Was checking several different places, and my experience with Dara at Abbewood was by far the best. She answered all my questions, gave me a tour of the facilities, and gave me ideas for resources I hadn’t even thought about. The nurse, Kathy, that came out to assess my Dad was great, and he had nothing but good things to say of the experience. I can’t recommend them enough, and feel that my Dad will be in great hands.

My dad started in Independent Living and then moved to Assisted living. The director,Terri, was easy to work with. Great experience in Independent Living. The nurses in AL were really good as were most of the aides. The aides were often understaffed though. Front Desk staff was very friendly as were the servers in the dining room. A beautiful campus with the pond out front, and courtyards

I visit a member of my church here and have enjoyed several meals and programs with them. The residents seem very happy and there is a nice sense of community. The staff is caring and attentive.

The staff is very friendly and interact with the residents. My mom and dad just love it there staff knows them by name. It’s such a positive environment and we feel comfortable that my parents have such a safe and personal place to live and interact with other seniors.

We have two relatives in the Abbewood. The staff are all very nice. There are many activities available if interested. It is comforting to know the staff are checking on them and there to help if needed especially when we are unavailable.

This is an amazing place! The staff is friendly and I feel so comfortable knowing they are taking care of my mom. Everyone from the front desk to the servers in the dining room call residents by name and always take the time to chat and encourage them to participate in activities. I was nervous moving mom out of her home but wish I would have done it sooner! Thank you!

My father lived there for over a year. Nurses were very caring and communication good between family/facility. But 2 BIG problems - we were told the in-house pharmacy takes all insurances. NOT true and VERY expensive! Then we were forced to hire 1st light for 24/7 care which he did Not need then forced out! Would not recommend!

I would highly recommend The Abbewood to anyone contemplating a move to a retirement facility. Everyone is professional and friendly. THE ENTIRE STAFF is courteous and professional and very efficient. The facility is beautiful and very well maintained. My mother received excellent care from the aides, nurses, VNA, First Light, and Crossroads Hospice. We made an excellent choice in selecting The Abbewood for our mother.

My grandmother has been living at The Abbewood for 5 years. It is always a pleasure to visit her here. The staff greets me with smiles and are very friendly. They are all very caring and wonderful people. It is a very clean community and my grandmother is well cared for. I would highly recommend the Abbewood to anyone looking into senior living for their loved one.
