Reviews Congregational Home
October 2024
My sister was at Congregational Home for 4 months. Care on Rehab floor was great, except exceptionally difficult to get pain meds adjusted, but if you are transferred to Long Term Care on 1st floor, don’t unpack, just go find somewhere else to stay. The care was so bad after only 4 days we transferred her to another facility. Not answering light, putting her to bed without call light, aides talking to her so rudely you can’t even imagine it. Do not EVER sentence your loved ones to 1st Floor at Congregational Home. And by the way, the bathroom doors will not accommodate a wheelchair which we found odd for a nursing home.

Firstly, our neighbor, Bill, expressed his care here with misty eyes, and they treat him like family. He is getting therapy, getting stronger, the staff are amazing in care, cleanliness, and attention. We don't wait more than 10 minutes for an 'urgent' call button. Food is good- he enjoys it. They have birds, fish, outdoor seating for clients and family. The staff are professional, caring and call him by name . Overall a 5!! Thank you CH! Give the staff a raise-$50/ hr and bonus for the extra mile! My husband is a nurse and did clinicals there and had same perspective from the caregiver point of view. Good job- good care for loved ones! Bill thanks you!

Such a wonderful staff in the Rehab and caring CNA's. Chelsey is an amazing Case Manager!! They really take pride in their work and for their patients. Very compassionate people. The rooms are spacious and private so family can gather comfortably. If they have an open bed when you call, best grab it cause it won't be there for long. The assisted living side is equally great in aspects of care and compassionate staff. Again, if they have an opening, it won't be for long! Pat Sass was such a comfort to our family while there too!

Review is for the rehab floor and staff and services: I cannot recommend them highly enough! My father-in-law rehabbed there after suffering a very serious stroke. Each employee we interacted with was knowledgeable, sweet, and compassionate, from nurses to aides to med techs to therapists to social workers to food services to laundry services to cleaning services and other staff members. Each made an effort to get to know him and learn his preferences. While Covid precautions kept family away, the Congregational Home team became his family and looked after him and truly cared for him. Anyone would be lucky to be admitted there. Thank you, CH!

Excellent facility—caring and professional staff especially the CNAs, Med Techs, nurses, food service personnel, laundry services people, cleaning staff, unit secretaries, front office workers and activities coordinators. Congregational home is a very happy environment with top notch care from everyone who works there.

I have worked in many nursing homes and this is by far the best place to work, live and grow. Kindness is spread thought out the building from not only the staff ,but also the residents. From the moment you step in the building you join a community of respect and care unlike other places. All nursing homes through out the nation will have their struggles ,but the administrator, social workers and nursing managers at Congregational Home strive to improve for not only the best medical care ,but also the best quality of life for there employees and residents.

Amazing Place to Work as a CMA also a CNA! Would recommend. All the workers care for the residents as if they are there own family. They can be very by the book sometimes but would call that professional in this setting 🙂

My grandparents absolutely love it here! The management and staff take amazing care of their residents, are easy to work with, and communicate very well. I definitely recommend Congregational Home for assisted living!

Amazing place. I have been in a few of these types of facilities, but this place is so much different and so much better! Everything is clean and the employees are so friendly and nice. The patients seem very happy to be there.

My husband has been at Congregational Home twice in the past 2 months for rehab after suffering 2 strokes. The room and entire facility is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff have been wonderful and the care is excellent. I am a RN, so I know the difference between excellent care and poor care. The caregivers have been very professional and always with a smile. Many of them have been there for years and one person told me she had been there for nearly 20 years and loves it. They have several activities for residents, from visiting dogs to music to games and religious meetings. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend Congregational Home for anyone who needs rehab, assisted living, or skilled nursing.
