If you’re reading this review you may be in the situation my siblings and I were in 2018. At that time our parents had been married 63 years, and our mother was becoming more and more of a caregiver and less of a partner in marriage. None of us lived near them, but we could see it was taking a toll on her health both physically and emotionally. We could also see that they were both of sound mind, but could not bring themselves to make the necessary decisions to ease mother’s burden and allow them flourish in their sunset years. So, we set out to find a home for them that would meet their needs over the coming years. We feel so fortunate to have found Palos Verdes Senior Living in Peoria, AZ, just outside of Phoenix. We could go on and on with simple moments that made a lasting difference in the quality of the lives of our parents during the seven years they lived at PV, but this one anecdote sums up perfectly the level of care expressed by all the staff members: Mom was a huge fan of hummingbirds. A big part of her day was watching them come to the feeder on her balcony that she diligently maintained. We needed to move her to assisted living where there are no balconies in the apartments and she was distraught at the thought of them no longer finding the sustenance she provided for them. (This was her biggest concern over moving back to AL.) Then, as we emptied out her apartment after she passed on, we saw her Hummingbird feeder hanging off of a lamp post outside of her second story window. How did this happen? One of the maintenance men who knew mom and her love for hummingbirds saw that the feeder was left behind, and took it upon himself to fill it, then get a ladder and hang it where she could see it during her last days. Enough said. Reflecting back on all that transpired over the seven years our parents made their home at Palos Verdes, we smile knowing we did right by them, and that PV was the perfect choice. (We sent a more detailed letter of recommendation to the PV office to share).

We moved my father-in-law in several months ago after nearly a year of physician and cognitive decline. Understandably, he didn't want to leave his home, but after a stroke, Assisted Living was our best option. As a nurse, the first thing that struck me was how clean (and fresh smelling!) Palos Verdes is. He's been there several months, and, like many others as they age, can be a bit of a challenge. Mood swings, being demanding, some confusion, refusal to do anything that will improve his strength, stamina and cognition. The staff understands this. Victoria is nothing short of AMAZING! She doesn't take his bad days personally, and knows just how to interact with him so that he responds. Aging parents are difficult. Of course there is guilt that goes along with not being able to care for them in your own home. Working full time, we just can't be there 24/7 as he requires. But he's in a LOVELY place, well cared for. Honestly, if I required assisted living myself, I wouldn't hesitate to move there.

Vonda is the new Director over at Palos Verdes senior living in Peoria, Az. I can honestly tell you that I research until the cows come home until I can find the best of the best to place a loved one in. It was literally her second day and I was so impressed by her genuineness, her personable personality, her kindness and honesty. You couldn't find a better human being if you tried.Vonda was a huge part of Our family deciding to place our loved one in this assisted living facility. I've seen the worst of the worst and I refuse to allow any other family members to be neglected in anyway. No one or place is perfect I understand that~ but this place is the real deal and they genuinely care. From Vonda, to the staff, to the food and the folks that Serve our food- I can't say enough wonderful things about them all. Thank you for all of your help, we so appreciate you.

The tour of the Palos Verdes residence was excellent. Hillary was friendly and well versed in the all amenities and social opportunities for my mom. The staff appeared engaged and addressed residents by name. The residents were in good spirits. The facility itself was well maintained, clean, and easy to navigate. The memory care unit room entries were designed to give the feeling of a set of front porches in a well kept neighborhood - good feelings. Very nice place. The distance from our home was the primary reason we did not select Palos Verdes. We are keeping PV as an option when the transition from assisted living to memory care becomes necessary.

I recently called and scheduled a site visit for a possible residency for my dad. I was initially greeted by Cynthia who scheduled me with Lyndsay for the tour. As Cynthia was the initial contact of your agency, she set the standard that every business should follow...excellent customer service. I later had the privilege of meeting Lyndsay and was given a brief tour (brief at my request) of the one bedroom apartment for assisted living. Lyndsay was very knowledgeable and also provided and answered all questions. Lyndsay represented Palos Verdes in a very positive light and provided excellent customer service as well. Both Cynthia and Lyndsay are definitely assets to your agency....as we have been dealing with assisted living facilities for a couple of years now....this level of customer service is a rare commodity and should not be overlooked or taken for granted by your agency. Went to look for a new home for my mother- in-law. Jonathan at Palos Verdes gave us a thorough tour of a few apartments as well as all the common areas for the residents. Everything was beautiful and very clean. Spoke with two residents who love living there. All the staff we met were pleasant and answered all our questions. There were many activities for the residents to participate in every day. I'm hoping to have my mother-in-law take a visit ASAP so she can live independently with others of her age group while still having the security of trained professionals watching over her just in case of an emergency.

PalosVerdes Senior Living is hands down the best Senior Living facility that I toured and researched! Lyndsay is so welcoming, knowledgeable and patient. She took the time to not only listen to, but to hear what is going to be most important to my 93 year old Mother's wants and needs. Kyle made sure that they are not going to charge us for things Mom is not going to use in her care package. It really is independently designed for each persons needs. Nothing cookie cutter about this place, the affordability is amazing! Compared to other places that do not offer half of the amenities and services, this is affordable, beautiful and all around a very special place! Palos Verdes Senior Living has everything you need, want and even more than you can imagine when it comes to amenities, activities and care plans. What was most important to me is the longevity of the employees. It speaks volumes to how they are treated, which means they are happy where they work, love what they do and in turn, means my Mom is going to get the best care by the best people!! I am so excited and happy to say that we have chosen Palos Verdes to be my Mom's new home!

I recently toured Palos Verdes Senior Living with Lyndsay Violanti. She was pleasant, positive, and understanding of my need to find my sister the best possible care in a Senior facility. It is an awesome place - with thorough attention to every detail that someone would want. It definitely "checked all the boxes" with what my sister would need in the present, and in the future. I felt that Lyndsay really cared about everyone who lives there, and listened attentively to my concerns. She had a wealth of knowledge about the facility, and was able to answer all of my questions. I never felt pressured to make an immediate decision or commitment, and really appreciated Lyndsay's non-pressure, caring approach. She followed up with me a week later, regarding my visit, to see if I had any additional questions or concerns, or if I wanted to re-tour the facility again. Lyndsay is a very caring, knowledgeable, and supportive person, and Palos Verdes is blessed to have her working for them!

They made my Mother's move from their independent living apartment to her assisted-living care, seamless. They offer countless activities, movies and wonderful live entertainment. The facility is beautiful, and feels more like a 5hotel than a retirement facility. Our Mother was kept safe during COVID-19 challenges and they even helped ward off scammers. Love it Love it Here at Palos Verdes my home is clean and beautiful. I am never alone Unless I choose to be. I am always happy and my hands are as busy as I desire. At Palos Verdes there are MANY planned activities even some hard hard things that make you want to scream. But these are the most rewarding in the end. Any questions. My parents moved from their home to Palos Verdes Senior Living. This was a big transition and the caring staff at PV made it much easier. They started in Independent Living first. Eventually they needed to move to Assisted Living as my dad started to have more affects from Alzheimers. They lived at PV for a year. We lived in another state, and it was wonderful peace of mind to know they were well taken care of. They lived there part of the time when Covid started. The care and safety that they received was incredible! The caretakers were very professional and caring toward the residents. The managers also were very caring and kept things organized and running smoothly. I highly recommend this fabulous community!

Where do I even begin...? I’ve had several experiences with Palos Verdes Senior Living. Apart from Palos Verdes Senior Living being a reputable community that TRULY cares about their residents, the entire staff is welcoming, friendly, professional, and caring ” from their executive director, sales associates, care staff, maintenance crew, janitorial staff, etc. The community is well-kept, and has been recently remodeled, which certainly adds to provide a top notch senior living experience, altogether. Throughout my encounters with Palos Verdes Senior Living, I have had the distinct pleasure of collaborating with Jonathan Grosvenor, a dedicated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable sales associate, on numerous occasions throughout the past several months. Jonathan takes the title of director of sales to another level, as he is and does SO much more than what his title depicts. Jonathan truly listens to his clients and is always eager to ensure that all of the moving pieces to the puzzle are put together JUST right for my client’s transition into their forever home ” whether Palos Verdes’ assisted living or memory care community/neighborhood. In the 3+ years that I have known Jonathan, I can confidently say that his compassion, kindness, and attention to detail is not only evident, but felt. He has always been diligent in asking the right questions to get a better understanding regarding my client’s needs, preferences, concerns, and short- and long-term objectives and the list goes on. He is a true professional, and has been known to personalize each encounter with my clients; making them feel that much more at ease in their search for the perfect senior living and care community whether for themselves or their loved ones. As I am writing this review, I find that I could keep on enumerating a myriad of positive aspects regarding Palos Verdes and the staff. All in all, as a registered nurse and senior living and care advocate, having worked in the senior living and healthcare industry for over a decade, I highly recommend this beautiful age-in-place community.

My mother resided at Palos Verdes for nine years. As she required more care, her care plan was adjusted and the staff always kept me updated. I visited several times a week at all different times, and the care was consistently good. All of the staff members responded to emails or phone calls right away, and they worked quickly to address any problems that popped up. Edie, one of the Med Techs and caregivers, was top notch. She took extra time to make sure that I was notified of any small changes with my mom’s condition or behaviors. All staff that I had encounters with was friendly, helpful and professional. Christine, Brandy, Elizabeth and Eva always treated me like family. Kyle is the nicest person you will ever meet. The staff in the dining hall always took care to give my mom exactly what she wanted to eat, including making sure she had the right coffee creamers. The facility handled the COVID crisis very well. I highly recommend this facility.

It is with great pleasure that I share my incredible experiences working with the community of Palo Verdes in Peoria, AZ. It was around December last year that my 83-year-old mom and I decided she was ready to downsize and make a move to a senior community. Being that I am my mom’s only caregiver, reside out of state and work full-time, this seemed like a very daunting endeavor, but I researched places in the Peoria area and set up a couple of days to tour 6 of the best with my mom. During the tours, it became extremely evident that only one place stood out far above the rest and we had found our perfect new home for mom. From the initial warm Palo Verdes welcome greeting we had from every staff member and caring/comprehensive tour given by Amy B, we immediately felt at ease and completely at home. Amy took her time to detail the community features and benefits including 3 restaurant style meals/day served all day long so residents can dine anytime they want to, numerous daily/weekly activities and outings to choose from, in-house movie theater, hair/nail salon and nursing services, if needed. In addition to the beautiful decor, there is also impeccable grounds and pool with water aerobics offered daily, rides to all MD appointments and a safety necklace in case of a fall or emergency. We immediately secured the deposit for a beautiful apartment and began the process of coordinating the move. During the actual move, my mom experienced abdominal pain which worsened so we tested out the emergency pull in the bathroom and within one minute a staff member was at the door and called paramedics. My mom was taken to the hospital and discovered to have a kidney stone. She remained hospitalized over the next couple of days and between hospital visits, I was able to settle mom’s belongings. During this extremely stressful time, I experienced the most incredible support through genuine care and concern from everyone including the front desk people Judy and Fred to Amy and Amy B, and Kyle, the Executive Director. A few days later my mom finally was discharged from the hospital and I was able to finally bring her to her new home. I returned the following month to assist with another scheduled medical procedure and was beyond elated to see how well my mom had become acquainted and adjusted with her new surroundings. She had made friends and learned the layout and routines. Of course, the entire staff welcomed me by name. On my last visit, I also I had the opportunity to experience the special Mother’s Day Brunch and saw again how hard everyone worked to ensure residents and guests were treated with the utmost care, respect and dignity. The entire management staff were seen serving residents, handing out flowers to the moms, and ensuring all moms were celebrated. I can honestly say that I am beyond grateful for finding this incredibly unique and loving community. Being a registered nurse, I am usually critical of cleanliness and care, but I can truly say this community exceeds every expectation I have. The quality of care, building maintenance, programs, and leadership is one of a kind. I would not hesitate to recommend this community to anyone. The peace of mind I have knowing my mom is safe, happy and thriving in her new home is beyond comforting and I cannot thank Kyle and his staff enough for all they do each day! This place is wonderful! My mom and dad have lived here since Thanksgiving and even though the building was nice they just remodeled and it looks great. I’m most impressed with the new nursing director they have. He has spent a lot of time with my parents and is always friendly and kind. With my mom being in the hospital several times in the last few months he has gone over to visit her and to make sure the hospital knows everything about her history and that everything goes smoothly. The med techs and caregivers are terrific and always smiling and seem to really enjoy helping everyone that lives there. My sister and I can finally relax now because we are sure my parents are in good hands.

After the tour I took of Palos Verdes I was sure it was the place for Dad. The staff was attentive and engaged. The facility was first rate, clean and cheerful. We are so happy we chose Palos Verdes as a new home for our Mom. It's a place with so many advantages-- a loving community. Each staff member and other residents greet us whenever we're in the building and that makes us feel so welcome. They also bend over backward to welcome Mom into her new surroundings. They go out of their way to be helpful and hopeful. You get the feeling that decisions are made with the residents in mind--from food (which is amazing) to activities. Everything they said about their facilty was true--and more. Even the beauty salon is a place for her to be pampered and "uplifted." We highly recommend Palos Verdes to everyone we know who's looking for a safe and caring place for their loved one.

My Mother loves Palos Verdes Senior Living. She was very ill and while she was in the hospital I had to make the decision to move her into an assisted living facility. Palos Verdes met all of my requirements. My Mom has a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment. She is able to keep her small dog with her, although she is using their facility's dog walking service until she recovers. She loves the food and is enjoying meeting the other residents. Dan Carter from Palos Verdes was easy to work with in getting all the paperwork squared away so I could get my Mom moved in before she got out of the hospital. The facility helped me hang drapery rods so I could make her new home cozy. It was easy for me to hook up her TVs and computer to the cable and Wi-Fi networks provided by Palos Verdes. All the shopping she will ever need is right nearby so she got rid of her car and is letting Palos Verdes take her wherever she wants to go. Physician and pharmacy services make house calls so she doesn’t need to visit doctor’s offices or pharmacies any more. Now that she is feeling better she is looking forward to moving to independent living at Palos Verdes.

My family looked at nine places before choosing Palos Verdes for our mom to move into. Since she was moving from the east coast and has alzheimer's, we were very concerned about her arrival and transition into Assisted Living. Particularly since we were arriving with her on a Sunday evening when the staff we were familiar with wouldn't be working. As it happened, the staff members that we knew and loved (Debi and Dan) actually came in voluntarily on their day off to help her(and us!) through the arrival process. They were life savers! And since mom's move-in, everyone has been more than helpful, communicative and kind. I highly recommend Palos Verdes to anyone looking for senior Independent, Assisted Living or Memory Care.

My sister and I looked at more than twelve places to move my mom into before checking into Palos Verdes. It had only been opened for a few months so we stopped by to see what it was all about. We absolutely fell in love with it. We couldn't wait to show the rest of the family. My Mom knew immediately that this was where she wanted to move and has been there for over 2 years now. The best thing is that it has only gotten better since she moved in. She still loves living there and we still feel it was the best choice we could have made!
