are paying to live here! Having said that, the apartments are lovely, and the residents that I see in the hallways look happy and cheerful-I just wish there were more vans so they could provide rides seven days a week.
