Having recently moved in, my husband and I have been very happy with our decision and pleased with how quickly we are finding it to feel at home. It is comfortable and both the staff and fellow residents have been friendly and helpful. Still finding out about the opportunities and activities but very happy with the decision.

The Springs Assisted Living facility at Carmen Oaks is a remarkable place. I just spent Thanksgiving there with my special (almost 105 years old) cousin. It felt like home. The round table was set aside for us with a festive centerpiece, table cloth and napkins. All so nice. There were several courses leading up to the entry plate which was really, really good. The turkey was moist and tender and came with all the trimmings you could expect at home including green bean casserole. We all enjoyed the meal. I am grateful to Blair, the manager, for welcoming me and also allowing me to spend the nights there. She could know the value of this gesture as she did not hear my cousin say over and over, I’m so glad you are here. I am grateful to all the staff for their friendliness to me and for their commitment to our families. Thank you Blair, JoJo, Nancy, Charlie and many others whose names I do not recallI appreciate all of you.

Every time I stop by The Springs at Carman Oaks I'm blown away by the beautiful campus and amenities. Andrew is always a huge help and resource, making sure everyone is getting connected to the services they need.

My mom was living at another Memory Care facility and when it was time to find a new place, there was a lot to consider since she had been in care for many years. We found The Springs at Carman Oaks through a neighbor's referral, and it has been perfect for her at this stage in her dementia journey. The staff is loving, thoughtful, thorough, and always checking in with us to ensure she has everything she needs to remain happy and comfortable. They gave us numerous ways to get a hold of them even when we're not there visiting, and it has really given us peace of mind during a big move. We're so grateful for their care of my mom and concern for our family.

As a current resident, I am extremely satisfied with the community. I have made great friends, I enjoy the activities and have found menu items to be very adequate. I appreciate the caring and creative staff and would recommend Carman Oaks to anyone.

When my wife passed I looked around and when I came here I found friendly staff & friendly people where ever we toured. i am living here a while now & the staff is always available & very caring & that includes from the servers to the managers. There are plenty of activities to keep us busy if we are interested. Movies, swimming, exercising, trips to somewhere weekly (in fact next Friday I am looking forward to the Portland Art Museum). The main thing are residents are happy & I certainly recommend the Springs to anyone interested in Independent Living.

When we decided that it was time for us to move to a Senior Living arrangement, we chose Carman Oaks because it met our requirements and it was right in our neighborhood. After two months of experiencing this place, we have found that it is just what we were looking for! The staff is first class, there is just the right mixture of recreational activities, the food is great and the management is working hard to deliver it to the residents even though there is a shortage of dining room staff...a shortage being experienced throughout the Country! We love our apartment and have been able to decorate it so that it feels just like home. The grounds are great with walking paths through landscaped wooded areas...a real plus for anyone who enjoys a walk in the woods! I think that the thing that sets this place apart is that most of the residents seem very happy! I would recommend Carman Oaks to anyone seeking an Independent Living Arrangement for their Senior Years!

We've been very happy with the care my in-laws have received at The Springs at Carman Oaks. We've used all levels: Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. The staff is caring and eager to help and welcomes suggestions from family members. We highly recommend this retirement community to others.

When my husband and I were looking for a place to live after we sold our house, we had no idea what to look for. We looked at some places that seemed too formal, too expensive or in the wrong location, but when we walked into the lobby of the Spring at Carman Oaks, it was casual, but nice, people were talking to each other and laughing, the staff was friendly with us and with the residents. It seemed just right. It has a swimming pool and a wonderful library. Both of those things were a big draw for us. When my husband passed away this year, I was so grateful not to be in our house alone and have to deal with all of that. I was in a place where I could be alone if I needed, or with people at whatever level I chose. The Springs was a great choice for us and now for me!

Our family has been extremely pleased with our experience at The Springs at Carman Oaks. We whole-heartedly recommend Carman Oaks to all our friends. Every single staff person we have had the privilege of working with has been so kind, compassionate and helpful. That includes the administrative staff, waiters/ waitresses, housekeeping, receptionists, EVERYONE. To a person, they have shown they really care about the residents and treat them as their friends and almost an extension of their family. They are the best!
