I recently toured this senior living community while looking for a care facility for a family member, and I was absolutely blown away by the standard of service across the entire campus. The level of hospitality here truly feels like staying at a luxury hotel, and the Director, John Cashion, went out of his way to make us feel welcome and well-informed. I highly recommend this facility to any families looking for a warm and beautifully managed environment for their loved ones.

Our parents chose Corso because it presents itself as a premium senior living community. After our father passed away in January 2026”leaving our mother widowed in the middle stage of dementia”my brother and I experienced a significant gap between her needs and the level of support provided to her in Corso’s independent living setting. There are no assisted living apartments at Corso. Care comes to you. But there was no clear, proactive plan offered for our mother’s daily scaffolding, and it felt as though Corso was simply waiting for her to be ready for Memory Care. I developed a more appropriate plan myself and worked over several weeks to have it formalized and implemented by staff. Although the care plan was approved, my brother and I both personally witnessed staff members not knowing what they were supposed to do and therefore not doing it, yet I was told it was consistently being done. Corso offers an attractive environment with strong attention to aesthetics, entertainment and activity programming. However, staffing levels and communication systems did not keep pace with our mother’s increasing needs. The frontline staff are kind and dedicated, but stretched thin. Also, in less than two years, there were four or five different executive directors”a level of turnover suggesting a lack of organizational health/stability. One of the biggest challenges we encountered appears to be structural: caregiving communication is largely centralized through a single administrative role responsible for approximately 200 residents and communication with their families. The individual in this role was kind and made genuine efforts, but the scope of responsibility is simply too large for one person, no matter how dedicated. A model with two or three staff members sharing this role”each responsible for a smaller number of residents”would improve responsiveness and consistency, but is this a budget priority? For families coordinating care from a distance, timely communication is critical. In our case (me in Maine and my brother in England), gaps and delays in communication created ongoing stress during our workdays”something that should not happen when you are paying top dollar for eldercare. It felt like our mother was in a sink-or-swim situation, where her care depended upon her wandering the building asking for help, and me being a squeaky wheel, a position I resented being put in. We ultimately moved our mother to a smaller, more affordable senior community where her needs are being met kindly and consistently in the type of assisted living setting Corso does not provide. Communication is shared across multiple staff members. The building and d©cor are less fancy than Corso, but the facility is neat, clean, and attractive in a homey way. Most importantly, caregiving is foregrounded. The tension between Corso’s luxury positioning and the lack of resources allocated to support our mother was really painful to experience. Corso is a very large and busy environment that can become difficult to navigate physically and mentally for residents needing more support. During the active senior years when a facility is initially chosen, Corso seems ideal, but we advise that significant thought be given to what happens when elderly brains and bodies decline inside that beautiful but cavernous building. On his deathbed, our father said, Corso has really let me down. We are grateful he never had to see how much our mother struggled after he was gone. It was deeply sad to us and to the other residents who witnessed it, but it didn’t raise the eyebrows that really should have been raised. Our fondest hope is that this story motivates management to consider better models for supporting residents with dementia before Memory Care is clinically indicated.

The care at Corso is great. My concern is dining. No one brought my Mom's lunch to her today (immobile). I went to the Bistro to order a takeout lunch for her. It took one hour to get a spinach salad with bacon. They are short staffed, and that is not acceptable, based on the monthly fee. Please do better!

Update: within 24 hrs of this post I received a personal call from a corporate employee and he could not have been nicer or more empathetic to the situation. As they say, "it's not what happens to you, it's how you respond to it." His call was very enlightening and it sounds like extremely positive changes in this sector are in progress as a top priority. The professionalism of the call really stood out and I'm excited to see what lies ahead in these regards. As I shared with him, my father spent the last 7 mos of his life there and my family and i are completely confident they were the best 7 mos we could've given him relative to his dementia. Highly recommend this property. Initial post: Corso is hands down the most beautiful retirement facility in Atlanta and possibly the southeast. We've been very happy with the care both my parents have received in Memory Care. However, the most glaring drawback to this community is the food is horrible. Apparently this has been an ongoing problem for 3 years and no chef stays for more than a few mos or so due to overwork and lousy pay. It's an absolute shame because we pay premium fees, yet the food quality pales in comparison to the rest of the property. It's such a focal point though because the people depend on it for their meals. This has been brought to management countless times and the only response is "we're working on it." No one seems to care. It just doesn't seem to fit with the outward appearance of the property from a visual perspective. If they could get this piece right, there would be no question about the true luxury of this property.

Every time I walk through the doors of Corso Atlanta I feel the presence of something special. The entrance, the front desk, and the "signature scent" all create a welcoming environment. The sales team and care staff serve their residents, families, and guests at such a high level. Suzanne in sales did two amazing tours with clients of ElderVizor this week. I cannot express how much she made us feel welcomed and made us feel heard. This place is beyond 5 stars!

The place is beautiful I will say that. However, it is always short staffed which I'm almost 100% sure it's because the staff is underpaid. Each resident pays roughly 10k+ to live here and lower staff makes 15? That's insane. The garbage disposal room is absolutely disgusting. The brunch on sundays is subpar at best. They also create so much plastic waste because that's how they deliver the food to the rooms. There is no recycling. Maybe look into something reusable like the facility on Peachtree does. Or something that will decompose.

My husband, Bill Brown, was a resident on the Memory Care Floor at Corso Atlanta from December 1, 2024, until he passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025. Corso is unlike any facility I’ve ever seen”it resembles the warmth of a private Italian villa rather than the sterility of a typical nursing home. But beyond its physical beauty, what made it exceptional was the extraordinary care Bill received while he was there. The experience far exceeded our expectations. I cannot speak highly enough of Selina Sancho, the Supervisor of the second floor, and her team of devoted caregivers. They are, without a doubt, angels on earth. Their patience and loving attention to Bill each day was genuine. You cannot fake that kind of devotion, it must come from the heart. It made all the difference. When Bill was still living at home, he would frequently ask, When are we going back home." I’ve since learned this is a common expression for individuals experiencing memory loss”less about a physical place than a reflection of emotional uncertainty. It’s a way of saying they don’t feel safe or secure. From the moment Bill arrived at Corso, he never asked that question again. Not once did he wonder why he was there or when he would be going home. That, to me, speaks volumes. It tells me he felt truly safe...emotionally, physically, and spiritually. And that is the greatest gift Corso could have given both of us. Selina: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Your unwavering support gave me the comfort and confidence to know Bill was truly seen and cared for”not just as a patient, but as a person. I know I could be persistent at times, always wanting the very best for him, but never once did you make me feel like a burden. You received every concern with compassion and grace, always responding with sincerity and warmth. You made sure Bill was treated with dignity, with tenderness, and with genuine love. That kind of care is rare”and it made all the difference. I will carry my gratitude for you always.

The food program and food service does not match the beauty of the building. It’s a shame how bad it is. Very long wait times. Poor hungry seniors. They’ve cut the quality of the food down to a public school lunch program. Worse, for safety they are responding to emergency button calls on average 30 minutes plus.

My mother had the great privilege of living the last nine months of her life at Corso Atlanta. It was a positive experience for both of us; I live close by and it was easy for me to visit. As you can see online, the building and the decor are beautiful, but even better are the people. The memory care staff, led by the great Selina, were wonderful to my mother and to me as well. I still miss them. I will never forget how they treated her, especially in her very last days. I felt like they cared for her then as they would their own mother. The entire memory care floor is bright and airy and clean. If your loved one tends to wander, there is space to walk around while still being safe and sound. When I came to visit in the evenings, my mother and I enjoyed walking throughout the main floor. There is something different to see around every corner. And interesting artwork everywhere. We especially enjoyed visiting the Creperie for ice cream and cookies. Aster would always greet us with a big smile and would immediately start scooping my mother’s favorite flavor of ice cream. My mother enjoyed interacting with the other residents even though Alzheimer’s had stolen many of her words. Residents and staff downstairs were kind and gentle and encouraging and treated her with respect and dignity, and made her feel like her old self. A few times her old friends visited. One time we all ate in the main dining room and one time we just had coffee in the sunroom overlooking the courtyard. There are also several sitting areas with working fireplaces. It’s such a nice setting to visit with friends and family. I am so thankful that we found Corso! Thank you!

My mom was in Memory Care at Corso for over a year and a half. Corso is close to our house and proximity was such a blessing. The convenience combined with the warmth, hospitality, great-staff, and comfort of the facility made regular visits with mom a joy as oppressed to depressing. My mom had a happy disposition. Regardless, the level of staffing and care, the level of daily activation with Flourish, and the high quality of care made here days as happy as they could be with Alzheimer’s. There were too many amazing and caring team members to name. However, Selena who runs memory care and Taylor feel like they became a part of our family. We are eternally grateful for the quality the amazing team at Corso brought to mom’s last year and a half. THANK YOU!

My wife and I are approachig our one-year anniversary of being Corso Atlanta residents. It's been quite a year full of lots of emotions. I've realized the "happy" emotion makes the decision to move to Corso worth it. I have debilitating neuropathy, so the activities offered have given me noticeable mobility improvement. The cardio, strengthening, water aerobics, and chair yoga are invaluable in that regard to me. And I look forward to the camaraderie of the Veterans lunches held every other month. All in all, we are so glad to be here in Corso. With a caring staff, interesting residents, beautiful surroundings, great meals, responsive management, Corso Atlanta is truly "Our Home".

My client, family and I have just had the BEST experience at Corso Atlanta! Lori Ghassedi our sales director was EXCEPTIONAL in every way: her follow through, professional touring of the community, patiently answering our questions and very patiently touring with us. When it was time to discuss moving and steps to be taken, she was thorough but not overwhelming. We revisited as many apartment floorplans as needed to finally reach our decision. Lori never made us feel rushed OR pressured in any way. My client was graciously offered lunch along with us. It was delicious beyond that of traditional Senior living meals. What a difference. To Lori and all of Corso: THANK YOU for making such a huge difference through just doing the small things that make all the difference!!

The residences and buildings are lovely. However, the staff turnover is constant causing the level of service and care to be substandard. The elevator to the building at which my parents reside has been down multiple times for many hours at a time (the other day it was down 8 hours, it’s down currently again). This literally has left residents stranded in their homes with almost no communication from or indication of urgency from Corso management. Additionally, because they could not get to the dining room for their meal, they called the dining room for food to be delivered (a service provided at a fee), their calls were not answered. They called the front desk and that person offered to place the order for them, no food was ever delivered. In summary, the residents were stranded with no communication other than an email indicating the elevator was down and repairs would be made, not one person checked on them or updated them and food was not provided. Completely unacceptable.

I recently stayed in guest suite and watched my sister in memory care for 3 days. Friday afternoon through Sunday. No doubt the facility is beautiful! The weather was beautiful but they were never taken outside to enjoy, My sister and several others can walk and need little assistance physically, Staff spoke very little to most of residents or myself just those they had to assist , Nora was friendly and answered my requests, I interacted and made an effort to engage in conversation with those at my sisters table. I made them laugh! I have visited during week and they followed a schedule and had activities but that was 6 months ago. The staff downstairs however were very friendly and helpful! Corso is a beautiful place to be but they need to be exposed to more of surroundings and not left on weekends to sit and do nothing. I live in Texas so unfortunately cant come as often as I would like, Her son and daughter and small grandkids live in Atlanta,

Although my mother was very reluctant to move from the beautiful condo that she loved, she did make the decision to relocate. She couldn’t be happier!!
