In January my parents who are in their early 80s, moved into Clearwater Ahwatukee from their home in AZ. The transition that was needed was very scary and different from the life they had been living. From day one the staff was beyond kind, compassionate, and patient with both my parents, my sister and myself. They took the time to help all of us in this massive transition and continue to share humility that is needed for such a life change at this age. My sister and I have never been more comfortable and gracious for the continued open dialog and precise explanations of all the services, opportunities and most importantly, eyes on, our parents. We just want to know they are okay, and, they are! My Dad is suffering from dementia and my mom is his caregiver. The process of Parenting Parents is SO MUCH EASIER with them being at Clearwater Ahatukee. My sister and I are out of state and visit when we can, but the communication with the management is open when we ask for it and my Mom continues to say how wonderful it is to be a resident here. The accolades she gives the staff and the overall residence community, for her situation, is stellar. Her comfort cannot be more perfect even with the new hurdles facing her daily with our father. Personally, I feel like they are in the very best place for them at this stage. I am grateful and overwhelmed with the staff who consistently smile and provide kindness to my parents daily. Thank you beyond these words. I am happy that we are not alone on this journey and for what feels like a miracle, we are all here together. PS. After submitting this review I read other reviews and there are some that talk about the decor. I don’t know about 2 years ago, but the place is like an art museum. From the different paintings in each hallway, to the decor all around the facility, I hold back the temptation from becoming an art thief with each visit. The place is clean, tight and welcoming. I find a new piece of art to admire with each visit as I do hallway laps with my Dad. Don’t allow old reviews to sway your opportunity to visit if you or your parent(s), are looking for a community to live in.

You can stop your search for your assisted living facility. Here at Clearwater you find the most positive mental attitude among the residents. As in the three bears story, this place is JUST RIGHT. The atmosphere is continually full of life with all the amenities. The apartments are so efficient for each ones needs, the entertainment is ongoing, the physical activity is efficient for each ones needs, the food menu is healthy and varied. Don’t pass this opportunity to come and join a staff that is continually there for all your needs immediately with an added smile and genuine support. Welcome home!

We had such a wonderful experience touring Clearwater Ahwatukee Assisted Living and Memory Care. Diana gave us a warm welcome and an incredibly informative tour”she was knowledgeable, kind, and made us feel right at home. During our visit, we enjoyed lunch, and the service provided by Tyler and Eraina was exceptional. They were attentive, friendly, and made the meal feel special. The food itself was absolutely delicious”fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so enjoyable. It's a lovely place and the sales staff is great. Unfortunately if you plan to use long term care insurance, beware... Clearwater Ahwatukee does not qualify as a "Long Term Care Facility"... at least not with CNA. I wish Clearwater Ahwatukee was able to work with us to find a solution, but contacting anyone at Clearwater (locally or corporately) who is actually empowered to make a decision seems to be impossible. In summary, if you're paying out-of-pocket, it's a great place. But if you plan to pay for your loved one's care using long term care insurance, pay very close attention to the language of the policy and ask detailed questions before moving your loved one in.

We are very pleased with Clearwater of Ahwatukee for out family member. We were given a detailed tour and the sales staff was patient with all our questions. The grounds and interior are kept spotless and the do a great job with the interior cleaning of our family members home. The place is very nicely decorated and seems more like an upscale hotel. The rooms are well planned out with grab bars and emergency pull alarms for staff to respond 24/7. I was most impressed with how friendly staff and the residents are. We have visited probably 20 times since they moved in and I’m very impressed how genuine staff is to you. The really try hard to get you settled in and take care of issues that occur. Everyone really seems to enjoy working there which shows that management is doing a good job as well. We have also had meals at both restaurants and found the food to be as good as a restaurant. The desserts were even better. The offer so many different levels of support for a fee for laundry service, prescription help, food delivery to your room and more. They also help with a medical issues, physical therapy, transportation and more. The activities are great with movie night, bingo, high tea, arts and crafts and more. They even have a monthly town council with residents to be involved in their community. I would highly recommend Clearwater. It may seem expensive but once factoring in housing mortgage, food, cleaning, landscaping, transportation, and utilities then it’s pretty reasonable.

Clearwater Living in Ahwatukee is a wonderful senior residential community offering unlimited amenities and activities for all residents. Clearwater is beautiful inside and well appointed. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice and friendly everyone was. Our family also enjoyed a delicious meal in the Tuk Cate. Louise Penrod took the time to show us around and it was time well spent. I am a relatively new addition to the residents here at Clearwater. I have some experience with other facilities through friends and family. The opinion of all is that this facility is head and shoulders above the others in this area. The staff is pleasant and responsive to the needs of the population, on a level I have not seen elsewhere. I would strongly recommend that you seriously consider Clearwater to provide for you or your family in need of excellent care.

Nice facility although it could use some updates it’s a few years old so carpets and other things are starting to show the age. They just replaced the lousy director Breann with a new director who seems much more professional and competent. She also seems more in tune to the problems. I’m looking forward to seeing the changes made that will make the place a five star again. They regularly don’t have enough staff at the restaurants. The staff that’s there is always complaining they are short handed. The rent is a fortune. They charge my dad nearly 10,000 dollars per month and they refuse to budge on rent. I’m curious what other people who have family here are paying. Everyone please post so we can compare notes. Maybe we can do some collective bargaining.

My mother recently moved here. She's high maintenance at the best of times, but because she doesn't handle change well she's gone off the deep end several times. The staff has consistently been extremely kind, patient, and upbeat with her. So far someone has stopped by on a daily basis to ensure that she's making it to meals (or offering to deliver to her). Every staff member we pass by introduces themself to her and offers their help. Sheri can manage mom's ... issues... with a finesse I find remarkable. (I told her I want lessons.) Pam has captured her heart and earned her trust - not an easy feat. Ben kindly called her bank for her today after she misplaced one of her bills. Dawn in the Tuk managed to get a smile out of her. I have no idea how they find such a consistently great crew! Many of the residents are also very kind - offering directions, introducing themselves and offering cheery hellos as we pass by. I'm really expecting mom to be happy here once she gets settled in. Edit 10/10/23 Pretty frustrated that her land line regularly quits working. This has happened intermittently for months now, and she keeps being told that they're stuck in a contract with the phone provider. Last I heard, contracts worked both ways: you pay for a service and they're responsible for actually providing it. It seems as if the contractor isn't being held accountable for holding up their end. The 3 stars are for Pam. Thank heaven she's still there!

My mom has lived here for a year and a half and our family couldn’t be happier about her new home. The staff genuinely care about the residents and have been very accommodating to Mom’s needs. She recently had surgery and upon her return, the staff have rallied around us to help Mom complete her recovery. Special thanks to Doris - Wellness Director, Sherry - Caregiver Supervisor, and all of the caregivers and med techs who have provided extra care and concern for Mom during this time. Our family has great peace of mind knowing Mom lives in such a safe and caring environment. The staff is truly like extended family and we appreciate you all so much!

This is an amazing place. When I first visited I thought I had walked into a high end resort like the Phoenician or Hyatt. My mom is 98 and the staff is always taking her to activities like jewelry making, & crafts. The staff is amazing. They check in on her just to say hello. She no longer needs to travel for medicare physical therapy, they have a gym and also do in room sessions, they set it all up for her. The food is amazing according to my mom. This place feature a large movie theater room, English style tea room, heated pool & spa, wine room, library, puzzle table, pool table and so much more. I love that they provide independent & assisted living plus memory care. The resident are very friendly. Amazing Place!

Apart from the place being nice and clean it's not all that great. Some of the wait staff in the dining room are rude to the elderly, happy to give names. The other half is great though! The place is short staffed so it can be a while for the elderly to get a hold of someone to turn on the TV or anything of that matter. On top of that, my family member had things stolen from his room, first time they stole his wallet, the second time money from his wallet. Third time they stole a box filled with coins. But that was a while back so could be they fired the staff involved. They only go into their rooms to clean ONCE a week. These are elderly people we are talking about... completely unacceptable. They also charge for the littlest things, 20 dollars EVERY time we wanted someone to come and make the bed (for those that are dependents). I would honestly recommend looking else where unless these issues are resolved. Unless other places are worse off.

I go visit a couple that lives here and they absolutely love it. They moved in when the place first opened and so they’ve seen it grow and mature into what it is today. The apartment is spacious, there are two bedrooms in this particular model with a Full kitchen. The back patio is very convenient for those with dogs because they’re able to get out directly from the apartment. Staff is amazing and attentive. And the food looks delicious.
