My wife, Pat and I moved to the Watermark in July of this year, I highly recommend the Watermark to anyone who wants a peaceful and enjoyable life in retirement. The residents are very friendly, always saying hello and always offering to help you and inform you about what is going on. The staff is also very friendly and helpful in any way they can. There is also a daily list of activities, with something for everyone. They also have transport here, for trips or personal needs. The Watermark has a very nice gym and a pool. There are scheduled activities in both the gym and the pool. There also is a parking garage which I love (I love the gym too). The garage is attached to the main residence which makes it easy to go back and forth, and avoid any rain or snow. Behind the main residence there is approximately 15 acres of beautiful grounds. You can walk the grounds or you set and read or pray or meditate. I like doing all three. You can also just sit and relax outside and talk to others. You could also have breakfast and lunch outside, which is beautiful on these beautiful summer days. There is also a chapel, for all denominations. There is also a library, and a book exchange. I am a 91 year old woman who has been living at Watermark 3030 Independent Living in Bridgeport Ct for about 8 years and should have written this a long time ago. I chose to live here on my own a few years after my husband died and knew no residents but the chance I took was well worth it. I have been very happy here right from the beginning. It has improved immensley with the outstanding leadership of Joan King our Executive Director, may she be here many more years. I feel safe here, have my privacy respected, feel safe at all times with all the excellent security features. Dining is top notch with an excellent choice of food at all meals. The people here cover almst all variety of peoples - Catholics and other Christian and, Jews Blacks, A group of SSND nuns and other denominations and groups. With appropriate services available. Everyone who comes through the front door is greeted with smiles and a welcoming attitude. {was not always that way but Joan King worked on the change successfully} maintence, laundry services and a great front desk that helps all of us, newcomers and those who still have questions. If you think I am exaggerating…I am out!

my grandmother is a resident at The Watermark. I wanted to share a quick note saying thank you for the care and community you've given her—it has truly been life-changing for her and our family! I recently visited my grandmother with my girlfriend, after she invited us over for "Sunday Brunch" – she was so proud to show off her place! The servers and staff (especially Lonnie) were so helpful and kind. It was so special to see Nana in her element, pointing to her friends sitting at other tables and having a few come over to meet us. She joked about her friend Pratip in Watermark management, who she said "looks out for her" and had made sure the kitchen started carrying her favorite dessert, yellow Jell-O, after she tried it once and preferred it to the red flavor. At the end of the meal, after we all enjoyed our yellow Jell-O, we joked with Nana that she was a really fast eater. She said "well when you live alone for 30 years, you get pretty quick". Almost every time I speak with her, a little comment reminds me what a blessing the Watermark has been in her life. She has constant community and access to friends, activities, and care in a way that she hadn't in decades. You can feel the impact in the way she walks, the way she speaks on the phone, and in so many other elements of her life. From Casino bus rides with Joey to competitive LCR games, she feels engaged and comfortable in her new home in a way that speaks to what a thriving and welcoming community you've built. I appreciate that the peace of mind it has given my mother and the rest of our family has put an extra spring in our step as well! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the work you do and the care you've shown my Nana.

I was at the Watermark visiting my friend's Mom and I was very impressed. I was amazed by the warm greeting I received from Carol, the receptionist when I walked in the door. It was as if we were family! The community is full of hustle and bustle! A vibrant group of residents were in the lobby laughing and sharing their stories from the day. I was blown away by the apartments, they were updated and beautiful! If you haven't visited yet, make your way over to see it for yourself!

Watermark 3030 is a "Community" in the true sense of the word. Both staff and residents are welcoming and supportive and caring for and about each other. It is a warm and friendly community where people have fun together and are always there to help when the occasion rises. Staff are amazing - they are responsive to your needs - always have an answer - and always with a smile! There are activities available all day, every day - with a enough variety so there is always something to appeal to someone at some time. Meals are delicious and plentiful. The setting is very special - beautiful grounds with trees and season appropriate flowers year round. You can walk the pathways, sit on the benches, and contemplate nature at its loveliest. A calm and peaceful atmosphere for all to enjoy. Watermark 3030 is a Community!

I moved my father into Assisted Living a year ago. He is currently in his 9th year of an Alzheimer's diagnosis. Although his progression is slow, he is unaware of his limitations and his need for safety and assistance. The staff in AL has been above and beyond what I expected. Communication is fantastic. I can email anytime and receive a prompt response via phone or email. I truly believe the staff have my father's best interests in mind, as well as making sure I am informed of any issues or concerns. It has been an exhausting 8 years for me, but this past year has been easier knowing that I have the backing and support of a team of staff to make sure my Dad is taken care of. I highly recommend The Inn at Watermark.

I've been a resident at the Watermark, 3030 Park Ave. for about a year and a half. Although I will admit there was an adjustment period of about a month or so, but once I fell into a routine and began to feel comfortable in my new setting I felt at home. The residents are all so friendly and accepting and the staff could not be more accommodating and respectful. I joined in on some of the many activities offered here and met many wonderful people who let me into their lives and befriended me. It has been a most positive experience for me and I have no regrets moving out of my house and making this place my new home. The apartments are lovely and offer all the amenities one could seek. The food and service is of high quality and they even have a perfect temperature indoor swimming pool that suits my needs. The entire operation is run very professionally and caringly, I look forward to many new experiences and to make the most of my remaining life here at the Watermark.

We looked at many independent living places for my parents and knew quickly that 3030 Watermark is a special place, a step above the rest. It's more of a home with staff and residents that like being there. Denise was great with setting us up in the right apartment. Cindy and her team moved my parents in flawlessly and decorated their apartment with their furniture so that it immediately felt like home. The staff and the other residents are just great. My parents are very happy and living a great active life. Our whole family is pleased with 3030 Watermark and spend much time there with my parents.

Over the last 10 years, my Mom and i visited most of the continuing care communities in Fairfield County… while the "right time" didn't come around until the last quarter of 2022, I always knew Watermark at 3030 Park was the community i wanted my Mom to join. The staff is amazing… when we visited other places the staff would greet residents but didn't know their names or any backstory to share with my Mom. The Watermark staff knows their community, all their names, all their stories and cares deeply about every person within the community. The move was great, again because of staff… they came to my Mom's home to measure and assess all of the things she could fit in her new apartment. On move day, the team came, packed up all her things. They called us around 5:00 that day and said they were ready for us! The team at Watermark set up all my Mom's furniture, pictures, everything and it looked even better than it did in her home… it was pure joy! The welcome by the community has also been amazing.

Olivera Uberti, Sales, understood from my first visit a year and a half ago what it was I had in mind. The time arrived last February and I was ready. Perfect timing. Oli worked with me all the way. Cindy Dungey, Community Move Coordinator, is outstanding. Moving from a large tri-level condo to a large unit but still less than half the space was overwhelming to me. Knowing I had to downsize, Cindy was as helpful as I could have wished. She worked with me as to my needs/desires and her thoughts as to what works best in the new unit. The end result was amazing. When I walked into. my new home the first day, I was speechless - better decorated than how I had my old condo. Kudos to you Cindy and thank you. From our first meeting with Olivera until Mom was settled in her new apartment, we have been very impressed and happy with the services and communication at Watermark. The movers packed up her home in under two hours and were polite and respectful as well as efficient. Cindy unpacked all of Mom's belongings and positioned all of her furniture perfectly. When we walked in later that afternoon, the apartment was stunning, very cozy and welcoming. There was food in the refrigerator for Mom and dinner was ordered to be brought to her apartment on that first night. Mom is looking forward to many years at Watermark where she will be cared for while still living her independent life. She was even able to bring her beloved cat. Thank you!

We are so thrilled with the Watermark! My mom and my mother in law both live there, in independent living. The facility is clean, well cared for. Pre-Covid they enjoyed bus trips, art classes, lectures, exercise classes and movies. When they locked down in March, the staff went above and beyond to care for them. They did grocery shopping, created packets with word searches and the like, facilitated face time calls with family members. It has been a huge relief to my husband and me that they are cared for and safe. We recommend the watermark whole heartedly! UPDATE: My mother and I saw an unflattering "review" of Carol, who manages the Front Desk at The Watermark, and we wanted to respond. My mom said "Carol has always been wonderful to me; if it wasn't for Carol, I would have left years ago!" And from my perspective, as a son who wants a safe, well-managed and positive environment for my mom, I can honestly say that Carol is the BEST. She takes such good care of my mom, and I know I can always count on her help when I need it. Carol is a terrific asset to the facility.

My Mother moved into The Watermark at 3030 in January 2020. Our experience with all the Watermark staff has been excellent. Cindy and Oli were amazing in coordinating a smooth transition for Mom moving from her house to her Independent Living apartment. The staff even helped Mom integrate socially with other 3030 residents at her comfort level. Joan King and her team keep all the residents and families well informed with weekly newsletters. The environment is lovely and receives routine maintenance and updates. The Watermark provides lots of activities and entertainment opportunities to the residents each week - exercise classes for all ability levels, craft classes, music performances, movies, educational talks, social hours, holiday events and much more. Since my Mom can no longer drive herself, the Transportation team has been incredibly helpful in bringing Mom to and from some of her medical appointments. Gus, Frank, Tony and Sam are friendly, courteous and provide great care in driving Mom when my family is not able. The Receptionists, Carol C and Carol S, provide exceptional service. Every person is greeted upon entering the lobby and assisted as needed in a courteous and professional manner. They are familiar with each resident and they strive to connect with family members.

Mom has been a resident of The Watermark for almost 9 years. She has been through the progression of independently living, assisted living, sadly memory care and had a stint in the rehab hospital side. We could not imagine her life or our life if we didn't collectively make this decision to move her to the watermark. At each step, the Watermark amenedities and staff were amazing. She didn't need any convincing to move there and when she needed to move from one area to the next we were consulted, guided and advised with care. From management on down they treat mom like family and take great care in how they work with us. They are her family right down to calling her mom when discussing her. Alzheimers is an awful disease. The staff has treated mom with care and dignity during the worst possible time (covid) and have made her comfortable. I cannot advise families dealing with Alzheimers to plan ahead, have those tough conversations and consider a place like the Watermark and if you are local, I strongly suggest this be your first stop.

When my parents needed to make a move from their home to a more appropriate independent living situation, The Watermark at 3030 Park Avenue was the only community my mother would consider. She was right. From the moment we met Denise and had an opportunity to take a tour, we knew The Watermark at 3030 Park Avenue was going to be their next home. My parents were not only interested in the physical surroundings and what activities they would be offered, but their main interest was the people. Who would they be interacting with on a day to day basis, both residents and staff? We were so incredibly impressed with Denise's knowing every resident and staff person's name, and she knew the relatives they were with. The move in was effortless and stress free. Cindy handled every aspect of making their new apartment live in ready and feeling like their home. It felt familiar from all the little details she painstakingly did. Brandon saw to setting up all the equipment requiring internet or cable connection so my parents never had to worry about dealing with the cable company. Dinners were arranged so they never felt lonely or awkward in the dining room, and from those dinners, friendships developed. The phone rang from their new found friends inviting them to a program or just to chat. My parents' days were filled with smiles and joy. As their children, we were always greeted warmly by name with an air of respect and gratitude for being actively involved in our parents' well being. The residents and staff got to know us as friends, which made the time we spent at The Watermark that much more enjoyable. Sadly, our parents' time living their new life was not as long as we had hoped as illness befell each of them at a different time. We are extremely grateful for the incredible care from the wonderfully trained staff at The Springs of Watermark. As their days came to an end, the compassion shown by everyone from the administrative team, nurses, aides and even household support staff was more than we could ever have imagined. The outpouring of support from their friends, staff and even the residents we hadn't gotten a chance to know has been overwhelming.

I came in January 2023 and have enjoyed my time here. I find the different instructors and all of Watermark's management to be very helpful with anything I have asked or inquired about and they all have been very helpful. I started with the seated yoga and drumming classes and have learned to play games here that I never played before which I enjoy tremendously. We had a Hawaiian Buffet last night with a Ukulele entertainment by the residents with their instructor and it was delightful. The food was delicious and the servers were management and people from the different parts that make Watermark run smoothly.

We moved to Watermark from Seattle, WA, where we had lived 50 years, raised two wonderful children who now live in New England, one in Fairfield, CT and the other in Providence, RI. About four years ago, visiting our children, we looked at Watermark and some other retirement communities in the area, just to see the options. Last summer we decided it was time. Our daughter in Fairfield toured the available apartments in Watermark and told us, "I've found you a home." And home it is. We've been here seven months. The apartments are arranged horizontally along the building, capitalizing on daylight flooding all rooms. We have plenty of closet and storage space, and a nice kitchen which doesn't get much use because the meals in the dining room are delicious. Residents and staff are friendly and supportive. The staff is cheerful, helpful, and kind. There are plenty of activities from exercise programs to all kinds of games. We have an impressive Resident Chorus and a plucky ukulele group. Occasional live musicians and lecturers entertain, and a variety of documentaries and virtual performances are shown on a big screen in the auditorium. We visited the Mashantucket Pequot Museum on one of the many 'off campus' excursions. If you want to participate in activities, you are welcomed; if you choose not to, that is fine too. We enjoy the walking path through the lovely backyard grounds, and I am growing tomatoes and flowers in one of the raised garden boxes for residents. We are very happy in our home.

We recently moved my Mom into an Independent Living apartment at 3030 Park. We had an excellent experience from the initial correspondence with Oli to the tour of the facility, along with a coordinated move-in that was beyond our expectation. Cindy and the team that unpacked mom, put everything in place, including thoughtful snack baskets, and sandwiches in the fridge along with beverages. The attention to detail, the loving care that went into staging her apartment to really make it feel like home brought us to tears. We could not have found a better place for Mom. Over the last 10 tens, my Mom and i visited most of the continuing care communities in Fairfield County... while the "right time" didn't come around until the last quarter of 2022, I always knew Watermark at 3030 Park was the community i wanted my Mom to join. The staff is amazing... when we visited other places the staff would greet residents but didn't know their names or any backstory to share with my Mom. The Watermark staff knows their community, all their names, all their stories and cares deeply about every person within the community. The move was great, again because of staff... they came to my Mom's home to measure and assess all of the things she could fit in her new apartment. On move day, the team came, packed up all her things. They called us around 5:00 that day and said they were ready for us! The team at Watermark set up all my Mom's furniture, pictures, everything and it looked even better than it did in her home... it was pure joy! The welcome by the community has also been amazing.

My husband and I have enjoyed living at 3030 for many reasons, including the following: Each apartment includes a kitchen and closet space is much more than adequate. Interesting day trips are offered to the residents at low or no charge. For example, Silvermine Art Gallery, a cruise on the Hudson River, Pequot Museum, and a ferry ride to Port Jefferson. Musical events such as groups of instrumentalists, and singers entertain residents at Watermark. Exercise programs, led by enthusiastic staff members, are available to all. In addition to roomy, lovely apartments, the residents are invited to join Bridge, Mahjong and other groups if they wish to do so. Each resident is welcomed to participate in as many or few activities as he or she wishes. A library, furnished with books and newspapers of all sorts available to all residents. A swimming pool and connected changing rooms and showers are provided. The best part about Watermark is the friendly, welcoming staff and residents.

I am super grateful for everyone at The Watermark at 3030 Park. I came to the rehab unit due to a bad fall and was so well cared by everyone I interfaced with from nurses and aids to the chefs in the kitchen! A special shoutout to PT/OT who found the perfect balance between listening to me and pushing me which allowed me to find my way back home. And a quick note: while I am not ready for senior living due to being younger than the average resident, the rehab unit welcomed me with a beautiful private room and bathroom that looked out over well kept grounds which was every part of my recovery as the amazing team I had the honor to get to know. Thank you to all!

Moving my father into the Watermark was the best decision we ever made. He was nervous, scared and all alone when my mom, his wife of 62 years, passed. He didn’t want to be a burden on any of his children and none of us wanted him to live by himself. We moved him into an apartment at the Watermark and within a weeks time he said “this place is the best, I love it here!” The staff has been amazing to deal with and my Dad is happy, and safe. They keep him active and watch his health better than myself or sister ever could. Thank you Watermark!

My family's interactions with The Watermark over the last couple of weeks, all centering around the placement of my 94 year old mother into independent living, have been nothing but fantastic. Denise Rozelle with Cindy Dungey both provided us the kind of warm welcome we needed that immediately put us all at ease as we entertained the options available to us. What was a bit daunting for my mom was made much lighter and enjoyable by their friendly and reassuring nature. We toured the facility with Denise. What is an already beautiful lobby is scheduled to be transformed over the next few months into a more inviting and updated space. The apartment we looked at was perfect, a one bedroom unit with an updated modern look and feel. Having an outside balcony with ample space for a cafe table and chairs to enjoy the scenery was an added bonus. More importantly, especially to my mom, was the feel of The Watermark. It is a community of residents traveling different paths in their later chapters of life, customizable to whatever stage you are in. The activities range from physical exercise programs to art and educational enhancement programs which provide great opportunities to get involved, no matter (her) age. The chapel was a highlight for her and would be a place for quiet reflection whenever desired. This is a fantastic property staffed by personnel who are committed to her happiness at this time of her life.

Very nice, warm and accomplished residents. All staff members - at all levels - are courteous and doing their best to help. Rooms, facilities (swimming pool, Gym, walking trail, common rooms, etc) are outstanding. Integrated and complete facility - Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care etc. Nurses on site. All kinds of classes and activities: Yoga, Balance, strength training, poker, poker, table tennis, etc Breakfast and lunch are fine for vegetarians like us but vegetarians' dinner choices are limited. We are in the process of relocating our 98 year old mother to the Watermark. We spent a lot of time looking at and comparing facilities and ultimately selected the Watermark based on its amenities and services. We worked with Olivera Uberti on apartment selection and getting through all of the paperwork. She was very accommodating and patient with us and made the process easy. After we decided on the Watermark, we found out that the move and apartment set up were included in the entrance fee. We cannot begin to express what a gift that is. The moving company could not have been better. Cindy Dungey was extraordinary, from working with us on a layout plan, to the helping us understand what furniture would fit, to her unpacking and arranging the apartment, even to the extent of cleaning things before they were put away. What a great beginning to the next chapter in our mother’s life.

I want to thank all the Watermark employees with whom my Mom and I had the pleasure to know for making her move to Watermark stress free and her time in her beautiful apartment so lovely. From the beginning, Denise Rozelle has been our Champion! Denise has characteristics you don't find in employees of similar facilities; compassion, positivity, always available, honesty, reliability and her longevity with the company is impressive! Cindy Dungey was above and beyond in helping us with the move. She transformed Mom's apartment into a showplace. When Mom passed, Cindy assisted me with the difficult task of vacating her apartment upon her passing. Carol at the front desk was always there for me and it was John who broke the news that Mom was taken to the Hospital where she passed the next day. It felt like a friend calling. Everyone felt like family. The head of Housekeeping was so kind to Mom. The Nurse was very helpful. The folks in the Cafe were wonderful to me after Mom passed. Susan Gibbs has been terrific, on point and quick to respond on all financial matters. And, of course, the Executive Director Joan, for her patience and understanding when she visited my Mom in her apartment. She does a heck of an incredible job overseeing Watermark. Mom and I checked out many places over the past years and nothing comes close to Watermark on all levels! There's no place like Watermark. Exceptional on every level! Thank you, again for making such a difficult time so positive.

Im writing to send a big THANK YOU to the Watermark for the wonderful work your staff has been doing to keep your residents comfortable and safe, especially during this health crisis.In December, 2019, my elderly father moved into the Watermark at 3030 Park Avenue in Bridgeport, CT after the death of my mother. The staff was patient and helpful in helping us find the right apartment for my father. Most amazing was that a staff member, Cindy, helped my father decide what furniture would look well in the new apartment and supervised his move. On the day of the move, we left my fathers house in the morning and, when we arrived at the Watermark in the afternoon, Cindy had unpacked everything, and the apartment looked cozy and comfortable. She made a difficult time much easier for my family.My father is a critical person with high standards, and he has been highly complimentary of the Watermark since he moved in. The staff introduced him to other residents so that he quickly felt less lonely. He enjoys walking on the grounds, using the library and fitness center, playing bridge - and he has recently started playing pool! His only mild complaint is that, they give me too much food!And, after years of worrying about how my parents were managing, especially since I live at some distance from them, I no longer worry because my father seems content and comfortable at the Watermark.hank you!Joanne GreenAtlanta, Georgia

As we moved my mom from Missouri to Connecticut, Oli organized her move around the schedule that we had.
