We just moved Dad into Simpson Meadows Assisted Living Community. We are so happy with our choice, he has been so active with things to do. The community is beautiful and food is delish. The care staff have been wonderful attending to his needs as he needs more help each day but we can sleep at night knowing he is looked after and medications are being properly managed all in this beautiful setting its like being on vacation every day for him. Tim the director has gone out of his way to make sure Dad is adjusting well and making new friends

I toured with Tim yesterday, and the community was absolutely beautiful and felt so homey. The memory care neighborhood truly stood out to me ” the residents looked awake, vibrant, and full of energy, and everyone was well-groomed and cared for. It was heartwarming to see the staff so engaged and present with each resident.

For those of you considering Simpson Meadows as an independent living facility you need to be aware that while they do have independent living they consider themselves a nursing home. What that means is that now during covid-19 they are in total lockdown. people in independent living may come and go as they wish. Inside the facility is being managed as a nursing home and is following the guidelines for nursing homes. Which means no one may enter the building other than residents or employees. They will facilitate a monitored visit between residents and visitors while practicing social distancing. Which sounds good but does not make sense since the residents can walk out the door go to cracker barrel with friends and family then return to the facility with only a temp scan. Just remember you will be living in a facility that is governed by nursing home rules and not an independent living facility rules.

I highly recommend Simpson Meadows for everyone in their retirement/senior years, and for those that are unable to take care of themselves or the the place they live in, and I love all they have done for my Mom and others!!!! Thank you very much for all that you do!!!! Peace and Love, Susie.
