The whole crew of the entertainment were amazing , Diahan and her staff are amazing . Crystal and Alexa were great . Landa was extra special. The rehab team took such good care in getting me back on my feet . Maya and Joanne get me going with my therapy and I am grateful. There are so many people I want to say thank you to Janel , Mirielle , Salomon, Gifty, Nordia , so many special people . I made so many friends here and I am happy .

Words are not enough to express how wonderful the move for our parents to the Residence was. After 60 years in their home, they moved to a beautiful two bedroom apartment in October 2023. They took advantage of the multitude of activities and made new friends along the way. Sadly our mom passed away in March 2026 but because of the built in community our dad already had, the transition was more manageable. As our dad’s health started to deteriorate, the care he received from the aides, the medical staff, and everyone who works at the Residence has been amazing. We then had to move our dad to the memory care floor in June 2026 and are so thankful for the various levels of care available at the Residence. Our parents took advantage of all of them - first independent living, then assisted living, now memory care. If your parent(s) require extra assistance while still maintaining independence, this is the place to be. And you can be rest assured if further care is necessary, it can be provided in place at the Residence with a wonderful and caring staff. I cannot say enough about what a great place this is.

Residence of Summer Street is a wonderful place to age. Its located in the heart of Stamford, with easy access to all that Stamford has downtown has to offer. The staff is always very welcoming and helpful, and they are wonderful partners with many of the resources in the community to help support families with any needs that may arise. If you haven't had the opportunity to visit them I suggest you do.

The facility is always clean and plush and has a welcoming atmosphere. The receptionists, driver, associates and other staff members are friendly and very helpful and seem to be engaged in the safety and comfort of the residents. The food is fabulous. Their transportation to medical appointments and shopping is reliable.

We are in the process of evaluating senior living options for my parents and The Residence at Summer Street stood out and remains at the top of our list. I randomly walked in for a tour as we feel this unannounced approach gives us a great sense and everyday feel for a community. After a warm, friendly welcome from the staff as well as a few residents in the lobby and social areas, the positive experience continued as I received a tour led by The Residence’s Executive Director. Dawn left no stone unturned and her deep knowledge of and enthusiasm for senior living and the overall operations were evidenced throughout the tour, including knowing the residents and their family members visiting on a first name and personal basis. It was encouraging to see this level of hands-on, personable and genuine care and attention to details, especially from the company’s leadership. By the end of the tour most, if not all my questions were answered before I could ask and I walked away feeling very confident that not only would my parents’ immediate needs be taken care of but that the community and care would be a fit long-term. This stage in our lives is very challenging for all involved and presents difficult decisions; it was a relief to walk away from that experience with greater confidence!

I can’t say enough about The Residence at Summer Street. My mother was a resident in Memory Care for 15 months. Dawn and Trayvon were a big part of her transitioning so smoothly. Dawn interacts on a regular basis with the residents and their families. The staff is amazing. They really knew my mother. Sometimes I feel like I write a review too soon, whether it's about an appliance I purchased or service at a nail salon. This review is being written a little over a year after my parents moved to the Residence. We were welcomed into the Residence, given a wonderful tour of the facility, met some very friendly, outgoing residents and knew this was the place for my parents to continue to enjoy their lives. There has never been a person who works there who doesn't have a smile and a friendly greeting. My mother faced some medical issues that were addressed in a professional and caring way. There was never a time that questions were not answered. I'm very grateful for the care and love that my parents have at the Residence. Thank you to everyone who makes it such a wonderful community.

My family and I are so grateful for The Residence of Summer Street and the wonderful care my Mother is receiving there. The hardest decision is selecting where to move your parent as they age to receive the right care’ in this next stage. DawnMarie, Trayvon, and Peter are fantastic! They have made this transition so peacefully and created a wonderful new home and environment where I know my Mother is well taken care of and happy! The staff is very caring and nurturing. My mother has has had an amazing turnaround within weeks of living at the Residence. The facility is beautiful with lots of positive energy. Every one who works there is lovely. Very well maintained, modern senior residence. Rooms are spacious, food is well above standard fair served at other seniorbcare centers. Staff bends over backwards to help residents with their issues.

Seems to be getting better, but the Memory Care floor has been very disappointing for the past 18 months. More like adult babysitting. Memory care residents have been fed, dressed, washed and kept safe; but that’s all. They finally have directors who appear to be competent and attempting to provide the services they promise. But considering the revolving door it remains to be seen if they will stay in these positions. It’s been completely disheartening to visit and see the memory care residents simply sitting and staring off. As well with no consistency to management there’s been no coordination between the babysitters and the the medical staff. Hopefully that changed for the good. You shouldn’t leave someone here unless you can visit VERY often to check on their treatment, and ride herd on the staff.

We have been very happy with our parent’s experience here. The community is just the right size so that the staff gets to know each resident individually. Special kudos to Frank (engagement director) and Dianna (one of the nurses) who got in front of a potentially critical health issue last year due to being so observant and caring, and acting with urgency. We looked at several other places prior to choosing the Residence at Summer Street) and have never regretted our decision. (The place is also modern and beautiful.)

I currently live at The Residence at Summer Street and enjoy every minute of it in my two room apartment that provides plenty of room and comfort for me. The staff also helps to make my stay pleasant as does the other residents who welcomed me here. Each day activities are available that you can elect to participate in or decide to do something else. Another pleasant fact are the 3 great meals I eat every day without the trouble of shopping for the food, cooking it, and last, but not least, washing the dishes. I must confess there is indeed something about my move that I do regret..... I SHOULD HAVE MOVED SOONER !!!

My mother has been living at the Residence at Summer Street for over 3 months. We were concerned it would take a long time for an adjustment. Not at all, it was quick and seamless. The staff is fantastic. The areas are so clean, and safe. The food has been wonderful too.

We recently placed my mother in law at The Residence at Summer St. for a temporary stay to allow my wife and I to take a break’ from the demands of 24/7 care at our home. As a result of the great care she received during her stay and the increased quality of life she is experiencing, we chose to extend her stay to full time. Jorge, the general manager, and the directors, and staff, have been a pleasure to deal with and they are very open to feedback. After having some hesitant about placing Mom in assisted living care, we are happy to have found the Residence at Summer St.

My father is a 93-year-old resident in Memory Care (Reflections) at the Residence of Summer Street. The Residence of Summer Street is a superior facility in comparison to a high-end facility in Florida. The facility always aims to maintain the Resident’s dignity. The care is very comprehensive. My father no longer needs additional aides, which are expensive. The Facility’s Staff dresses and shaves him nicely every day, helps him with his shower, has an excellent incontinence program, does his laundry, and facility nurses administer his medications. They have an excellent Memory Care Director who knows him well and is helpful in his care and solving any issues. They also collaborate with an excellent geriatric physician who does community visits. The facility is clean and spacious, as is his apartment. The meals are good, and there are many activities for him like exercise group, singing, arts & crafts, TV, special events and other activities. The Staff Maintenance Manager helped to adorn his room with many personal photographs of family, and family can set up a display outside the room about him (which is unique). He has a personal phone and listens to music in his room. We sometimes take walks with him outside, and he often comes to our home for a meal. He has improved physically, mentally and socially since we joined the facility. We could not ask for a better situation for our father.

Hard to imagine a nicer, cleaner, kinder and safer space for a family member in need of assisted living. The daily care, comfort, compassion and competence provided by all of the staff has been superb. From day 1Jorge helped us with a worry-free transition and he has always been available and extremely helpful. I am writing on behalf of my friend Roy who lived at the Residence prior to his passing in June. He was very happy with his room and the services. I recognized within a short time of his arrival at the Residence that his stress level had dramatically improved. Our daily phone calls became a fun discussion of the day’s events instead of dealing with the issues of daily living like house repairs or food preparation. The staff at the Residence were incredibly helpful in providing assistance to Roy whenever he needed it. They are patient and supportive. The director, Jorge, is very experienced and proved to be a real resource for both Roy and me. The only negative about the Residence is that Roy waited too long to make the move to assisted living.

My father has been a resident since December 2020 from the first day at this beautiful facility he has been happy. Leaving a home lived in for over 50 years was very difficult, the Residence staff made this a seamless transition. There is not one day my father does not praise the staff the cleanliness/comfort of his room, the food and how warm the staff is. We cannot compliment the staff at Residence enough. The transition of moving a loved one from their home is a difficult enough event in and of itself. The staff at this Clean, Modern, Safe and Luxurious facility has stepped up above and beyond expectations on every Occassion making this evolution as Seemless as possible. Beginning with the Executive Director Jorge C. to Marlene S in administration, Betsy M, Erica B and Julie R, provide a level of care and commitment that shines glaringly through. Ralph, Mary and Justin (Chef BTW great food) help round out this dynamic team. All of the Personnel in this Memory Unit Who care for our MOM on a daily basis do so in exemplary fashion. We are greatful to have found such an amazing place, a place where everyone really does care about the residents.
