Ashley and the marketing team were fantastic in engaging and supporting us in making our father’s transition from home to the Waltonwood community. Recognizing that relocation decisions are highly emotional, the team went from a sales pitch approach to becoming trusted guides. Every email was answered promptly. Any requests were handled quickly. We had several tours and visits there and our schedule was always accommodated even at the last minute. Highly recommend.

We are so lucky to have found Carriage House (Independent living) for my father in law. Firstly, all of the staff is AMAZING! Everything is so clean and decorated beautifully. They have endless activities and special activities for their residents. You can tell they put so much thought and effort into making everyone feel at home. Ashley helped us from the very beginning, and we were so impressed with her dedication, patience, attention to detail, and caring personality. Her communication exceeded expectations, and she helped us navigate the entire process. My FIL has been truly loving his new place, has met lovely people, and says the food is incredible. They are so encouraging in getting him to be social and involved with activities, and my husband and I are so relieved to know he’s in such good care. Thank you to everyone who has helped us!!

My 97 (was 95 at the time) mother moved into the independent living building two years ago. We picked this place as it seemed nice and she had two friends living there. We lucked out when she moved in as they had a room on the first floor near the dinning room. It had low counters which is a great thing for my vertically challenged Mom (shes 4'7"). It has a great view of the courtyard. She has made a lot of friends and it seems that everyone there knows her. The place looked a little worn but just recently they upgraded the interior and it looks fantastic. The people at the front desk, especially William, are extremely helpful whenever my Mom needs assistance. This is very gratifying for my siblings as the closest is 30 mins away with the rest of us being 1 & 1/2, 2 hrs and out of state. We feel very comfortable that she is being well taken care of and there help for her if she ever needs it. Oh, there are lots of activities for her and she LOVES bingo!

The staff here is Amazing!!!! From Ashley and Kenny who assisted with the walk through and move in process, William and Erin who manage the day to day happenings of the IL apartments. To Pat the transportation and hug specialist. Everyone here is wonderful, truly caring, kind and make you feel like family. My mom was a bit apprehensive about selling her home and moving but when walked her through she was excited. All she speaks of now is how much she loves it here and so happy that I found this place. As the 2021 Detroit Free Press winner of Best of the Best, I can say since April of 2023 when I found Waltonwood Carriage Park for my mom, it’s still the best of the best! My mom finally understood that she could not live alone & moved in December 2023 to the Assisted Living level of care. Mom is very happy. She lived in Plymouth & wanted to stay in the city so WCP is a good fit. The Executive & Pastry Chefs are a good fit for me when I take a meal with her With weather challenges, it’s nice to share a meal with her & the friends she has made in the very short time she has lived at WCP. ’Everyone can choose to be busy like my mom with four scheduled activities every day. My mom loves that her day begins with exercise & often doesn’t return to her room until just before dinner to freshen up! I have peace of mind that my mom is happy & in an environment that provides her appropriate oversight, choice & challenge. PS. Thanks to our new Chef, Fran & the staff (shout out to Jake!) for making the Easter Brunch on March 23 a beautiful event. Get ready for next year, I’m sending a shout out to Mom’s nieces & nephews to join us. Can’t wait for the egg hunt!

My mother in law lives here. It's very safe, kept clean, good food, beautiful apartments, cleaning services, laundry rooms and plenty of activities for seniors. It's a bit pricey but it's lovely and she enjoys living here very much.

Waltonwood Carriage Park has a very strong activities program with lots of fun things for the residents to do - like bingo, lunch outings, cider mills trips, weekly live music, top-quality arts & crafts, gardening, scavenger hunts, theme parties, and trips to the casino! But the best thing about Carriage Park is that it feels like family.

I've lived at Waltonwood for 21/2 years. The staff here is caring and friendly. We had no I've lived at Waltonwood for 2 1/2 years. The staff here is caring and friendly. In a lockdown during the pandemic (we had no cases of Covid) they made sure we had things to keep us busy. Now that we are free to get out again, we have many activities planned in and outside of Waltonwood. Residents here are friendly also. We are like family.

My mom Rose is a resident at Waltonwood Carriage Park and I would like to thank all of the staff for taking such good care of my mom. Nicole and Sara are the greatest. They are always looking after my mom to make sure she is comfortable. When ever shes needs someone to talk to they are there for her. She always smiles when they come to visit her. During these times dealing with Covid it is very nice to know when we as children can not see her every day that there are people like Nicole and Sara taking care of my mom. Thank you so much!

My grandma has been at Carriage Park since December 2019. Life enrichment directors, Sarah and Nicole, have gone out of their way to help my grandma feel welcomed and loved at her new home. With limited to no visiting hours during COVID, they made time to organize zoom calls and window visits. This was very special to me as I was still able to see my grandma and make memories during this time. Thank you Sarah and Nichole!

I can’t say enough of this Place! My mom has been there over two years and the care she’s been getting is exemplary! She has been to other places but I feel that this is the best place. The director and concierge always go out of their way for me. The caregivers are more than just caregivers -they show loving concern for my mom who is in hospice. The activity directors always try to keep mom involved and you can see they also love the residents . There is always some type of activity they can do with others.From the cleaning ladies to the maintenance staff, the cafeteria servers , caring nursing staff, chef , bus drivers and anyone else I failed to mention- To me this is a little place of heaven on earth for my mom. I can’t thank Dustin and his staff enough. During this pandemic I have felt mom has been in the best place possible. God bless you Carriage Park!™

Placing mom in assisted living was hard as hell! Finding Waltonwood Carriage Park! Priceless. Mom was always a very social person so I worried she would be bored and lonely. No such thing. The Life Enrichment Program has kept mom engaged and active even in covid times! Nichole and Sarah are fun and encouraging ! They get to know the residents and what they like and are good at! My fav thing was watching mom bowling on Sunday’s. Can’t wait for covid to be over so I can watch her again. Even during covid times they are always getting mom out of her room and making fun things ! It makes my heart soar knowing mom is in their care!

Last evening, we had a situation with my mother and your two evening nurses (1st floor) were outstanding. They treated my mother with patience and dignity and calmed us - as she was just enrolled in hospice. They were understanding and very polite. Too often people are not given proper credit for a job well done and I just wanted to let you know these ladies were fabulous.
