We cannot say enough good things about Modena Cherry Creek. Liz, the Executive Director, as well the entire staff, are incredibly professional, warm, and attentive, and it’s clear they truly care about residents. The food (ahem, banana pudding!) and dining experience are outstanding! Far beyond what you’d expect from senior living. The community is beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, and the units are much larger than most options in Denver. Overall, the combination of sophistication, care, and convenience really sets this place apart. Anyone would be lucky to live here. Highly recommend and grateful for this amazing community!

Our mother is truly valued at Modena. The staff consistently goes above and beyond to ensure she is cared for with kindness, dignity, and genuine compassion. Because of them, we have tremendous peace of mind knowing she is safe, comfortable, and treated like family. My wife Maureen was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia and along with her brother, I started searching for Memory Care facilities. I hired a memory care advisor who took me to many places from very large to houses dedicated to memory care with 24-hour staffing for 10-12 people. I am glad the advisor took me to Modena Cherry Creek. It is a beautiful facility. Maureen's room had a view of the open space where Cherry Creek itself runs. She loved looking at the trees and birds. There are also paths along the creek to walk. The staff and administration were marvelous and caring not only to the residents but to their families. You as a family member are kept up to date on care. As Maureen declined, the staff stepped up in assisting with eating, showering, and general care. I understand that since Maureen passed after a three-year stay, Modena has even upped its ability to care for the residents including having an x-ray and other equipment on-site. I left the food for last. The food has always been generous but a year or so ago a top chef was hired. The other night when I was there and had the home-made clam chowder. I was as excellent as the chowder you can have on the east coast. This wasn’t just a one off’. I give Modena the highest recommendation from one who was there most every day for three years and goes over now about every two weeks to visit with a friend, to whose wife I recommended Modena. PS: I still get hugs and greetings from staff that I knew some two years ago before Maureen passed away. That also helps with pleasant memories for the times you wished would never happen to your loved one.

My mom has been at Modena Cherry Creek since January of 2022, first in Assisted Living and now in Memory Care. The staff is comforting, kind, and patient with my mom and all of the residents. I feel secure knowing that my mother is well taken care of, and I am always greeted with smiles whenever I drop in for a visit. The environment is beautiful and the food is great. The activities team is always coming up with creative and exciting events/outings to keep the residents active and engaged. When first coming here, it was a hard transition in, but it only took a little time to adjust because everything was so new. The food is excellent (I love the pie and fried chicken), and I love that the mealtimes are super open. There is also so much variety for activities that are offered, they have a lot of things to choose from so you can find something you like! And, most importantly, the staff is so warm and friendly. I love how small the community is because it truly does feel like family.

He loves the food, the new friends, and all the activities, including an on-site Physical Therapy team. Everyone who's been to Modena knows that it is new and beautiful, but I love his care team. My mother has been in Aspyre, the memory care unit of Modena, since they opened two years ago. I couldn't ask for better care and attention from everyone. There has been very low staff turnover, which is comforting to my mother to see the same smiling faces every day. All staff are committed to knowing each resident and they are very creative in finding activities that appeal to wide range of cognitive levels. The facility is lovely, always clean and feels very much like you have checked in to a beautiful hotel. I have recommended Modena to several friends and all have been very satisfied.

My father has been at Modena for a couple of weeks now. He entered as assisted living, but was borderline memory care. Within one week of being there, he was diagnosed as needing more memory care treatment. In the process, both the front end staff, the nursing staff and operations was super attentive to his needs and did their best to make him feel at home. Modena’s attention to detail and passion for their customer sets them apart. The facilities are also amazing. A smaller place, where you will instantly fit in. The food is off the charts. Hats off to the chef. Would recommend this place to anybody who has a loved one needing assisted-living or memory care.

Wonderful place for my mom After visiting many senior residents in the Denver Metro area my sisters and I chose Modena and couldn’t be happier with our decision. Our mom is receiving wonderful care, the staff is warm , respectful and caring . The activities are endless, there is a calendar of monthly events. When searching for a memory care facility, this place was by far the nicest and felt most like a home. It was brand new when my dad moved in. When he first moved in, everything was amazing! Throughout the year, the employees that made this place so special have come and gone. There used to be fun activities planned and so much thought put into them and the residents, but things have really gone down hill. My dad constantly smells which makes me wonder if he is even getting a shower and not only that, if they are making him change his clothes. No clothes are usually in his hamper and the ones hanging up smell. I can't express how many times we've gone to visit and he has no towels in his bathroom. My mom has purchased numerous towels for him that never make it back to his room. There seems to be a constant shortage of nurses and the nurses who have been hired have been extremely not friendly or helpful. Asking them any question seems to be an inconvenience for them. The fact that we have to walk around and find someone to let us out of the memory care area every time is ridiculous. They seem to be sitting in a corner on their phones while the residents are posted up in front of the TV ALL DAY LONG. It is rare I see the residents doing anything anymore but sitting in front of the TV. I honestly feel as if I'm walking into a psych ward these days. They used to be playing games, coloring, or doing some other sort of activity but they have gotten so lazy in this aspect and do not seem to care about the residents in the slightest. It is so sad, disappointing, and upsetting. We are spending SO much money every month for what?

Long story short, NEVER send ANYONE you care about here!!! My father was in memory care and they were at less than half capacity, so you'd think they could provide decent, responsible care. Within a week his first fall was a mystery. He had serious bruising and a cut wrist, but no one could say exactly when or where or how he got hurt. A few days later, while we were searching for a better option, he fell while standing up in the main living area. He was the only resident there and 2-3 staff members were across the room. Staff watched it happen, and even though he was know to have balance issues and was prone to standing up abruptly, no one thought to position him near a staff. He smashed his head on an end table and died about 10 days later. The facility is beautiful and they tout the dining options. Several individual caregivers were also excellent. The company culture is just so twisted to place so much emphasis on appearances and to value actual care so little. Just stay away from this place.I wish we had this to do over, but I hope your loved one can be spared the horror we experienced.

It was challenging to get through the covid-19 rules and regs, but all the while, I knew my mom was being lovingly cared for by compassionate professionals at Modena Cherry Creek.This is a new and extremely nice facility with a hotel-like ambiance and activities for all. The building and decor is beautiful and the care takers were precious to my mother.

Emily Skoney and the management team and staff at Modena have far exceeded my expectations. From the first time I toured the community to reviewing the contract, to coordinating the move, their level of customer services is always impeccable. They welcomed my mom with open arms, and made her feel special and taken care of. I am continually impressed with the overall ambiance of the space, the sense of community, the wide variety of social activities, and the positive staff members who always have a smile on their faces. My mom is so much more content being part of the Modena family, and I know that she has a deep sense of belonging there. The facility is well done and brand new. 100% of staff and residents are vaccinated. The staff has made my friend feel at home and after two weeks she is satisfied with her move to the facility. Between being new and the pandemic there appears to be some shifting visitor requirements but the staff is getting the kinks worked out.
