When our family had to move my mother after a terrible experience at another assisted living facility, we were understandably anxious and wanted to make sure her next home would be a positive one. From the moment we walked into Grand Villa Clearwater, we knew we had found something special. Stoy went above and beyond to guide us through every step of the process. She helped us find the perfect apartment, and when moving day arrived, the staff literally rolled out a red carpet, welcomed my mom with applause, took photos, and made her feel like the guest of honor. After everything she had been through, that incredible welcome meant more to our family than words can express. It set the tone for what would be a truly wonderful experience. What impressed me most was the people. Every staff member was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared. As I walked through the community, I noticed the staff knew the residents by name, and everyone seemed happy, engaged, and treated like family. It didn’t feel institutional”it felt like home. I also can’t say enough about Dawn, the Executive Director. When my mother was hospitalized shortly after moving into Grand Villa, Dawn was incredibly compassionate and supportive. She went above and beyond to help our family during a very difficult and emotional time. Her kindness, guidance, and willingness to step in when we needed her most meant more than she’ll ever know. It’s rare to find leadership that is so genuinely invested in the well-being of residents and their families. Sadly, my mother has since passed away. Not long afterward, her sister also needed assisted living, and there was never a question about where she should go. Grand Villa was our first choice. She is now living there and doing very well, and once again the experience has been exceptional. The greatest gift Grand Villa has given me is peace of mind. I never have to wonder if my aunt is being cared for because I know she is surrounded by compassionate people who truly care. If you’re looking for a smaller assisted living community with a warm, home-like atmosphere, I can’t recommend Grand Villa Clearwater enough. I toured several facilities before making our decision, and none of them came close to the feeling we had when we walked through the doors at Grand Villa. It truly is a special place.

The care she received was nothing short of unbelievable. From day one through the very end, the staff treated her with dignity, compassion, and genuine love. While you often hear horror stories about facilities like this, our experience was the complete opposite. The executive director has been there for many years, and that stability truly shows. The staff is consistent, dedicated, and treats residents like members of their own family. Our relative was in the memory care unit the entire time, and the level of attention and professionalism gave our family peace of mind that is truly priceless. I am so impressed with the Grand Villa of Clearwater. My mother moved there and found the place exceptional. It is extremely clean, the food is very good, and the staff is caring and competent. I continue to be impressed with the Executive Director, Dawn, and Lori, who is in charge of admissions. They went out of their way for my mom and family. They are both so accommodating and caring. The nursing staff is wonderful and competent too. Physical therapy is very well run and there are plenty of activities to keep the residents engaged and busy. In a nutshell, the place is great! Our family loves Grand Villa! My grandparents moved into Independent living and moved through assisted living and memory care before they passed, and then my in-laws moved in in 2022. They were reticent to move to assisted living, but they just weren't getting out to have fun any more, and they weren't taking good care of themselves. My in-laws started as independent and slowly needed more assistance, but in the process, they started a group of friends to play cards with, my father-in-law joined the choir, and they made great friends. When my mother-in-law had a stroke in 2024 they quickly accommodated a move to a handicapped-accessible unit for her new needs. And then when my father-in-law passed a few months later, they immediately accommodated a move into memory care for my mother-in-law. We visit several times a week and my mother-in-law is always well-cared for and clean, and we don't have to worry about her in between visits. The nursing staff has helped guide us through how to work with her doctors to ensure her best care, and the staff really do care for her like she is their own mom.

Grand Villa of Clearwater is without a doubt amazing! We all swear to ourselves when it is not needed that we would never put a loved one into an ALF. Then we get older and life happens. I had to make that difficult decision. When our oldest sister passed away, it became evident that my other sister was not able to live alone. She had always been a social butterfly and very religious person. With Covid and our oldest sister getting sick, caring for her became my other sister’s sole purpose in life. To her own detriment, she stopped socializing and going to church and her prayer groups. She rarely left the house. My daughter researched so many facilities in our area. My husband and I toured a dozen of them. Grand Villa stood out so far above the rest. It was #1 on our daughter’s list and the first one we went to. No other one came close. When we walked in, we instantly felt welcomed. The residents were walking around doing their own thing. They looked so happy. Every employee that we passed knew every resident by name. Not just passing by with a smile, but with a greeting or question or comment. We had never been there before, but they treated us like we had! The day we then took my sister there was one I will never forget. She was nervous and scared and adamant about not wanting to go. When she walked in her eyes lit up like a child in a candy store. She instantly felt a warmth and happiness. She said hello to everyone she passed. Both residents and staff made her feel safe and happy. We moved her in about two weeks ago. She is so busy socializing, playing bingo, watching movies, exercising and enjoying delicious food with all of her new friends, that one day when I called to say I was on my way to see her, she asked if I could come later because she was busy chatting with her friends! I cried just knowing that she was getting back to being that social butterfly that she once was so many years ago. I cannot say enough great things about Grand Villa! Thank you, Grand Villa, for giving my sister a new home, friends, security and family! Please, please, if you are in the same situation, don’t hesitate to visit GV! You will fall in love with it just like we have! ©

Grand Villas is a wonderful community for seniors, with committed and caring staff and a well maintained facility that does indeed "feel like home." My mother recently moved in and I am very impressed with the level of care she receives at Grand Villas. From on-site Dr.'s appointments, medication management and memory care, to quality dining, group activities (including outings) and even a hair salon, I know my mother has what she needs to be comfortable and have a good quality of life. Staff have been tremendously supportive of her transition into the community, and attentive to her ongoing needs. I live out of state and arranged my mother's move from a distance - Grand Villas went above and beyond to make the process for the lease, moving day, etc. easy for me. There is about to do but My favorite time of the day is in the morning when I can go to the gym and work out at least 45 minutes a day, 6 days a week. This place is truly amazing!!! Finding the perfect place to put your loved one is never an easy process. My siblings and I toured numerous facilities then compared our impressions. The one that was at the top of each of our lists was the Grand Villa. My sister commented this is like a 4 star hotel, with great dining room, spotless lobby and hallways, many activities for residents and an overall welcoming atmosphere. However, what makes it truly amazing, is the staff. From Lori, the leasing manager who introduced us to the facility, has been available to answer my countless questions and greets me each time i see her to give me an update on how mom is doing and make sure we are happy with her care. She genuinely cares about each resident. To the front desk staff that is always courteous and polite. To Christina, in the dining room who speaks the same language as my mom and checks in on her before going home at night. Finally, to the nursing and care staff that bring her and heat up her food when she can't go to the dining room and make sure she has everything she needs throughout the day. They are the reason that we clearly know we have made the right decision in placing her in the Grand Villa.

Moved my dad to Grand Villa of Clearwater from another assisted living facility. He had been in a rehab center after a fractured pelvis and I wanted to make the move in the hopes his care would be better. Everything about the move was easy thanks to the wonderful staff. Stoi Quinn, the leasing coordinator, was a huge help in getting everything set up. The facility is clean and well staffed. My dad’s room has a beautiful view of a large old oak tree making it seem very private. Stoi set up a wheelchair transport for my dad and helped coordinate the movers. She let him borrow a wheelchair from the facility until a proper chair could be provided. She even helped welcome him with a sample of chocolates from a local boutique chocolate shop that shares his name. That was a very sweet touch. My dad is very happy with the care he is getting. The aides I meet are all very professional and caring. They know how to transfer him and make sure he is well cared for. He is very happy with the care he gets and has settled in quickly. The nurses, Leah and Debby, and therapist, John, have gone out of their way to see dad is well and has all his needs addressed. They have been great in communicating with me. I am so happy I moved dad to Grand Villa. The decision to move him was very stressful for me but Stoi and all the others made everything work out without a hitch. I happily recommend Grand Villa of Clearwater and thank all of the wonderful staff.

Recently moved my dad here. What a great start! Everyone was warm and welcoming and made a fun production out of his arrival. What stands out the most though is that the staff seems to go about their jobs as if they want to be there vs just having to be there to collect a paycheck. Every person we’ve encountered truly seems to understand the importance of their job and the positive impact it has on people at such a difficult and challenging chapter of their lives. We moved my mother in law in just about a month ago now and I cannot explain how wonderful everyone has been throughout the whole process. Both my husband and I were so concerned because we were taking his mother out of New Jersey, her home for the last 60 years, and we just didn’t know how she would handle the transition. That said since the minute we walked in to the Grand Villa, everyone was so kind, patient and knew the process inside and out making it much easier for us to make the decision to move her there. Since my mother-in-law has been there she has done nothing but provide rave reviews about everything from the staff, to the food and cleanliness and responsiveness of team. While preparing for her arrival, I was at Grand Villa from early morning to late at night and I got to see the entire team (and many of the residents) and to each person you really felt they were happy to be there. And many of those who work there have their own parents there and I think that is very telling. Both my husband and I are so grateful to the team, especially Stoy and Gina (the Executive Director), who welcomed our mother with open arms and assisted us with this transition every step of the way.

My name is Robin Gagnon and on March 6th my Aunt moved into Grand Villa of Clearwater her new temporary home. She was greeted at the fire by Lori Smith, Leasing coordinator. When she got into the lobby, it was full of staff and some residents to welcome her with cheers and clapping. She was greeted by each staff member who introduced themselves and explained their role. My Aunt was also introduced to her "sassy Amador" aka a resident volunteer. The start went above and beyond in Austin's is and getting this move accomplished with little upset to my Aunt as possible. In my aunt's situation she had no furniture to bring to the apartment and although it is not part of their normal accommodations, the staff was able to provide some for her for her comfort. They invited me to stay for dinner Wirth my Aunt which was very tasty and the service in the dining room was top notch. As we left the dining room, she was getting friendly greetings by residents she had met earlier in the day. She finished her first day at Grand Villa in their salon. By the next day she had already joined the choir and signed up for art classes. Grand villa staff had made this traumatic experience a true joy for my Aunt. I can't thank them enough. Grand Villa of Clearwater is truly unique among adult living facilities. My 90 yr old Dad and I reviewed and visited dozens of places before selecting Grand Villa as his home. There is a culture of family at Grand Villa that starts at the top of the organization all the way down to the residents. Dawn, Lori, Shawn, Rita and all the staff are engaged to n the lives of the residents and do the little things to ensure they are safe, comfortable and living their best life. We have found the residents active, laughing and enjoying each other. The meals are top tier and the restaurant is full of conversation and laughter. As my Dad settles in he is enjoying himself and making new friends. He’s even begin working with John, the PT Director, to get some good exercises to build his leg strength and minimize his aches and pains. Grand Villa is a one of a kind home and my Dad is quickly transitioning to his best life in years!

Although my wife didn’t get to officially enter Grand Villa due to serious sudden health issues. The the staff was so accommodating. On my tours, I frequently stopped employees working there to ask questions and get how they reacted to outsiders. It was very apparent as I watch them working with the elderly, that they were well thought of by those around them. The place was very clean and orderly. The staff there continuously stopped and spoke with Mr, Miss, or Miss’s by their name with a good morning or how are you doing today ? A friend who asked me to serve as his healthcare surrogate was diagnosed with dementia and we chose Grand Villa of Clearwater for his residential care. We could not have made a better choice. From the Director through all members of the staff my friend was treated like a family member. They were always concerned with his well being and caring about his comfort. He spent the last five of his 88 years at Grand Villa and despite his worsening dementia I am convinced he felt at home in their memory care unit.

We took a tour last week of Grand Villa of Clearwater for our mom who needs assisted living services. Lori was very welcoming, providing a detailed tour of the entire facility, introducing us to key people that would interact with our mom. The apartments are spacious and the entire property was in good condition despite its age, evidence of the private owners' care and concern for their residents. And residents are not moved during hurricanes, a huge advantage when you have disabled loved ones! We highly recommend Grand Villa as a possible option for assisted living.

What a wonderful Adventure I experienced in finding the right community for my very dear friend who is 95 years old. When I first walked into Grand Villa and met Lori, I was at a loss for what my next steps and options were for finding living accommodations for someone who lived totally independent until February 21. From start to finish, getting her moved in was such a pleasurable transition and when I leave her to go go home at the end of our visit, I know that she is being taken care of by well trained and competent staff that radiants a true family feeling. My husband and I have toured Grand Villa in Clearwater, FL twice. Once, before moving my mother, who is 94, to be closer to us and the second time with my mother so that she could be involved with her long term care decision. Both times we were greeted by Lori Smith. Honestly, we felt welcomed. Lori was not only very patient with our endless questions but she took great care with explaining and directing her answers to my mother. She arranged the medical and care assessor to meet with us so that we would know exactly what our monthly cost would be. During our tour it was obvious that Lori personally knows most of the residents (maybe all?) by her warm and personal greetings. We learned later that the administrative staff helps in the dining room with assisting the residents with beverages as well as being a presence with conversation. Everyone in the facility was friendly and kind. And the food is fabulous!! The facility is very clean and all the amenities that you need. We noticed that there is a wide age range within this community which we feel is a plus. Altho my mother did not choose this facility, we feel that she will rethink this in the future as her needs begin to change. From everything that we saw and all the conversations that we had, twice, 5 out of 5 stars.

When Mom unexpectedly passed away our Dad was left to fend for himself. He was in a steady decline and we were not sure what to do. Fortunately we found Grand Villa of Clearwater. Dad now has three excellent meals everyday, on-site healthcare, and people to socialize with. The entire staff is friendly, caring, and professional. The facility is clean and has a responsive on-site maintenance staff. This has been comforting for our entire family to know that Dad is in a great living situation.

Grand Villa of Clearwater is a fantastic place if you are looking for a new home for a loved one . From the minute you walk in the door you get a feeling of family, love and kindness. The staff is great at learning all about each resident and helping them get familiar with their new home and all the great features and activities that are available. Then there is the dining room. Wow, what great food and service they provide. The entire building is very clean and smells good and always looks great with all the seasonal decor, and the nice furniture in the common areas. The management staff is knowledgeable and so helpful making sure you are satisfied leaving your loved one in their care. You won't find a better place that cares so much!

A place for Mom gave me the number to Grand Villa at Clearwater. I connected with Lori Smith immediately. The place is clean. The people are so friendly and the experience has been unbelievably welcoming. From the assistant director to the physical therapist to Rachel their housekeeper has been just wonderful , caring and interested in my parents well-being and happiness. My parents have been there for a week now and have settled in nicely , with yummy meals , three times a day and lots of activities to keep them busy. ’•

I cannot praise the staff at Grand Villa Clearwater enough! I recently moved my dad from a nearby ALS, into Memory care at Grand Villa. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience at the previous ALS, that I lost all faith in any of them. I reached out to Jennifer at A Place for Mom and she connected me with Grand Villa. From the very start, I had such a warm welcome by Lori. She was so calming and patient with us. I appreciate that she was not pushy, however continued to check in with us on finding the right place for my dad. Lori answered every text and phone call, even on her days off! I just cannot say enough about hereveryone needs a Lori!! We are blessed to now call Grand villa of Clearwater home! My dad was greeted by many of the staff members by a big round of applause as he walked the red carpet into the building. That made him feel very welcomed ! I also would like to thank Leah, Dawn, Misty, Ron, Shawn and Alex for making this transition so seamless for us today! The maintenance team brought my dad’s (very heavy) chair that was delivered to his room and put it together so it was waiting on him for his arrival. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that his cable was hooked up upon arrival, as well as hanging pictures for him. This entire experience was nothing we had been used to. I can honestly say, each staff member we have met seems to love their job, as well as have fun doing it! When I left my dad today, I had such peace in my heart knowing he’s in the right placehome:)

Grand Villa of Clearwater feels like home. My mom moved recently and was warmly welcomed by staff, residents, and "ambassadors." Every person my mom met was friendly and helpful. The staff members went above and beyond to help her with anything she needed, all while wearing a smile. There was a continuous effort to invite mom to participate in activities from chair yoga to an icecream social. She loves everything about this place and we have peace of mind knowing she is in a place she can call home. Thank you Grand Villa!

Mom joined Grand Villa a short time ago and loves her new living arrangements. The staff, administration and fellow residents are welcoming, friendly and encouraging as Mom acclimates to her dining, activity and social opportunities.
