We have family at your facility. Yesterday, while there, a Memory Care, LPN, Garret, I believe, graciously introduced himself. He said he was new there, and asked if we needed anything. It was a pleasant surprise and encounter, as that has not happened on any of our other visits. I guess you could say, it is often the little things that can make a difference, in a visit.

I absolutely love this nursing facility! I love the staff and everything about it! They work so hard and make my company feel so warm and welcomed here! They take good care of the patients! Nurses, aides and all upper management is just amazing! Dietary management and maintenance is also amazing! Choose this Danbury because they rock at what they do!

I visited 5 different places before moving Mom to Danbury Senior Living in Hudson four months ago. As soon as we walked in the door, we could feel the energy and the positive chemistry… Staff smiling at residents as they pass in the hall, asking after them by name… a resident approached us at lunch to give us the "skinny" on the place, about how much he likes it there. The staff clearly care about the residents, and the residents respond. There are numerous and varied engaging activities, including art, live music, bingo, trivia contests, axe throwing, scrabble and dominoes, lunch outings, special holiday meals, and Mon-Fri seated exercise that's accessible to all - and they make it so much fun! The food… the FOOD! I've tried institutional food at many care facilities, and Tim and staff top the chart. During the pandemic, Tim had to develop his own soup recipes since canned soup was in short supply… and he's taken it over the top. DON'T MISS THE SOUP! The dining room is open all day long - you are not restricted to timed seatings - and guests are welcome even if you don't call ahead to reserve. The fish and chips is deep-fried PERFECTLY. Dad loves the omelets. And the waitstaff are friendly, engaged, and caring. Mom has moderate stage dementia, incontinence, and is wheelchair-bound and lives in the regular assisted living part of the facility (not memory care). She wears a call button on a lanyard to ask for help when she needs it. I cannot stress enough how much this community has embraced her, and she, them. There are SO MANY PEOPLE looking out for her there. I hadn't imagined she could be this happy at her current health status. UPDATES IN THIS SECTION… Unfortunately, like every other care facility, they are seemingly chronically short-handed in nursing and resident care aides. Sometimes the wait is way too long after Mom presses her call button, and she's not getting changed often enough. Sometimes they miss one of her shower days. They seem to be working hard to recruit and train new staff, but I do not feel they're being held accountable to adequate expectations. They are taking in a lot of residents who need a high level of care, and as of this moment I don't feel they're staffed adequately to follow through. Like every other care facility (mom's been in four in the past two years), being present for your person is critical. We felt it necessary to put two cameras in place in Mom's apartment to help us help her - and to help us troubleshoot when Mom can't tell us what's bothering her, or finds herself on the floor unaccountably (yes, it happened once - before cameras - and thankfully she was OK). The cameras have been valuable for us when Mom is having a tough time and just needs comfort - they enable us to peek in and even talk to her when she can't figure out how to answer her phone.

Under Staffed for the money that is paid. Avoid the Danbury in Hudson. Over promise and under deliver. Over promise of cave given. 30min - 1hour+ on response time when Assistance Pendant is pressed. Place is a money sponge. Pay for 100% and Family member gets 40% or less of the assistance that is paid for and promised. Nurses are overworked. Attendants are understaffed and seem to avoid doing any work. I want a refund do to the lack of care and service. Staff turnover is out of control. New Executive Director 2nd since January 2024 and new Director of Nursing (DON) 3rd since January.

Danbury of Hudson is under staffed. 2nd Director this year 3rd DON since January of 2023. 3rd Director of Life Enrichment since 2020. Nurses working 18Hr shifts. Not enough Nurses during the day or night. 2 Nurses during the day and 1 at night. Massive turnover in staffing. Medication not always given out. Staff is for wall dressing not effective. A few Nurses' attendants change their name tags to confuse residents and Family. Response time of 30-40 min after pressing assistance pendant.

In search of a place for aging relatives, my husband and I toured Danbury. What a beautiful facility in a tranquil location. There are many activities and the resident that we spoke to said the food is very good. I would highly recommend you check it out. Kaycee, who showed us around, was so pleasant and professional to talk to.

My mom is a current resident at Danbury Hudson and she receives wonderful care. The new Executive Director truly cares about the patients, families and their experience. She works at the bedside and behind the scenes.I am thankful for the care they provide for my mother.

Danbury Hudson has exceeded my expectations. The staff go above and beyond every day caring for residents and making them feel welcome. I have a good feeling in my heart when I am at Danbury visiting my parents Laura, the marketing director, was aware of our tight timeline and did everything possible and more to help us through a stressful time and always with a smile and a can do attitude. Virginia and the nursing staff have been awesome and are very attentive. Chef Tim prepares a variety of delicious meals 3x a day which are served by the very friendly and pleasant servers. Front desk personnel greet visitors and residents with a warm smile and are happy to help with anything needed. You can ask any staff a question or make a request and they handle it right away or find the person who can handle right away. The Danbury staff are compassionate and caring and truly make the difference. The facility itself is beautiful, resort like. Plenty of activities to keep residents engaged and busy. The staff know each resident and call them by name. I highly recommend Danbury Hudson if you are looking for an assisted living facility. It is a wonderful place.

I can not say enough good things about the wonderful staff at Danbury in Hudson. The Marketing Director and Nursing Director went above and beyond for my parents. They went out of their way to accommodate us and we were always treated with kindness, patience and caring. I would highly reccomend Danbury to anyone looking for an assisted living facility. I have had experience with many different facilities and this was far and above the best customer service and beautiful living spaces that I have seen.

This is a very special place. My family has had first hand experience with several care and rehab facilities. Danbury Hudson is far and away the best we encountered. While the physical facility is lovely, it is the people who make all the difference. From our first encounter through the last, everyone treated our loved one with professionalism, kindness, and compassion. Equal weight is put on attending to both physical and emotional needs, and maintaining the dignity of the residents. We also felt supported and welcomed as family members. We are forever grateful to the Danbury team.
