First, our service personnel, Chuck in maintenance was able t help get my TV working, the new Manager (name I do not remember) coordinated the repair, the front desk rep (do not remember name) coordinated with everyone. I have lived here for 2.5 years. Have seen two managers leave and staff come and go. The assistance for obtaining help in apt is limited. Six days I have waited for TV repair. Nothing! Not even a voice telling me that help is delayed. I also need a new light in oven and overhead fixture, but have not bothered to ask for help! I know that I will not get any! We need more help in this place, but the new owners have chosen to ignore staffing needs! Don't move in, you will be sorry!

If I could put zero stars I would! This facility cares more about money and their license than your loved one’s basic care! My grandpa was housed in the memory care side the “cottage” as they call it. He experienced a traumatic fall that resulted in a brain bleed and broken sternum, the caregivers lied on their reports to the state claiming it was an assisted fall. And when our family questioned the facility on how my grandfather ended up with traumatic injuries (traumatic brain bleed and broken sternum). We were told “your cameras did not pick up any negligence or abuse”. My grandpa fell in the bathroom. And yes we did not have a camera in the bathroom for his privacy. Once we were forced to put him back into the Arabella after his traumatic fall due to lack of time and choices of other places to send him. Arabella refused to give him the basic care he needed to be fed at every meal. They refused to feed him and just placed the tray of food in front of him and did not attempt to feed him. They left him in bed, in very uncomfortable positions for days. They did not change him on a regular basis and left him sitting in his own urine and feces, smelling HORRIBLE for days and days. This neglect led to a very rapid decline in his health and well being. We ultimately made the decision to move him to a group home with more personalized care. In the 48 hrs since moving him, he has eaten most of all meals given to him because he’s being fed properly due to not being able to do it himself. He has perked up and gotten color back into his face. He suffered from malnutrition and dehydration due to Arabella’s neglect and abuse. Do not put your loved one in the memory care side of this facility! You will regret your choice to put them there. If I wouldn’t of moved my grandfather when I did. He would of died due to neglect, abuse and lack of basic care needs! Your loved one would be better off at a Medicare funded facility than putting them here. Don’t make the mistake our family did. Seek elsewhere to put your loved one! And research group homes, they offer the absolute best care possible and will treat your loved one with dignity and respect

Responding with revised conditions at Arabella Independent Living. A new manager has been appointed to the facility. And who has begun working hard, updating a number of disruptive issues that have been affecting numerous residents. These efforts are noted by residents and appreciated. Realizing that NO facility has perfect conditions. Arabella is a wonderful place to live. The numerous employees ( management, food, housekeeping, craft, front desk, therapy, maintenance, etc) work hard in supporting each other and residents. Looking forward to the future. Having the ability to enjoy good food preparation and service. Living in beautiful, well designed apartments. Enjoying life with the wonderful residents. Very thankful for Arabella.

Arabella is a beautiful community. The community is immaculate and Fatima is simply amazing. The staff I met was equally impressive. I had the pleasure of meeting some of the residents all of whom appeared happy and healthy. The facility was clean, neat, and smelled fresh. Fatima was extremely warm and pleasant, spending about an hour and a half with me, thoroughly providing information about the community. Although the cost is a bit high, the services and accommodations are well worth it. When entrusting the care of your loved ones to others, you want the peace of mind that comes from knowing the environment is well-maintained and the caretakers are cheerful and supportive. My visit was a great experience.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Rachel is simply amazing, the facility is beautiful, helpful staff, so many amenities. When my father-in-law saw his apartment for the first time, he kept saying "Well this is something else!" and absolutely loved it! Even though we raved about it, he said we still didn't describe it well enough. It was more that we could have ever hoped for and Rachel made it a smooth transition for my father-in-law from total independence to independent living in a senior living facility. I would highly, highly recommend!!

The Independent residents of Arabella, have been forced to put up with a known person, stealing numerous items over a number of months. The residents have complained and finally one, very hardworking, devoted employee, contacted the police. The law officers went into the apartment of the known suspect, and located numerous items that had been stolen. Note: the resident that was responsible for the thefts, is still roaming loose for additional items to steal. I am bring this up because i saw noted individual walking way from the Bistro with a full container of treats that had been left for everyone to enjoy. Reason i know about the treats, is because i purchaed them for ALL the residents to enjoy during bingo and after. I caught this thief taking all the remaining treats back to personal apartment. I confronted the person, asking why the large amount of treats was being taken away. The person lied, and said the treats were a gift. I know that was false. Since i just left the Bistro, after helping another person select a few cookies. There was no one there to authorize giving the treats as a gift to this person. Personally, i am tired of this company not dealing with residents that need additional supervision and or care. Not being offered by Independent Living. We, the residents able to live within Independent housing guidelines, are tired of using large amounts of our personal time, to help keep these few unstable individuals under control. This company, wants money. Not safe, honest, stable residence. If the correct action had been taken. These few noted residents would have been placed within Assisted or Memory Sections. The End of my trueful tale!

What can I say. My mother signed up for an apartment at Arabella!!! Rachel Ramsey did a great job putting my mother and family at ease upon our arrival. She was very friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, and ultimately convinced her to sign up. My mother even met some new friends. We toured the facility about two years ago when new, and found it currently being well taken care of. She has not moved in yet but compared to other facilities I would recommend Arabella for indepedant care and definitely visit with Rachel.

Where to start….we moved our Mimi into Arabella in February and everyone from the liaisons prior to her move to the ED to kitchen staff and office staff, everyone has been amazing, friendly and welcoming. Mimi felt at home from the moment she stepped in the door. The apartments are beautiful! Nicer than my home! The activities and amenities are endless and done so tastefully. It's no secret that it can be challenging taking care of loved ones and Arabella is always there to work the kinks out with us. I don't know where we'd be without them!

This was our second visit to Arabella independent living. Both times we were made to feel very welcome by both the staff and residents. The facility itself is beautiful and spacious. There always seems to be something going on in the way of activities that keep the residents engaged and active. We had a very nice lunch in the dining room. Fatima is a jewel. I have been looking for a place for my mom to live and visited Arabella and was given a tour by Rachael Ramsey. Rachael spent two hours with us showing us around and answering all of our questions. Today I brought my mom to see the place, again Rachael was so patient and spent time answering endless questions and gave my mom time to look and process this big decision. We signed a lease and feel good about our decision. We got to meet some of the residents during lunch and was greeted and welcomed well. The food was good too!

I was referred to Arabella of Red Oak by Legacy in Midlothian. I spoke to Amanda Barron Executive Director who directed me to Fatima who invited me to do a tour of the facility and room options as my mother was unable to tour on her own. Fatima was so informative and kind allowing me to Facetime Mom and even reassured my mother of her decision. A few days later Crystal (Wellness director) met with us to do a physical evaluation and eased my mothers anxiety and even joked "get here ASAP we need another nurse in the building" (My mother is a retired RN) I was able to pick up the keys from R. Ramsey who listened to me as discussed how to navigate the unknown waters. Upon moving Mom in, staff introduced themselves, provided Mother a monitor to press if she needed anything. That evening flowers were delivered welcoming Mom home. Mom has sent photos of the food to the 5 of us kids and raved (if you know my mother, this is a miracle). After 3 days Mom ventured to dining room where she had Tomato Soup and Grilled cheese and stated "as good as La Madeline". The chef introduced himself, and Amanda stopped by the table to say hello before she left for the day. The courtyard Mother has access to is quiet and clean. I love my Mother very much and have been her caregiver for last 4 years so to release her to such a stellar community was made easier with every interaction. My Mother has raised the 5 of us and we are so glad that Carol Jean now calls Arabella of Red Oak home.

The memory care coordinator, Erinn Mugford, always has activities and games or exercises planned for the residents and makes sure to get to know and understand each person there. Trust that if you have family there she will make sure they are cared for properly!!

Independent living bldg, second floor, have unanimous men entering from locked secure side doors late at night. They (3+) young men (less than 55+), have been seen, numerous times, entering to access a second floor apt. They have available codes or hardware to access side doors from ground level, late at night, going up stairs to enter a second floor apt. The men apparently reside in apt at night. One one has seen them leave apt during daylight hours. They are not working at Arabella and no one knows why they are able to access bldg and stay in a apt. Questions have been asked of staff, regarding these men. A response has not been noted. Residents are becoming concerned and are talking about going to police and or Red Oak newspaper to file complaints and or file noted comments for people outside Arabella to review. It has been noted that the owners of bldg know of these issues and have not addressed and ir resolved these issues.

I meet Erinn prior to my mom moving into Memory Care and she immediately showed excitement and love toward her before even meeting her. Mom has been here since Dec 2022 and all the ladies who take care of the the memory care residents are incredible! I moved my mom with dementia into Arabella memory care on an emergency basis because my dad was her primary care giver and had sudden health issues. The staff was amazing at getting my mom in and tending to her needs. My mom has done really well there and is eating more now than she did when she was at home. My family and I are very happy with the care she's receiving and Errin the Coordinator of the memory care unit has kept us in the loop every step of the way and always sends me updates. The only thing I wish they would do more of are outings. I think they are working on this but so would love for the memory care patients to be include on outings... even if it's just to get out for ice cream. But overall, very pleased and would recommend.

We were looking for a home for Dad and found it here. I absolutely love Arabella. We came out on a tour with Ms.Wilson, she was very professional, welcoming and understanding. She greeted us with a smile and was very knowledgeable of this community. I trust that Dad will love living here. This ia a great community, with a great, caring staff. We have a family friend who is a resident here and she loves it. We have visited on several occasions and the area is always secure and very clean,. They have a chef that prepares meals and the menu has variety from day to day and week to week. I have spoken to and they love it as well. They have a veteran wall and several veterans that are part of the community. Great feature honoring them. I considered the Arabella community for my mom, but we don't live locally anymore. I would highly recommend them to anyone searching. They are still at the top of our list in comparison to what we've found locally. Great Community!!

My mother recently passed away but had made Arabella her home for almost a year prior. She was in the assisted living portion and I know little about the others. Initially my mother did not like it there one bit. She was not ready to give up her independence and familiarity with home. After a rocky start she began to really enjoy the facility, the staff, the food, and the activities. I went to Arabella many times to do for or take my mother somewhere. I got to know most of the residents and staff. I wouldn't hesitate to take Mom back to Arabella if it was possible. They were attentive to my mother's needs. Of course nothing is perfect, especially with staffing as it is today. By the end I considered them extended family and could see they genuinely cared about my mother.

My father has been a resident of Memory Care at Arabella of Red Oak for over fourteen months now. The facility is very nice and always clean. We are so appreciative of the care that he receives. The staff makes a great effort to know the residents and the families. It's nice to be acknowledged by name by the staff and administration and to hear stories of our father and what the staff and administration learned about him. We can tell they spent time getting to know him, even though English is not his first language and as his memory fades he has reverted to his birth language. It was quite an adjustment at the beginning but with the help of everyone working together as a team, he now seems happy, enjoys his meals and snack times and participates in activities (sometimes - he's more of an observant but at least he is encouraged to come out of his room). We visited several facilities but in the end we found Arabella to be the nicest and most family oriented environment.

My wife and I have been residents at Arabella of Red Oaks for one year. We have experienced a good life here. There are some exceptions, but overall we are doing okay here. The food is okay, especially the stuffed bell peppers. It's too bad that the waiting for food service is so very slow. Sometimes we had to leave because the service was slow. We would recommend the place to seniors looking for a place to live. We appreciate the help we receive from Chris and Tommy and also from Ms. Beira Ruiz. These people go out of their way to help. Another person who was very helpful was Celeste Orozco; too bad she is no longer with us. We wish her success in her new endeavors.

It took me 2 1/2 years to make the decision to put my mom in a assisted living community. My sister and I agreed on Arabella of Red Oak it hadn't even opened yet, because COVID hit. Anyways she move into the memory care unit and the staff there at 1st was fantastic then, and my mom loved it she was happy to be there. Then a turn over in staff. A new director was placed there and we never knew it and all of a sudden my mom no longer wanted to be there anymore. She kept saying that the staff and residents were mean to her physically. My sister and I went to visit her one Saturday and my mom was incoherent she was slouching to her left side unable to talk or move. We asked how long has she been this way and why were we not notified of her condition. I was told that she was this way for a few days. My sister and I took her to the ER, and come to find out they were overdosing her on sedatives. I pulled her out and put her in another facility and she is thriving. She's still can't walk and probably won't be able to. What they did to her did a lot of damage. Like I said before when the place 1st opened they were fantastic the staff was nice and you could get people to respond to but after that turnover the new director of the facility is terrible it's awful. The 1st picture is of my mother when she 1st went into the facility the 2nd one is the day I took her out to the hospital. She was only there for a year. When I tried to get reach out to the director to talk to him about this I never got a response I guess because I had already pulled her out, But some kind of acknowledgment would have been nice. Please, DO NOT put your loved one in here. I believe I have given enough time for someone to respond to me it's been since October, and still no one has reach out to me or my sister about this. The 3rd picture is of my mom where she's at now, and she loves it there.

Did I mention that its only a short drive to local shops and restaurants? Ive interacted with wonderful employees, and I am confident this would be a lovely place to call home.

Arabella is a brand new independent living, assisted living and memory care community. The second you walk in their doors it smells amazing. The residents looked like they were having so much fun and the staff was very engaging. They have a lot of high end finishes and is a place I would be proud to bring my mom to.
