Greetings! I have been living at the Chelsea for six months. If you are considering a similar decision, I enthusiastically support your thinking. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. An added incentive is the extent to which the support staff will continually seek feedback as to your satisfaction level. On at least two occasions, staff have been tenacious in helping to resolve my concerns. From personal experience, I can assert the value that such assistance has to residents. I have two sisters in assisted living at The Chelsea of Brookhaven. When they had an accident and required assisted living, I researched a number of facilities before choosing The Chelsea. The primary reason were that it is within easy visiting distance for many family members, and even more important, the quality of the staff at the facility. It has been 7 months and I do not regret my decision even slightly.

This review is based on first hand knowledge of my stay at The Chelsea. My father is a resident there and an amazing policy they have is that family members can visit and stay overnight for a few days. I had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with most all departments. Home Health Aids, Certified Nurse Assistants, Medical Techs and Nurses. The Dining room, housekeeping and maintenance area's as well. The exterior and interior is maintained in a very professional manner. The dining room serves outstanding meals. The Lifestyles department has a great program of activities. The front desk concierge is always a wealth of information. All the staff are very happy and helpful. I will recommend this community to anyone having experienced it first hand. Thank you very much . Kevin J.

My mom passed away a week ago, and I had had her in senior living facility in California and long island then I moved her to the Chelsea of Brookhaven It was by far the best run the most caring people the best food its the four seasons of senior living facilities and I could not have picked a better place for my mother to live the last years of her life. If you have a family member that you really love, you should do the right thing and visit the Chelsea Brookhaven.

My mom is going through a very emotional transition after leaving her home of 30+ years, and we were all feeling overwhelmed and unsure. From the moment we met with Michelle, we felt seen, heard, and genuinely supported. She was incredibly understanding and made my mom feel safe, welcomed, and cared for during a time when she was feeling scared and uncertain. The entire staff has been kind and warm, and the residents we met were so friendly”it truly feels like a community. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, and inviting, which brought us so much peace of mind. It’s a huge relief knowing my mom will be living in such a supportive and loving environment. We’re so grateful to Michelle and the team for making this transition feel like a positive new chapter instead of something to fear.

I recently returned from visiting my Mom at Chelsea again. Reinforcing my first impressions last year, this is an extremely well run facility with pleasant and friendly staff. Derek Gentile and his staff ensure the facility is clean, beautifully decorated and well maintained. The communications by Derek through Facebook and emails are thorough, accurate, enlightening and much appreciated since I live in Florida. There are many daily activities for the residents to help maintain a healthy, active, brain-supporting lifestyle. Medical and personal care are also omnipresent. The apartments are equally beautiful and well maintained. Our Mom reports the food is very good , but most importantly, Mom loves it there! We couldn’t ask for a better facility.

The Chelsea at Brookhaven was the best place i could have ever imagined placing my mom. After a short adjustment period she grew to love the residents and the staff and they her. Plenty of activities and social get togethers if they want to participate She felt safe and was cared for properly. I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful staff, residents and facility. The memory care unit is very bright and cheerful, a far cry from several other facilities we toured when looking for a home for our father. Most are secluded and not well lit. The activities/TV room and the dining room are clean and spacious. Meals are presented with place settings and name cards - and colorful plates, and they typically play music and sometimes sing. These are all small touches that make it a welcoming environment. Our father was in failing health when he joined the Chelsea so our experience there was short lived but we are grateful that he was able to be a part of the community for the time that he was there.

Derek, the Executive Director of the Chelsea has been very kind and fair in helping with my mother's transition. The studio apartment comes with a kitchenette and is perfect as my mom was living independently in a condo prior to fracturing her pelvis. It gives her independence while at the same time provides her with the support she needs. The doctor, physical therapist and care coordinator have all reached out to me making sure I have their contact information if I should have any questions. I can sleep at night knowing she is safe and that there are activities she can participate in and enjoy.

Husband has been resident in Memory Care since December 2, 2022 - unfortunately he was re-admitted to hospital - 2x - once in December and again in January - However both admissions were necessary and result of RN and staff recognizing acute changes in his status. He has been out of hospital , now since end of January - once problem identified an d treated and with staff close observation and caring - he has thrived ! He has his own room - has ability to walk about facility at his will - facility clean and his personal hygiene is well cared for. I can visit anytime and even have meal with him (if I let them Know ahead of time) - I would highly recommend this facility for Memory Care needs of your loved ones
