My mother is a resident of Harmony’s Assisted Living community. She is cared for by professional, caring staff in a meticulously clean, well-maintained environment. Outside of these important elements, she is constantly engaged. Staff-led activities within the community as well as in the wider Asheville area keep Mom active. I am grateful for her very positive experience!

The staff is wonderful to speak with, very polite, and personable. The food here is horrible and not supportive of a healthy diet for residents. Dining is not a good experience. So many meals per day, whether one or three, are a requirement in your rent that they do not waive, but healthy meal selections for the dietary needs of residents are not met.

The facilities are nice - do not be fooled. We moved my mom there earlier this year into assisted living. She got very little assistance - just checking on her every once in a while and they would find her on the floor. Same thing when we moved her to memory care, only checking on her sometimes or parking her in the hall. I had numerous problems with the admin staff. Sales/marketing would tell us something, once we moved her in, found out it wasn’t true. Admin would not submit the paperwork to mom’s long term care insurance so that she could get reimbursed. Charged her extra because we left a piece of furniture in her AL apartment because we were told that Habitat for Humanity would take it. Staff had a lot of turnover, when we would say that someone promised us something, we were told that person no longer worked there. The piece of furniture was not moved to her memory care apartment, but moved out when someone wanted the AL apartment. After we moved mom out of the memory care unit and I completely cleaned out the apartment, that same piece of furniture was moved back into the memory care apartment, so they charged her for rent, even though she was no longer living there. They had taken so much money out of her account that we had to get our bank to reverse one of the auto payments and we had to fight with corporate offices for months to get the remaining overcharges. There are other facilities in the Asheville area, send your loved one to one of those.

My 98 year old father has been at Harmony for over two years now. Since the new director began nearly a year ago, there have been so many improvements in all respects: staffing, resident care, dining, and activities. The public areas, inside and out, as well as the individual apartments are very clean, and kept in excellent repair.The residents and family are treated respectfully, by all of the staff, and any concerns are taken care of quickly. There's always a staff member to assist when you need them. I'm very confident that my dad is in the best possible hands, and really can't say enough positive things about the people, and facility at Harmony at Reynolds Mountain.

Harmony at Reynolds Mountain is a beautiful IL/AL facility. There were many struggles until Jamie (Ex Director) and her wonderful team took over. I am there almost weekly and I personally see the care that they have brought into this building. I see how happy the residents and the staff are to be there and the interaction between them shows how much the staff cares about their residents. Everyone is so nice and friendly from the kitchen staff up to the management staff. There are so many activities for the residents, staff, and vendors. This team truly loves their jobs, their vendors but mostly their residents. I would like to thank each of you for the wonderful job you are doing for these residents!

What a truly amazing team at Harmony at Reynolds Mountain!! The new administrator and her team are truly making an amazing improvement at this beautiful community. There have been so many directors and staff members come and go and not really able to make the community what the residents who live there actually deserve... it's a true night and day difference!! The residents are happy, the team are always so friendly - visiting the community is always a delight. You can really tell when people actually care and enjoy their profession. My Mom was an assisted living resident at Harmony for 6 years (she passed away in June). There were some challenges during some of the years, however since the new Executive Director came on board in October, 2024, the facility has made a dramatic turn-around. The management team has worked well together to make it a great place to live (and work). The nursing staff, in particular those who work the second level desk on the A.L. team, are fantastic. The activities available are varied and interesting for those seniors who participate. Mom partook in many of them and was happy for the social interaction. My thanks and kudos to Jamie, Tonia, Kitty, Kevin, Brittany, Michaela, Jenn, Jennifer B., Tina, Leslie, Trish, and so many others that assisted Mom, especially during the last few months.

The facility itself is beautifully maintained, with bright and welcoming common areas. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, providing a cozy environment for my mom to settle into. The daily activities offered were engaging and diverse, allowing her to socialize and stay active, which made a significant difference in her quality of life. What stood out the most was the dedication of the staff. They truly go above and beyond to create a nurturing atmosphere.

My husband, Olson, and I were so grateful he was able to stay at home with me at Harmony with CNA support while he was in Hospice for four months. The company's recent full on response to the devastation of Hurricane Helene, bringing in water, food, generator fuel, and personnel, has confirmed that this is a wonderful place to live! I am so grateful to be here.

My Mother-in-law loves her apartment. It's the perfect size and the kitchen is lovely. The staff, especially Micaela, Kevin and Liz at the desk on weekends are exceptional. Also maintenance is awesome. I can't remember his name but he gets on the repairs asap. The activities are engaging and fun. Now for the food... The lunches are horrid! Hamburger casserole consisted of a chopped up hamburger and a chopped up roll in a bowl. A Reuben made with pastrami the consistency of rubber. A pea and cheese salad that seemed way out of date. Come on kitchen staff. You can do better than that.

You absolutely have to choose this community over others. Beautiful setting on side of the mountain close to downtown Asheville Transportation create care for assisted living. They also have independent living.

Very poorly run. The food is terrible and my brother tried to have it addressed as their marketing says how great it is but in fact all the residents I spoke with say it’s terrible. The Executive Director talks out of both sides of her mouth and isn’t truthful. She had my brother discharged against his will because she had it out for him as soon as he tried to confront the lousy food issue. I do not recommend this place!!!

Seemingly nice on the surface. Indeed, the residents and some employees are kind and well-bred; others not so much. Housekeeping and maintenance are neglectful, not changing a resident's light bulb for over 3 months (And this is included in the package; the company does not want residents changing their own light bulbs.) This simple task was ignored despite repeated requests from the resident and met with dismissal and rudeness on the part of some employees. The company itself has a high turnover rate among all areas of staff, and activities have dwindled in frequency. The kitchen constantly is understaffed and offers very small portions. The food is good half the time and mediocre the other half, and there is a $15 delivery fee to have an employee deliver it to the resident's door. The rents, which start at almost $4,000 a month, are ridiculously high and have been raised a number of times in just two years. Despite this, a number of residents have been without hot water for several months. Residents voice that they do not feel that their concerns are taken seriously, and the Residents' Council is powerless to exact change. This company is the stingiest company I've ever encountered; both to its employees and residents. It detracts from the quality of life of residents in one location to fill the coffers in another. Other reviews state similar sentiments on various platforms. The housekeepers may or may not clean your room and have an attitude when confronted, and the nighttime nursing staff is an absolute nightmare. The worst nurse on staff is "Misty", who is very unprofessional, antagonistic, and uncouth. She is rude to visitors, bullying them and intimidating them even when they are trying to help a resident. She has serious control issues and creates chaos and stress for residents and visitors, even when it is counterproductive for Harmony. This is a seemingly decent place to live, but you would be better off spending your money elsewhere.

The apartments are very nice and the residents are very friendly. The employees are very nice. The new Dining Services Director, Jacey, has turned the dining services department around. She is attentive, listens, and provides a variety of menu options for the residents. The meals are wonderful! I’m very happy living at Harmony.

Direct communication from staff to family in charge of loved ones staying at Harmony is poor at best. It is difficult to contact medical staff in charge and anyone in billing. Time commitment to stay on top of care plan with little feedback from staff.

Beautiful facilities, but I didn’t observe any residents in the assisted living part of the community. Where was everyone? The marketing staff was 20 minutes late for my tour time and then excused herself to talk to another person, so another 5 minute wait. I had a few more questions and called the marketing staff and left a message. Never returned my call, so I selected another facility for my Mom. If they don’t have time to “sell” me on the place and return my calls, then they won’t have time to pay attention to my Mom. 4 weeks later, they called me to see if I want to schedule a tour!! Organizational and attention skills are important in this type of business, not sure if this is important to H at RM staff.
