Excellence Senior Living - Just Amazing I went in just curious to see what all the fuss was about. But the moment I stepped through the doors of Excellence Senior Living, something shifted. It didn't feel like a facility. It felt like a place where life is still very much happening. The building is stunning ” modern, spotless, flooded with natural light. There's a little inner courtyard where residents sit, chat, enjoy the Florida warmth 😀 . Everyone I found in the way was just... content. What got me was how full the place is. A library, arts and crafts room, movie theater, a 24-hour bistro ” yes, 24 hours, because the coffee never stops. The dining room is genuinely beautiful, and the food matches it. The staff, though ” that's the real thing. You can't fake the way they interact with the residents. Warm, present, unhurried. Like moving through a room full of family. I left thinking about what it really means to age with dignity ” not just being cared for, but being cared about. Excellence Senior Living gets that difference. 100% what I want for me and my wife.

One of the few places where you can confidently entrust the care of your loved ones; there is trained staff on hand at all times, attentive to the needs of the seniors in the family. This senior sent her is very basic if you were to go to the first floor memory care you would just leave your family there to die. The director of care Jasmine doesn’t know how to properly handle elderly residence who are at the end of their lifespan. She has left multiple residence in their bed wasting away without anyone checking on them for days no food no water. I feel so bad for all the patients in memory care due to this director of care not being a certified nurse or having a background in nursing she even claimed to be a nurse before state told her no longer to have that title next to her name. Excellent senior living is infested with roaches so big that it put house roaches to shame. They have roaches crawling all over patients in various rooms and they leave food out at night and during the date time for ants and other bugs to crawl, lay eggs in the clients ears. One time I was in the memory care unit of the first floor, and there was a elderly man who could not see and ended up peeing on the floor because no one was there to help him to the bathroom in time. There are also residents who had pneumonia, but the director of care decided not to send these a patient to the hospital to get treated for that pneumonia and that allow the staff to work around these clients without any facemask protection or any warning that they have walking pneumonia. Other staff members have gotten sick from pneumonia due to this. Many of the residents in the memory care unit on each floor, barely get checked on throughout the night. It would be lucky that some residents don’t pass away with a court tied around their neck due to the lack of care from the director of care neglectful actions. Hopefully, a new director of care will soon be appointed so that policies can change in the on professional gossip between the director of care and regular CNA staff can be rectified soon.

My father was coming from another ALF where he was not treated right. Now , He is another person , he has his self esteem up and his health is much better . I want to thank to Jasmine, she is a great leader and has a kind heart, Derrick helped us with the best attitude when we moved our father to EXCELLENCE , the nurses , the staff is great. The place is SUPER CLEAN , beautiful, the food smells and taste so good, we feel at home in there. I am pleased and confident that my father is in the best hands I recommend EXCELLENCE

Words can not express my gratitude for the professionalism, knowledge, care and kindness that my Dad, Pablo Rodriguez receives on a daily basis at the Excellence Senior Living. The staff is well trained on emergencies and dealing with the elderly. Every one is pleasant and really cares for the comfort and needs of all the residents. Last year I had given the opportunity to be there for the family events and they look forward to be there. They dance enjoying themselves and their families, and do some shopping with difrent vendors. The staff is awesome checking out how their doing if they need something.

I/we found Excellence senior living facility a little over 2yrs ago. Our discussion was between Excellence & another facility, however Derick Waines the Marketing Director left a valuable impression. We had several family issues going on at the time and I will always be thankful that God put him in our path. Derick, didn't treat us as money he treated us like family. So obviously we choose Excellence. Then came Jasmine Miller the Res. Care Director, she is exceptional, Jasmine I want you to know that you are an integral part of the healthcare team. Without you, Excellence wouldn't survive. Thank you for everything you have done. You and your team have played an essential role in the well-being of our father/uncle. providing a compassionate approach to our father/uncle's treatment, Your bedside manor and the ability to gently handle him has made a significant difference in our lives. My mom is a newer resident and from day 1, the team has made her feel welcomed and at home. The patient care team is so kind, gentle and have delivered excellent care in meeting her physical needs. I couldn’t feel more grateful for the staff and all that they do!

My father in law has been there for 5 years and I have nothing but positive things to say. Jasmine, who is the resident care director has been truly incredible!! You can tell she genuinely cares about the residents and their families. The staff at Excellence have made the transition for my father in law and my family so much easier and I know he is in good hands there with the staff. My mom lives here! The staff are amazing to her and to me. Kelly VanCleve, the Executive Director and Jasmine Miller, Resident Care Director are FANTASTIC! All I have to do is reach out to them with a concern and they help me right away. The kitchen team, front desk team, maintenance team, and nursing team are all wonderful too. Dealing with Medicaid, Medicare, and your parent's needs is overwhelming but Kelly and Jasmine always help me navigate the process. A shout out to Lisa for being my mom's go to head nurse. I love this place.

My dad fell in the parking lot of Excellence Living in my presence. on October 30, 2024. I never saw him fall before, and this made me nervous. I was not capable of getting him up. I went into Excellence Senior Living, went to reception, told them my dad fell in the parking lot. I needed help to help him stand on his feet again. Excellent Eddie happened to be hanging out in the reception area at the time and without me even asking, offered his help to me and my dad. Eddie came out immediately and helped my dad off of the ground. I was grateful for Eddie that day! Eddie is an asset to Excellence Senior Living. Thank you for being so kind and caring for my dad. You have good karma with you always!

I have never met a Resident Care Director of an Assisted Living Facility like Jasmine Miller. She is deeply involved in the care of each of her residents, although there are many residents in this facility. She personally sees to the needs and well-being of more than 200 patients. She organizes her staff to carry out her orders in a timely and efficient manner, creating a smooth flow throughout the organization. She keeps her finger on the daily pulse of the organization, ensuring everything is running to plan. Jasmine is generous and giving of her time and attention, which is greatly appreciated by the residents. I personally am very grateful to have Jasmine as my Resident Care Director. She has helped me and my husband on numerous occaisions. If you select Excellence Senior Living as your Assisted Living Facility, or select it as the home for a member of your family, you will not be disappointed. I chose this facility for my father in November of 2023, and it has been the best decision I could ever have made! The facility itself is bright and clean. Most of all, the people are delightful. They really take care of my father, make sure he's fed well, and that he remembers his medication. I never have to worry about him. He has found many new friends to socialize with, and all of the staff knows him from maintenance to reception. I can't say enough great things about the office staff (Derick and Kelly) making the transition from SNF to ALF as streamline as possible. Most of all, my dad is happy to live here! Came here to visit a family member, and the place is really amazing. They seem ti go above and beyond for the senior residents, and when I came to visit I saw they were doing a game night which is just great! The residents seems to enjoy their time here, and the houses seem to enjoy their jobs and love to be with the residents. I met one named Jasmine and she was so sweet and so great with everybody! Great job yall, keep it up!

ESL is a wonderful facility. My mother has been living there for three years and the staff could not be more accommodating and attentive to her needs. They are quite responsive to us on many different issues and are a true pleasure to interact with. I would highly recommend ESL to anyone.

During my visit to Excellence, I was very impressed by its beauty and tranquility. The atmosphere was peaceful, and on that particular Saturday, they organized a festival for the residents featuring games, music, and delicious food. I enjoyed witnessing the residents singing, dancing, playing, and simply engaging in conversations with their friends.

I can not say enough about the staff. They have such care and compassion for the residents who live there. Being so far away from a loved one in hospice is incredibly hard. Communicating with staff and knowing they are in good hands makes it much easier to leave. Sabrina especially has gone above and beyond during this difficult time. If you have a loved one needing Memory Care, I recommend Excellence.

Excellence is a beautiful ALF for seniors. My dad has been a resident for a several months and the staff are wonderful! He has as a nurse Jasmine Miller, she is a God sent to say the least. She is the most caring, so very attentive and has the biggest heart. She takes care of my dad as if he was her own dad. I love her! Thank you Jasmine for all you do. I placed my father here almost a month ago. It was a rocky start as it seems the admin could use a little work, but to be fare people were in new positions. I must say that Jasmine, Randi and Sheila are the glue to this facility! Jasmine is an integral part of the day to day care of the residents and she always knows what’s going on with my father. If there is a question of care or scheduling she has the answer or will find out and get right back to me. Jasmine has great ideas and knows each resident. They all love her and just observing the interaction and smile on their faces gives me comfort that someone has their best interest at heart. Sheila and Randi keep the medical side running smoothly and their communication is excellent. Maddie on the floor with the residents is so kind, caring, and a wonderful help when I visit if I have questions on something with my father. Ericka at the front desk always has a smile and greets everyone by name. This great group of people is what makes Excellence a top notch facility for loved ones.

I moved into this facility about 5 weeks ago. The staff from day one has been great. Very attentive and friendly. The maintenance guy, George, is fantastic!! The housekeeping staff is also spot on. My mother just moved into Excellence and the staff was so incredibly kind and helpful on the day she moved in. She was so nervous, but every staff member that came to talk to us was so nice and it calmed her nerves within the first couple of hours. She has a beautiful private room and plenty of space to make the place her own. Look very forward to her thriving there!

My mother-in-law lives at Excellence Senior Living. It is a beautiful place and she has met so many wonderful friends. The staff is so kind, caring and compassionate. Her experience there has allowed her to be independent but at the same time have a TEAM of people to assist her when needed. She knows all the residents and team members by name and speaks of them often. We are so grateful to everyone at Excellence for providing EXCELLENT service and care to our loved one. Update...my mother-in-law passed away. Excellence allowed Hospice to come to the ALF. Not only did we have the Excellence team to help, but we also had Hospice. Mom was able to remain in her private room. Her friends and familiar staff were visiting daily. Due to end of life, we were allowed to be with her even under the Covid restrictions....we were tested regularly by Excellence. They were so accommodating, supportive, caring. Mom passed away in her private room...all her familiar surroundings...her home. Our experience with Excellence has been truly amazing. Not only is it a beautiful place, but the people are so caring, loving and treat the residents like family. We are so grateful.

My sister has lived at Excellence for over 2 years. The director is very caring and helpful to her when she needs any sort of help even if it's just moral support. He has managed everything extremely well during this difficult pandemic. The staff is also kind and helpful to my sister. The facility is top notch in every way and is maintained very well. I would highly recommend this assisted living facility to anyone looking for one in the Orlando area.

I started looking for just a place that my Mother could go for a respite stay to give my husband and myself a break. We had been caring for my Father and my Mom for about 11 years. We needed a vacation and it was wonderful to go and know Mom was being taken care of while we relaxed. The facility is beautiful, clean and feels like a resort, so I told Mom she was getting her own vacation. My Dad passed in 2016 and Mom seemed to be needing more and more attention from me. Being alone all day in her mother-in-law suite. I had some emergencies with my health and ended up not being able to ensure she got outside or had time for us to just talk. My Mom was always active, dancing, golfing, sewing, crafts and I just couldn't take her around. She is 94 years old and still is alert, but is an amputee using a prosthesis for almost 17 years. She gets around with her walker fairly well, but needs a little help here and there. With my illnesses it became apparent Mom needed more than I could give. I worked with the Director Angie to see how they could care for Mom. Angie was heaven sent. She is a very caring advocate for the people that live there. We had to workout the transition from a respite stay to a permanent stay and she was amazing. The caregivers are ALL very friendly and helpful. Everyone knows my Mom at this point and all the activities are making her so happy. No more sitting in one room staring at the 4 walls. She has her own room with her things about her, people who care about her and a button around her neck to get assistance whenever she needs something. They call to remind her of events. Mom loves to read and she has joined their reading club. They also have a library that Mom has raided for all the stories she likes. When I call it seems she is always busy doing or going somewhere. Everything from an icecream social, to movie night. Mom keeps telling me how much she love it there and I am so happy she now has a life too.

Mixed Review, depends on patients/residents needs. This is more of a retirement/independent living facility, not an actual assisted living. Basically for elderly who need very minimal help. For them it is quite lovely. My father however needed assisted living, we even paid for the mid-level assisted living care as well as for laundry on top of the regular monthly rent. He needed much prompting to use toilet as he is incontinent with no urge to urinate so should have had hourly-ish cueing. He wasn't assisted in changing his disposable underwear though when he was prompted, he would be told to do it even though it was listed in his ADL's to have bladder management assistance. I believe the only actual ADL he was provided any assistance with was showering twice a week. His bowel movements weren't even monitored, even though he took medication for constipation daily, so when he didn't go for several days, he did end up many times clogging the toilet, i was told once if he continued to clog the toilet I would be charged a outside plumber's fee. Seemed to me they should have been monitoring his medicals daily and realized if he might have needed something extra to call the doctor about to get him regular on weeks there may have been a problem. Deliveries would not be put away for him, but rather just left in the entry to his room making the actual space to go through a tight squeeze to navigate with his walker. I contacted nursing several times requesting health updates and never received info (I live in a different state). I was never informed his incontinence had gotten worse, nor about his vision getting worse (he is legally blind in one eye due to Macular degeneration. Upon reviewing his recent doctor notes, i saw nothing regarding either. I didn't see any nursing notes by staff given to the doctor outlining his health changes either. My father received the newspaper daily and apparently at some point within last several months living there he stopped reading them. This was a major behavioral change and it apparently wasn't noted anywhere in his records. I am fairly certain when he would visit the doctor (who did visit on site so that was nice) the doctor probably asked him how was he doing, and my father who has short term memory loss and mild cognitive impairment would say fine, and the discussion ended. The nursing staff does not assist with shaving, and they do have a 'beauty shop' but it is more aimed at woman needing their hair done, so we had to consistently take my father to get shaves at the barber shop. Again it is a lovely place for Independent elderly, but it is far from an assisted living facility and it does not allow for aging in place. Oh, almost forgot, his ankles were raw with scratching which also wasn't noted in any medical notes given to me (he is diabetic with Neuropathy and was supposedly seeing the podiatrist regularly as well, but ...?), and his new doctor prescribed cream which is now applied daily and his ankles are smooth and fine within a week. He is doing much better now, getting changed on a regular basis, going to see a urologist again to seek more help, has seen the neurologist for the increased short term memory loss, as well as will be seeing a retina specialist to determine why the vision loss has dramatically increased and if there is anything we can do to rectify it.

This is an absolutely beautiful facility. The surroundings reminded me of a quality resort instead of an ALF. The nursing staff are caring and kept my family well informed our father’s progress. This IS Orlando’s best kept secret!
