We toured several facilities before choosing The Peninsula as the most suitable place for a family friend. The staff are amazing and the facility is clean and welcoming with a range of activities. From the moment I spoke with Jonathan I knew the Peninsula was different. There is a feeling of warmth, connection and honest interest in each person there. I was impressed with how everyone from the nurses, receptionists, dining room staff and facilities staff knew the residents names. And the residents knew their names. You can feel the active energy when you walk in. People were engaged, talking to each other, taking walks outside and participating in the activities. I wasn't sure what my sister's needs would be so I looked at both memory care and assisted living. Wow, what a difference. In memory care there were 8 people around a table with someone playing bingo. There were others at tables talking with the aides. Nowhere did I see an aid on their phone, they were all interacting with the residents. My sister is so happy in the assisted living. Her room is spacious and conveniently located. Another big surprise was how good the food is. Seriously, I've had a few meals there and they were delicious. My sister who loves to bake and cook is delighted for now having three meals she doesn't need to prepare. I am relieved to know my sister is in good hands. Even though it may be a temporary stay for her while she recovers she now sees the possibilities of a different way of living.

There are plenty of spaces to sit and enjoy time with newly found friends, plenty of room to walk inside or outside and the recreation is fantastic. Bus trips to stores, doctors and dinners. There is no other place I'd rather be.

I am very happy with our choice of assisted living for our mother. We had looked at several in the Delray and Hollywood area. The staff was always top notch from the beginning guiding our difficult decision to make sure we picked the right place. The nursing staff is also top notch from the head nurse to the individual nurses that took her under their wing. My mom is not the easiest to manage and the nursing staff stepped up immediately helping us when we were having issues with a variety of problems including an out of stock problem in the area for her medications during the move. It was also a difficult change, but the staff worked hard to assist in the adjustment. Shes been there now for a few months. She's happy with the food and the room. There is plenty of activities. I am very comfortable giving this facility a full 5 star rating.

If you are looking for a place to treat your loved one with respect, and take care of them, then choose the Peninsula Assisted Living & Memory Care in Hollywood, FL. My father, Johnnie was a resident there for two years, and I lived out of state and flew in unannounced very often to check in on him and make sure he was being cared for properly. I also had two relatives who lived nearby and they would pop in to check on his wellbeing too. The first month I moved him in the Peninsula, he didn't like it as he didn't think he needed to move there although he had Lewy Body Dementia. My father was always treated with respect, and he loved to dance at the Peninsula when they had a band playing. He enjoyed the meals, and his room was always clean, no urine smell. On days when his memory was a challenge, they still treated him with respect and knew how to calm him down.There was only one incident while he lived there and the Resident Care Director, Alexa, called me right away and took care of it. My father's previous occupation was maintenance, and he and the head of maintenance, Norman hit it off on day one and they often joked with each other! When my father passed in May 2023, they all expressed their condolences and I knew it was genuine. Thanks to all the staff and a special thanks to Janice, who always kept me informed when my Dad was running low on personal items.

Our introduction to The Peninsula began with a tour of the facilities and meeting with members of the Sales Team - Rob Levy and Lizeth Gonzalez initially, but further meetings involved the lovely and vivacious Fedorah Dessources (in Lizeth's place). There is a lively lobby area, with many residents and visitors mixing it up and conversing with each other, as well as with staff. The staff seems to know each resident, greeting them by name. We found that not only welcoming but impressive. The facility is decked out in soothing colors, blues and soft greens; the rooms with which I'm familiar all have a wonderful floor-to-ceiling window, adding wonderful light to the room. That light is reflected in mirrored closet doors, and the overall effect is bright and cheerful. Each of the resident floors has a central lounging/reading area with shelving filled with books, which anyone is free to take and read at their leisure. And the activities never stop - movies, musical concerts, bingo, birthday parties, games and more. Every staff member with whom I've spoken since my brother moved in has been friendly, professional and, cheerful. Overall, just the kind of atmosphere and care we all want for our loved ones!

I had my mom in another assisted living place that I was not happy with at all. I had been looking for a new location for my mom and was given a few locations. Just like any son I want to make sure I made the right decision this time. I had checked a few locations but was not comfortable with them. When I walk in the front door of The Peninsula in Hollywood, FL was greeted right away with a smile at the front desk. I explain that I was looking for a place for my mom. She took me down to the sales office. As I was walking to the sales office, I notice that everything was very clean and organized. The sales team greeted me and I explain to them my concerns about the place where my mom was at now. They took me on a tour and showed me where they sleep, eat, play bingo watched movies, sing, get haircuts, etc. I was amazed at how clean the place was and it smelled clean. I went home got my wife and pick up my mom to show them the place and both of them fell in love with the place and the amazing staff. My wife called it a resort. My mom has been there for over two months and she is so happy there. Now when I call her to see if she wants to come to my house to visit I have to work around her busy schedule but I’m happy that she is happy!!! The Staff and sales team are so professional and caring people at The Peninsula in Hollywood, FL. Thanks for everything you do!!

My family and I are so very thankful for the Staff and Administration at The Peninsula Assisted Living Facility. The initial tour and meeting with Fedorah was presented with heartfelt care and concern for my brother. Fedorah took an enormous amount of time with us, never rushed us, and did everything in her power to accommodate my brother who was coming in from a hospital stay. Once he was situated, the Director of Nursing, Alexa, was promptly attentive to the medical needs of my brother. Her nursing staff (including Patricia - thank you Patricia!) has assisted my brother through his transition. Having had much experience with Assisted Living Facilities through the years for various family members, I can honestly say that The Peninsula truly cares about their residents. The environment is cheerful, the dining room menus have been delicious, and the common areas are extremely well kept. I am so thankful that we found The Peninsula! My brother is very happy and I know he will be well cared for. Thank you, especially to Fedorah, Alexa and Patricia. . . . you all are the best!

After much research, I recently visited The Peninsula Assisted Living Community, and I was impressed with the cheerful, friendly atmosphere, attentive staff, and well-kept building. It is spacious, with lots of comfortable seating areas, and pleasant rooms for the wide variety of activities offered.. I got a good sense that my mom could be happy and well taken care of at the Peninsula. I compared many different places, and this was one of the best that I found. It is reasonably priced compared to other facilities, including many of much lower quality. Carole and Fedorah were very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate my mother's needs. If you are looking for assisted living for yourself or a loved one, I strongly recommend visiting the Peninsula for a tour.

This is my first and only review I have ever posted on Google or on the Internet. When I was growing up I remember my mother's words, "God takes care of his children". Before my father passed away, he made me promise to look after my baby sister, which I have happily done for the past 25 years. My husband and I brought my sister to Florida 25 years ago, and I spent most of my time looking for the best place for her. I won't go into the failure of the available facilities, but to say the government should close most of them for either malpractice or health code violations is an understatement. I would rather speak now only of The Peninsula. For the past five years, Alexa, The Director of Nursing and nurse Patricia, have taken care of my sister. Along with these two women, the entire staff cannot be equaled in their competence and compassion. The Peninsula is not just an "assisted living facility", but acts as also a nursing home and medical assistance when necessary. They are there for whatever needs the resident may require. Truer words were never spoken, "God takes care of his children". The Peninsula is where these words become true.

I cannot speak more highly of Janice and Pam. Janice, the nurse in Memory care, was both caring and so kind to my sister and I and our aunt. She bent over backwards to communicate and help us. Pam was what we referred to as "Grace whisperer ". She gave my aunt comfort and joy during her time at the Peninsula. My aunt t danced with Arthur Murray studios in her early 20s and Pam made sure she had activities that brought those memories back for her. Transitioning mom to The Peninsula ALF remotely (out of state) has been the smoothest process i've experienced in years! Robert Levy and his team @ The Peninsula are absolutely the MOST professional staff i've had the pleasure of working with in a very long time! So having spent over a year looking for somewhere to put my sister, between her boyfriend and my self we visited over 60 different facilities that had memory care. I could not be happier, I am a hands on person and prior to COVID I would visit my sister at least once every 60 days. And I live over 1,300 miles away. And I felt that she was in great hands during COVID-19. I have to say that Janice Thomas who has been a great point person in the beginning and has been a Rock Star during the months we have not been there to visit!I never give great reviews but I could not be more satisfied with where we ended up placing my sister...in my life I could never imagine to finding somewhere to have to put my sister. And it is the people who make the place and from the sales process (Barbra) AMD the day in and out care (Janice) make me know we made the right choice!

Until recently this was one of the only facilities of this kind with no residents affected by COVID-19. My mother has been a resident for five years. She is still COVID-19 negative. Although I dont like the idea that we cannot visit I understand the reasoning. I hope that in the not too distant future there will be a way for us to visit, but that depends on the Governor and the Broward mayor. Since Meridian took over before the Pandemic there were noticeable update being done to the lobby and other common areas. I hope this continues once we can go to our new normal.

My dad has been living in the memory care unit at the Peninsula. The staff are all wonderful and take very good care of my dad. What has really made me very happy is that my mom is now moving in to stay with my dad, although she really doesnt need to be in the memory care unit it is so important and nice for them to be able to be together again after 3 years. Barbara has gone above and beyond to make this happy, and has made the entire process so simple. She even put together a little love picture for my dad to sign and give it to my mom tomorrow. As a first responder, paramedic for 25 years I have responded to hundreds of assisted living facilities in the area. Well, as fate would have it, my elderly mother would need the services of an ALF.After much research we decided on the peninsula and it was a home run. From the executive staff to the maintenance staff they were excellent. They have tons of activities and truly engage the residents. The facility is clean, safe and caring. They provide housekeeping, laundry, medication compliance, three meals a day to name a few.Unfortunately my mother recently passed away and we are now making arrangements for my aging father to move in to the peninsula community.No facility is perfect but I give this facility 5 stars.
