I am new to this community and I can say first hand that the staff and the executive director really care for the residents in the community. It feels like everyone is family. They have great pricing and the rooms are spacious and the community offers so many amenities and activities throughout the day.

I am the daughter of a woman that has lived in Brookdale for the last 6 years due to a massive stroke that paralyzed her on half of her body. Her favorite thing to do in life was dance. But in the last 6 years Brookdale has helped keep her safe, fed and sincerely cared for! If you have a loved one that's looking I can highly recommend this facility as well as any Brookdale facility.

In the last days of September, my moments were full of angst from making umpteenth calls to assisted living facility phone numbers. Too full, too expensive, too…unwelcoming. But this call was different. As I explained the situation that required immediate placement of my elderly mother to "Len" of Brookdale Corporate offices, he offered Brookdale Sarasota Phillippi as a possible "solution", and made the intro call. From that first conversation onward, Brookdale Phillippi was everything we needed for 87 year old mom: a place of great respite, where all of her needs were met, where the community welcomed her with open arms, and a place she could call "home". Brookdale's Michael and staff worked a small miracle and assisted in getting a room together within 48 hours of our initial phone call; worked with Mom's care providers to access copies of her health records, and more. He made sure mom was happy, healthy, and safe. Mom was hesitant. As an introvert away from her house for the first time in decades, she feared being forgotten. She feared loneliness. She feared being confined. The reality of these fears were never brought to fruition as Brookdale's Michael made sure Mom was integrated into the community immediately. She played Bingo, laughed, and made new friends. Heading down to any one of the three meals was consistently a highlight as the food was consistently "delicious" and with a dessert option, her tastebuds were also won over. Her medications were actually taken properly and at the correct time of day, thereby creating the health benefit she needed, and a full change of affect was apparent. Within a week, Mom stated, "I love it here." No longer was she missing home. Conversations were cut short because, "It's time to meet with my friends." Or "It's time to eat." Simply, mom was living and enjoying life. In follow-up phone calls, Michael would give me quick updates that confirmed all Mom shared with us. The level of care and concern, the friendly and welcoming environment, the dining and cleanliness of the facility, the updates and follow-through, are all part of what makes Brookdale Phillippi the best of Assisted Living Facilities.

The care and respect my mom received at Brookdale Phillippi Creek was absolutely beyond what I could have asked for. Apparently the changes in administration have brought it a long way. I did not experience any of the negative reviews I have read. Thank you to all the hard working staff, the nurses and nursing director. They were great problem solvers and listened when I needed something taken care of. My mom has since passed away. The respect and love we felt all the way through the dying experience was more than we could have asked for.

My dad moved to Brookdale Phillippi Creek last year and was forgetful, lonely and bored. I must say that after calling several times a day, he now has to be hunted down to take my calls. In February of 2020, after several months in Brookdale Phillippi Creeks Assisted Living, my Mother-In-Law moved to the Clare Bridge Memory Care Unit. My wifes family and I have been fortunate that she has come under the care of the wonderful staff at Clare Bridge. We are pleased to know that in these uncertain times, Brookdale is taking the utmost precautions for the safety of its residents. In particular, Kathryn Soltanipour has gone above and beyond the call of duty many times during the last several months to care for our loved one. In addition, she has been more than willing to accommodate several of our special requests. During this time, my Mother-In-Law has grown incredibly fond of Kat, as has our family. Kat is truly an earthly Saint to all of us, and our family is so blessed that she is at Brookdale. Kat is our Superwoman!

Ive been so happy and thankful for the Team at Brookdale Phillippi Creek over the last month since moving Mom into Assisted Living. From the moment I met and worked with Marketing & Sales Director, Karalyn, I felt comfortable and knew it was the right decision.Since moving in she, the Activities Director, Katie and other staff have been super helpful in making my Mom comfortable with living there from the quarantine required period at the beginning to adjusting to this new way of life once she could start taking part in their great programming.They are super responsive and helpful. Broodale Phillippi Creek gave me an opportunity to find my calling in life.When I was young I was surrounded by people who always told me I was good with the elderly. Having patience and love was something that I took pride in and still do. When my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia I found myself helping her and knew that I needed to find a job with helping my elders.When I was hired into brookdale I was excited because they saw my passion and gave me a chance to prove myself.Before I worked the floor I was trained extensivelyand also had nursing mentors Nicole and Jody. Every month there is always more training to make sure the residents get the best care they need and deserve.Team work is real here!!! I have always been an advocate to leave work better then what I came into and I am glad to have coworkers that have have the same work ethic.Right now I couldnt be happier where I am at and I am so blessed to have found something that I love to do because without them I wouldnt have found my Calling.

My mom was in the memory care unit for two years. The director of the unit has been available, caring, and attentive have had times where staff members were not readily available and times where the bathroom was not clean. Lately though the staff has been terrific and I have felt at peace. I would love to see more frequent cleaning. Housekeeping at once a week is not enoughThe nurses and the director Kat cannot work any harder. They are exceptional and my heartfelt gratitude extends.

In the process of illness with my mom that GOD gave me the blessing of being able to be with her to take care of her until the last day of her life was where I discovered what I really wanted to do and blessed GOD today I have that opportunity. There are no words to describe what it means to help those parents or siblings whose children or families can not do it, and not because of lack of Love But because they now need to be 24 hours under total supervision, since they are already disconnected mentally of the daily reality of life or are suffering some illness or limitation ..... in my personal experience now working with them I feel the great Love that God gave me to be able to share it with them. Before I thought very different, said how it is possible to leave a father Abandoned ..... NO !!! it is not so ..... It is the best decision for Love although it is not easy.
